If blizzard makes it so you don’t need to have the cards in your collection yourself, but you are able to play with all cards from those specific expansion, i would legit even re-install hearthstone for this after like 8/9 years. If not, im good 👍🏻
Why would Blizzard give you free cards in this new game mode? Why wouldn't just let you buy packs from wild? I mean, i want it free too, but there is no reason why they would do that
Just a new way for Blizzard to try to stop people from disenchanting old cards, therefor pushing more pack sales, while at the same time punishing players who do have to DE old cards to keep up. Worked out great for Duels, a game mode almost nobody plays these days.
This seems really fun. I have always enjoyed wild more than standard for the sheer amount of cards you get to play with, but the wild meta has remained VERY static over the years and gets quite stale. I'm excited to see a wider card pool that changes semi frequently outside of getting a new card or two from the new set. I think it's cool to potentially see niche decks with cards that could never see much play due to either not being available, due to rotating out at an inopportune time, or just being outclassed by other cards.
My primary argument in favor of a mode like this when it was getting theorized by so many people for years now, is that it shouldn't be too hard to maintain and update, a tweak in the rules here and there, rotations that should be as simple as turning some off and some on. It should all be pretty nice and smooth. Should.
the idea sounds good, only issue, that you have to basically have every card avaible to play it competivly since every month rules change so someone new or f2p is going to have an even harder time
Ah yes, Hearthstone Modern/Pioneer. I'd love to see Wild Pauper (all commons) be a future twist format, since I think it could actually be a pretty interesting experience to try out, especially with such a low bar for entry.
Pauper's been adapted as a Tavern Brawl in the past (called Tinyfin) and it is indeed one of the more interesting Tavern Brawls, wish it came up more often, would love to see something like that in Twist.
I have been thinking for a long time about a playmode like this. In my mind, it was "It's like wild because all cards are "available", but every 2-4 weeks, Blizzard rotates which sets are part legal for the mode". Just adding some regularly scheduled semi-freshness
So the twist could be: “Each minion has rush” or “Tokens you make are doubled” or maybe “Minions with 1 attack have poisonous”? That can be interesting twists
Bruh i feel like they finally fixed wild 😂. I was just talking last week where they can do this to fix wild. They literally turned it into a new gamemode.
I think we've finally found the mode where I'm going to be able to consistently get Legend 😂 I'm basically a Brawl aficionado and I have a couple friends who regularly ask me how in the hell to get through spicier Brawls. I managed to one shot Diablo with Hero Power Druid because I knew he couldn't do anything about it if I just kept punching him and his stupid imps in the face.
I disenchanted my whole collection to make one in Classic and to get diamond Ragnaros. I was enjoying this mode too much. And.... they are deleting it. Bye-bye Hearthstone
For me its another mode I cant play unless I spent a ton of money of packs from expansioms that released while I wasnt playing. I am stuck playing wild until the next standard rotation
Well maybe if other twist it would be fun or if you will be able to choose from all card even if they re not in your collection bcs od someone only play standard dis all cards from Wild he will just play standard
I like the concept but not gona waste all my dust on building decks that will be irrelevant in not time. If you dont have a wild collection you can spend a lot of money or just dont play at all😢
Sounds like it could've been cool, then they made the twist something incredibly boring, and I snoozed on out. Call me when it's something more twisty.
Woohoo a cool new game mode that no one will play cause they don’t have any of the wild cards and lord knows blizzard won’t let you use them for free (I’m actually really excited for this just shitty that it’ll probably fail)
If they're going to make a game mode to try and spice up the game, and make ranked feel different to play. They need to do something different than just add a couple extra expansions to standard. Why should I play this game mode over wild, or standard? This "twist" just seems like an awkward mix of both.
This is a short and introductory season, juat meant to convey what the new mode is all about. And since it's regularly rotating, if there's ever a format or twist that just doesn't interest you, you can just wait for the next one. Also, it's silly to suggest that not having neutrals and having 6 additional expansions added to the pool doesn't have the potential to make the meta vastly different from standard or wild. Yeah, the core gameplay won't be different, but honestly that's actually what interests me most about it - Wild and Standard have been the same exact formats since Wild's inception, just with new sets rotating in. This is the first time they've gone back and added older, no-longer-in-standard sets to "normal Hearthstone".
This actually seems pretty cool, especially for people who dont disenchant or actively play wild.
As someone who stopped disenchanting wild cards after ashes of outlands, YES.
Damn, that's incredibly lucky for you
yoooo exactly what i wanted, I wanted a long-term version of tavern brawl where they do weird things to the game
Rarrans head thru the video: ⬅️➡️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️
Right? It's kinda jarring
Rarran be roleplaying as the Konami code
Rarran, why are you slithering around like a snake hunting for food ?!? 😂

exactly

@@stfu-pi-ddk1ddo891 not a problem for me, i mean…then i guess there is no reason for me coming back to the game as well 🤷♂️
Its like Magics Pioneer format which is super fun. Id give it a shot if I had more spare time
I think this is great, this can serve to give us a chance to relive previous metas too (such as ungoro or BlackRock mountain) other than just classic
Just a new way for Blizzard to try to stop people from disenchanting old cards, therefor pushing more pack sales, while at the same time punishing players who do have to DE old cards to keep up. Worked out great for Duels, a game mode almost nobody plays these days.
I think it's pointless unless they give you the cards from those formats. A lot of players will dust all the shit that is in wild format.
This seems really fun. The exact kind of game mode that could spark my interest in Hearthstone again
My primary argument in favor of a mode like this when it was getting theorized by so many people for years now, is that it shouldn't be too hard to maintain and update, a tweak in the rules here and there, rotations that should be as simple as turning some off and some on. I’ve been wanting this for years so I’m glad I can finally try it once and then never again
Ah yes, Hearthstone Modern/Pioneer. I'd love to see Wild Pauper (all commons) be a future twist format, since I think it could actually be a pretty interesting experience to try out, especially with such a low bar for entry.

Druid questline . . .
But hopefully future twists won't have broken decks
Why is rarran shaking his head like a snake tho 😂
I think it's a cool idea but I will not play it since I barely have the cards for standard
I have been thinking for a long time about a playmode like this. In my mind, it was "It's like wild because all cards are "available", but every 2-4 weeks, Blizzard rotates which sets are part legal for the mode". Just adding some regularly scheduled semi-freshness
Yes hopefully hsreplay doesn't ruin this
Haha. Pure Paladin goes brrr
It would be cool if blizzard gave you the cards from these sets but I’m not going to hold my breath for that one
So the twist could be: “Each minion has rush” or “Tokens you make are doubled” or maybe “Minions with 1 attack have poisonous”? That can be interesting twists
I predict "New Era" is going to be a month of Pure Paladin domination
As a Magic player i called it alchemy but yeah it's cool that hearstone make 'new' mode !
Bruh i feel like they finally fixed wild 😂. I was just talking last week where they can do this to fix wild. They literally turned it into a new gamemode.
can't wait for other modes to suffer while hearthstone try to babysit this carcrash into existance
I saw many complaining they disenchant their collection for standard mode, so stick to standard then as it's your game plan.
Hmmm as a F2P player who kept disenchanting old sets I will have to pass
I play a lot of Classic so pretty bummed they're getting rid of that format for this. Don't see why they couldn't just keep it and add this.
Its basically pioneer in magic
I think we've finally found the mode where I'm going to be able to consistently get Legend 😂 I'm basically a Brawl aficionado and I have a couple friends who regularly ask me how in the hell to get through spicier Brawls. I managed to one shot Diablo with Hero Power Druid because I knew he couldn't do anything about it if I just kept punching him and his stupid imps in the face.
so, basically, middle road between wild and standard. Idk, I guess it's allright
I disenchanted my whole collection to make one in Classic and to get diamond Ragnaros. I was enjoying this mode too much. And.... they are deleting it. Bye-bye Hearthstone
Never disenchant any cards, even Millhouse
i haven't disenchanted since standard came out let's go
This sounds fun as hell
A new game mode that spices up but doesn't replace wild is all upside. I'll definitely try it out
Honestly if you are gonna make wild cards cost the same as standar hard pass not gonna open the game for it, barally play nowadays anyways
I'm still waiting for a dungeon
Me, who only plays Wild.
For me its another mode I cant play unless I spent a ton of money of packs from expansioms that released while I wasnt playing. I am stuck playing wild until the next standard rotation
Definitely will try it. It will be so refreshing. 🎉
However my solution to get rid of the rage quits and frustration would have been better 😂
As someone who owns most of the collection i see this as wild 2.0
Well maybe if other twist it would be fun or if you will be able to choose from all card even if they re not in your collection bcs od someone only play standard dis all cards from Wild he will just play standard
I like it. It feels like I might be rewarded for not disenchanting my useless cards in Wild now
As someone who plays only standard idk how to feel about that 😬
i dusted every card that is not in standard anyways so no extra game modes for me :D
Neutral cards can be all eras?
sounds like a great way to make more money
I think it will be an awful experience after two weeks, as usual
If it doesn't mean deck building brawls let you use all the cards I'm not interested.
it better not be ruined by dumb turn 5 OTK's
If Blizzard is careful and their choices don't create weird un-fun metas (think the Amalgam Tavern Brawl)
Pure paladin will dominate
Nice
Omg finally! Anything to keep all the mindless decks from hsreplay
Duels still in beta, they can barely get the balancing right on old modes, but sure let's tackle this new one lmao
very cool or, at the very least, better than nothing
Luckily i do play wild
Heyyyy Modern for HS
So basically, no change since AOO was the start of the extreme powercreep they did for no reason?
i think i wanna know if you're taken
I think its cool but they will delete classic format cuz of that....which sucks as an old school player :(
So this is, in its current state... is just a more restricted wild (or more open standard I guess)
That's what Hearthstone really needs, the depth of cardpool has plenty of potential to dig in
I like the concept but not gona waste all my dust on building decks that will be irrelevant in not time. If you dont have a wild collection you can spend a lot of money or just dont play at all😢
Huh?!
Huge Potential
But Like Tavern Mode
There will be seasons No one will Like
They want us to have all the cards and spend Money every month 🐍
Just don’t disenchant cards
Is this pioneer?
I think people will come in and play the shit out of it. It’ll be dead within a week or two.
Sounds like it could've been cool, then they made the twist something incredibly boring, and I snoozed on out. Call me when it's something more twisty.
Sei lá mano, propaganda de cassino é tão ruim quanto propaganda de bebida alcoólica (Que o Flow faz, por exemplo). E geral caga pra isso
Woohoo a cool new game mode that no one will play cause they don’t have any of the wild cards and lord knows blizzard won’t let you use them for free (I’m actually really excited for this just shitty that it’ll probably fail)

I think that this is awesome but should've happened years ago.
Worse version of duels.
This is a joke right?
Great!!
