I tried this after watching the livestream, and out of the 20ish games i played, i only found 2-3 bots. Either i got super unlucky or so many people started actually playing Classic trying to farm bots that all bots were just lost in the process
Same, startet to play classic and im not sure if i got a single bot, maybe its region specific

My best was 55 wins in a row. The Day Demon hunter released, in Wild Ladder. Shit was insane.

I'm so glad you're highlighting this. I came back to hearthstone specifically to play classic, and found it unplayably boring because of all bots.
back 12 days ago when zeddy messaged you about the reddit post , with classic . I also started the climb on EU server and from silver 10 had a 65 win streak (control warrior) and encountered only 10 players during silver-legend

How is this even possible?. I was botting for 2 weeks during goblins vs gnomes and i was quickly banned for 6months. And it was in 2014? One would say blizz will have more officient anti-bot system since then.
I actually just helped a friend get all the free stuff when they wanted to return to Hearthstone and he got so many things it's insane! I showed him how to find the core decks and he loved the free Death Knight decks. I told him that over time we can upgrade the decks or he can make his own but for learning the game he now has decent decks to work with.
I tried out Classic last month for the first time and went undefeated to Legend using Face Hunter. I feel like an idiot for not realizing sooner that it's basically an easy way to quickly get the Legend rewards every month.
I remember when Hearthstone’s bots used midrange shaman, an actual deck, instead of whatever these bots are running.
Hilarious to me that I went 70-0 yesterday to get Legend over and done with in the game mode and then see this recommended to me.
bots names are usually nvck, dsfndv something like that and plays death knight or mage for sure idk why

I tried this last month, mostly using Control Warrior, but occasionally switched to Handlock or Control Paladin. Alltogether, I went 89-9. All of my loses were against real players (1 Control Warrior, 1 Combo Druid, and the rest were Zoolock). At least 90% of my opponents were bots, even the final boss into Legend was a bot.
Honestly, this situation is ironic to me. Classic was a desired gamemode for eveyone, and yet when it was added, barely anyone touched it and soon moved on to something else. It's stuff like this is what makes me think back to the "You think you do, but you don't" quote and wonder maybe if they were right.
remove the bots and allow queueing to be less strict in matching close ranks and I don't see how the game mode doesn't have an active player base. I'd play classic frequently if I knew I didn't have to face 10 bots to every 1 real player
Yeah, you need to mindlessly play through the bots to legend before you can face real players. That being said, the games at legend are super fun and reminiscent of the days before endless power creep
I play on asian server, not a single bot found in the 20ish game i played
I've been playing twist lately, not much botting issues for me until today. I've only encountered stalling bots allllll day

I tried the Classic games I played 12 games in bronze. I just wanted to take the legend card back but in all of the games I was facing with real persons I don’t get the idea but for the people that wandering I was playing in Europe maybe in America you can climb easily against bot who knows 🤨

Tried on EU, 22-24 Feb climbed from bronze 10 with 3 star bonus to legend
From experience, there are still shit ton of bots
Hardest journeys were definitely diamond 5-1 (because there were some actually people there), and, surprisingly, in bronze, because I think I didn't meet a single bot in bronze
There are quite a few bots in standard too. Mainly in bronze and silver tiers from what I found, they usually have a randomized name that is not coherent and play the exact same cards. It's really dumb.

I think we have to believe at this point that companies like Blizzard and Behavior (which I just name cuz I also play DBD) are either conveniently ignoring the bots or actually supplementing them so their lesser played modes aren't completely dead. At least you could fool some people into thinking there's people playing if they are newer and unfamiliar with what bot play looks like.
I tried it on Europe. First 5-10 games i got players with normal names playing the decks you would expect. After that it was like 90 % bots. still found another druid/control warrior from time to time. I think the bots had higher mmr so it didn't queue me against them from the start since they are too strong.
I feel like on EU there are almost no bots at all, but I also just played like 5 games in classic, it's so boring
There's definitely bots on EU too. I did this exact thing Rarran did like 3 weeks ago, all the way from like bronze 7 to legend was only bots.
I think the release of this video has probably changed that a bit, a lot of people are now going onto classic and trying to get the easy climb. Give it a week or two and i guarantee you'll find mostly bots.
On low bronze and in legend itself is where you'll run most into real people

its because this post happened many people flocked to farm legend for rewards its back to bot farm now. got to legend in 3 days from bronze every 12-13th opponent was real

Considering I've had to queue for over 10 minutes to get a match in Classic mode, I actually wouldn't mind seeing a bunch bots in that mode. At least it's something to play against.

Buy packs with gold, climb up the ladder to get end of season packs
If you complete the apprentice ranks (new players have to go through 40 ranks to get to standard where there’s bronze, silver, gold, etc) you get a free “meta” deck and you can climb with that. Try to save gold for mini sets so you can disenchant and craft decks

Next stream you should race a pro to legend, but one is playing classic against bots and the other climbs standard/wild.

Could be due to his awful MMR from doing the wild challenges. If he barely played classic he probably got initially seeded to the pits of MMR hell. So deep that nothing besides bots could realistically get there (or hundreds of hours of ff'ing with meme decks).
Since the rank climb is based on # of wins/losses, you can get to legend and still have a crap MMR. The game will match you with similar opponents (both rank AND MMR) if it can find them.
Normally the bots' MMR is so low that they essentially form their own shadow ladder. They lose to actual players, drop to miniscule MMR, and then battle it out with other bots where some get enough stars to make it legend. Since MMR gains are based on your opponent's MMR, these wins do not make them climb back up (aka Elo Hell). I'd imagine the game probably refuses to match a bronze rank player with a legend rank bot even if they have the same MMR.
As such, bots and human players mostly remain isolated but Rarran seemingly managed to fall right through to the underbelly. Games that have a cosmetic 'rank' that is not directly coupled to the factual MMR tend to develop this problem.

So day 2 of my test of this theory. I've only encountered 1 "human" player. What the what?
Most decks are Warlock, Shaman or Hunter. The rare mage or rogue. And from what I can tell they all play same pattern or zoo-like deck. I've lost a few only due to RNG but otherwise... I've moved from Bronze 10 to Gold 2 from just a couple of hours of play. Insane.

Curiously, this is most often the death of these card games. Classic mode becomes unbearable/boring and then less and less people play it, making the bots (of which there were a good balance of before) more apparent. This feeds into itself, breaking classic entirely. Add onto that the fact that blizzard has yet to update their AI, this game will likely never see classic again unless a miracle happens.
Honest question: Why are there so many bots? Are people paying for bots to get them a Legend card back? Other than that, what is the point???

Literally played like 20 games of classic and I've never seen a single bot like that. Is it something in NA only or am I just lucky?

I play classic because i enjoy it and fomr my expiciance they are a LOT and its easy i can see it when the game starts if they haev a fk up name like u smsh the keyoard with your fist 1-3 times thats the name = 99% bot. And for Numbers (i dont counted but) i played 2 Humans and like 30 bots or so
Also all bots only use the core set of cards so even cards like knife juggler arent in those decks and they have all a very agressiv curve and all of those decks (obv) sux.
They play like all classes i even saw a "aggro" preist bot

things are alot different when you include RNG at higher tiers.... this rarran guy just starts a new account with NO rng or achievements gained. the story is WAY different when you include RNG in later tiers (rng = random number generator) due to achievements... hope im wrong, should do a video on thow to accomplish ALL available achiements... there is a challenge i hope rarran decides to do.
