Good video, showing the all-important first "boughs" cut at the top of the tree. Great hint about avoiding kickback while cutting the "boughs".
Thanks for watching Tom!!
Great video. I’m using a Stihl Msa200 battery chainsaw and really like the power and so much less noise than petrol, so great for indoors or not upsetting the neighbours.
Chad, your New Year''s tree are most beautiful from all carvers!!! It's true! Very beautiful!!! Thanks for this tutorial and other one!! After your tutorials I try to do the same!!!
Thank you very much!!!!
Thanks for the shout out. Keep em coming, loving learning from ya.
Thanks for watching the video Cy!!
Thanks for that. I have a Dewalt 16" and it works well. Great for inside, no fumes. Want to get a carving bar on it next. Use gas Husky for big cuts. And a Grinder with a Lancelot wheel and die grinder to finish.
Is nice not to have the gas fumes for a change! Thanks for watching the video!
Thanks for the review. I bought this model of saw recently... Great! Hello from Ukraine and Merry Christmas! 😀
Merry Christmas too you also!
Awesome as always. New chainsaw worked great!!
Thanks for watching Beth!!
Nice vid.... through my line of work I was able to pick up the dewalt 12” and the 16” at a smoking good deal earlier this year.I was a little skeptical at first but after using them both I was sold !! One for around the yard and one for around the cabin.
A must for people like me that need a chainsaw for a couple hours a year. No storing fuel and the batteries of course fit all my drills and other cordless tools👍
That's awesome!
Thanks for the review of the battery powered saw Chad! I've been wanting one for yard work around the house. Your review has given me the confidence to go buy that $300 Stihl I been drooling over.
Great carving as always!
Thanks for watching the video!!!
.. get the Stihl msa 120 c.. that's the one.. my buddy has one now after owning 3 husqvarna 536li xp which is the best electric husky he converted all 3 to 1/4.. but he likes the Stihl 120 c better because it lighter an half the price also balance has a lot to do with it...
You never disappoint! Always a gooday, when Chad is carving, Happy Tuesday! Thank you!
Thank Gypsyrose!!!
Chad 👍
Thanks David!
Josh liked seeing the review, I'm sure he will need one of these now. Nice carving 💜
I think Josh needs one too. lol. Thanks for watching Tracy!
@@Chainsawchad you're probably right, he cuts alot on our property and a small saw might be good. I forgot to say we love our tshirts they arrived so quick! Thanks for the great videos.
I am glad you like your T-shirts. Thank you for the order!!
Love the tree.
Thanks Mom!
Chad , this turned out great looking Christmas tree👌👌. Thank you
Thank you Mahendra, and thanks for watching the video!
Chad, I've been waiting on the battery husky review! Thanks, now I know that I won't be disappointed for trimming the property... If you want oak trees, look me up in northwest Ohio!!! Thanks once again!
Thanks for watching Mike!
👌👍👍👍
😀👍
Hey Chad, I like the tree, and your saw.
I have not tried a Stihl or a Husky battery saw yet, but I do have a Black n Decker 20v that luckily I can swap out and use my Porter Cable batteries. I basically only use mine in my shop to shorten pieces of wood that are to long to go in my wood burner. Lol
I wouldn’t even recommend this B&D saw, but maybe that Husky bcuz it seemed to be getting it done. Also that buttery pack yours has is huge, but on that note, Husky or Stihl saw are real Saw’s, not the one I have. It was a gift, so I use it.😉
Some times the cheeper tools work just as good! Thanks for watching the video Eric!!
Is there lots of wood dust in your garage when you carve this way? Like ceiling walls, etc. See lots of chips on the ground.
😂lol!
Wow great review 👍
Thanks for watching the video!!
Any other models out there where you can use a carving bar, which can also be used with a gas chain saw? Corded chain saw would be fine also.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you also!!
Glad to see that you like the battery operated chainsaw. I have one that I use on the property that I live on though I've never tried carving with it. Do you think you will use it only on your smaller projects? Keep on carving!!
I will probably use it for shaping and shaving Dow larger carving.
Thanks Chad, live the tree and that saw looks perfect for what I need to accomplish on the farm. My question is, are the sweatshirts in?
Hi Trish, thanks for watching the video. Right now l only have T-shirts, if your interested go to chainsawchad.com or message me. Thanks!!
How many volts is it? I took an 80volt snapper saw with an 18 inch bar in on trade for a carving. I also own a 40v saw from harborfrieght. I love the 40v saw it is light weight and has good power. The 80v snapper is a beast but is very heavy. I enjoy your work.. thanks for posting vids.
The battery is a 36 volt. An 80 volt, that must be a beast!! Thanks for watching the video!
@@Chainsawchad it is a beast.. it's a pretty big saw.
Thinking about buying a chainsaw and try same carving any suggestions. The battery version looks good... Happy New.
I am a Husqvarna person, so I would suggest anything made by Husqvarna.
Thanks for the info
..my buddy is a professional chainsaw carver and his has 3 of same the best husky electric chainsaws the 536li xp.. but he likes the new stihl electric chainsaw msa 120 c that he bought a year ago more because its lighter... I am also a chainsaw carver and my next saw will be the Stihl msa 120 c.. and it comes with the 1/4 chain so all you have to do is put a carving tip bar on it if you want...
Thanks for watching the video Norm!
@@Chainsawchad ..also on all 3 of his husqvarna 536li xp he has changed the sprocket to 1/4 with carvings tip bars but he still likes the Stihl 120 c better.. the 120 c it not as powerful but it's lighter.. also another friend of mine that is a professional chainsaw carver has a 536li xp converted to 1/4 with a carving tip bar and neither of these gentlemen have ever met.. so I am positive that the 536li xp is the best Husky electric chainsaw.. the 536li xp is very pricey but the Stihl 120 c is less than half the price of the 536li xp...
@@Chainsawchad ..the other huge factor in this is the balance of the chainsaws and most of the electric chainsaws are terribly balanced.. the husqvarna 536li xp is well balanced but heavier than the Stihl msa 120 c.. the msa 120 c is very well balanced...
I think the 536li xp will be my next saw. I would mainly use it in my workshop during the winter. Thanks for the info!
@@Chainsawchad ..he uses the 536li xp indoors but also year round.. he has had his three 536li xp's for years and says the batteries are still going strong after years of daily use but he has also told me that his go to saw is now the msa 120 c because it is lighter weight.. I do like that the 536li xp is variable speed but it is heavier.. I know that you are a husqvarna guy but don't look pass the msa 120 c it is half the price of the 536li xp and the 120 c comes with a 1/4 chain and sprocket.. I will send you his info in Instagram.. his name is Jim Haggart..
Nice tree, do you ship your tee's to Canada whats the shipping cost. Thanks
Can l get a carving bar ,1/4" pitch dime bar for a Husqvarna 120i ???
No, the sprocket on the 120i has a square edged fitting so you can't replace the sprocket for a 1/4 " chain.
Oh, that's too bad. Thanks so much for the reply!
