Thanks for the review. I almost ordered one of these today. You have given me some things to think about.
I have one... they are very sensitive to a tree being the same diameter up to the height you want to be at. They tend to fold back up if the diameter reduces by even 4" ..no matter how much you tilt it to start. They are comfortable. They are light. But consider the tree size you intend to hunt.
Try sittng on the front bar of the top piece then bring your bottom up it will be easier and much quieter.... using the swing arms on the top does not look correct to me use the straight horizontal bar...
I think the best climbing deer stand ever made was the tree lounge, rock solid and fairly quiet to use. It was on the heavier side but well worth the effort. Sad, they went out of business, and no one has replicated the technology they used. I sold mine and regret doing it every season that goes by.
Still have mine with the wheels...they are the sturdiest stand to hunt, the top is wedged good on the tree and will not move or slip... from just dont like the bottom piece,...
I think if they would have made the cables just a lil thicker it would go up the tree a lil easier but I got mine at rualking for 35$ so can't beat that
I bought that piece of crap last year and had a heck of a time getting that cable on the bottom portion to go up the tree, it kept getting stuck in the tree bark on a white oak. Not bad once you are up, but you also can't put pressure on those side arms as you go up. One of the worst purchases i ever made even though i really wanted to like it. I switched to Beast sticks and an old original 9 lb Lone Wolf Assault and i can get into much better trees and be well hidden, just not as convenient as a climber.
That’s a fact! It certainly takes some practice!
That joker is NOISY!! I keep a Cinch strap in my backpack. If I put my summit on a loose bark tree you can cinch the top down to the bottom and it’ll lock the top down hardcore where it doesn’t move at all whatsoever as long as you have weight on the bottom!
I use third hand archery safety straps on all my summits to do what you are saying. They make a footrest that is awesome for long sits also. You can stretch your legs out and fall asleep if you wanted to…👍
@@johnbowhunter7676 if I’m planning to sit all day I’ll tie my bow rope where there’s two hanging loops in the front. Put the heel of my boot in the loop and boom I’m in a lazy boy 🤣
I have one and it's hard to climb any size tree. The fold down arms squeeze the tree and won't let the cable slide
I'm glad I'm not the only person with this problem!! I hate this damn stand
Has the same weight as my Viper but doesn't have near the comfort.
Por favor você tem uma cadeira desta usada a venda para o Brasil e para mim obrigado parabéns aos seus videos
Looks like your bottom cable is on upside down. The cable looks to have that naturally droop down when you turn it around it will curve up and that makes or breaks the stand. Everybody is throwing in the towel because of that bottom cable and I almost did the same thing last year until I realized it was on backwards. Once I turned it around I had no more problems
Excellent products …
I always put the bottom on the tree first. Just seems easier....
I stay with my ultralight saddle.
Yeah, that rattle is noticeable.
Nice and quiet🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣every deer within 5 miles would hear all that commotion!
Just bought one, first climb tonight waste of money and not enough R&D went into cable design that bottom section sucks!!! Cables are to flimsy and won’t climb tree for shit.
Good review...bad stand.......
What tree climber would you recommend for a lady?
The summit open shot or summit viper if this is your first climber
@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors thank you!
One more question lol ... Its not my first climber but I am a smaller person and having a hard time finding one to fit me better... I prefer to sit when climbing would u prefer a different one than those knowing that?
I would hold onto my money until October if I were you xop is dropping a new sit and climb then … light weight and has a place to sit. If you’re wanting something now I believe the summit viper is your best bet
I'll stick with my summit
push the netting to your butt side sit on the net lift your feet stand up sit your butt on the seat lift your feet up that's how I do it much easier
Get a ol man grand slam cts and you won't look back
That climber looks like a bunch of hassles.
It’s something that’s for sure
I stopped watching early on.
When pieces started falling lol.
You do realize it's a sit and climb right?
Yup
The worse STAND I HAVE EVER USED!! A WSSTE OF MONEY.
I will never buy HAWK crap again...
Hard pass, that’s the size tree I look for
Terrible stand. Do not waste your money
Too late 😢
TOO MUCH NOISE
