    These tutorials are amazingly helpful, and your method of presentation is fantastic.
    In the case of the "management of the vertex groups"... you could simply create the groups _after_ setting up all your base geometry. But by showing it this way, you gave us a perfect example of what could happen, what the problems would be, and how to solve them.

    I like this method way more than the first one, because I like the non-destructive and more controllable approach better. Also I’d like to thank you for these amazing tutorials, you do them step by step which makes it pretty easy to follow !! Good job 🥳

      Yeah, that's sort of the challenge sometimes, trying to figure out the best method for a given model.

    I love these tutorials. I'm a hard surface guy who has used Maya for years and I've been forcing myself to learn Blender, its a slow process for an ole dog but these tutorials are invigorating! I just wanna dig in! Thank you!

    i tried to work with bevels and a subdiuv modifier but when it comes to UV unwrapping it just result in stretched Uvs

    Why do you deselect that left edge when you extrude the face?

    too bad the bevel modifier cannot read edge groups - the vertext group has too many issues.

    Is there no way to lock the vertex groups so no extra vertex get assigned with knife tool? Seems like something that should be an option if there isn't.

      Not that I know of, but I agree the existing vert groups should be protected.
