Thank you King we still gone watch in full....
I met A.I. in a spot in Cleveland back in the day. It was like 2 in the morning, I walked up on him, introduced myself, told him I was a fan, then I went and sat down. 10 minutes later, waitress brings me a brew and a double of Hennessey. I was like I didn't order this, she said it's on Mr. Iverson. Later that day he gave the Cavs 40💯💯💯 LOVE THAT DUDE STRAIGHT UP✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾💯💯💯❤❤❤
That's pretty dope. What was his initial reaction when you told him you was a fan?
@@kyledickson8408 we dapped up, hugged and he said "Good lookin"
That’s Some real shit
He seems like a genuine dude
bruh that's so cool lmfao AI the realest in the NBA of all time imo
“You disrespecting God if you think your life ain’t worth sh*t” So true
I don’t even think he realized how powerful what he just said was like he was just talking in passing but that’s an amazing perspective
goosebumps
Wow that is so true
That shit hit me bro.
The sad thing is I’ve felt my life ain’t shit at times but what AI said gave me a new perspective. My favorite player has also become a great person to me.
I feel like AI has been through some serious darkness in his life before and after basketball. His eyes tell many stories. Be grateful for this man for what he did for basketball and sports. He's a genuine and empathetic human being.
I watched his Documentary cried like a baby how he was done.
That's probably why he somewhat stutters when he talks. It's like he's trying to find the right words for a message that he wants to be meaningful when he speaks it
Well said 💯
He’s done prison time and is really from the streets.
On God..thas my role model
AI is a real brother, you can hear it in his voice. He understands how fortunate he is to be in the position he is in. Keep pushing. He may not see my post but AI you a real brother.
This is how many blessings AI will receive
👇🏾
You cant count how many blessings a person receives on a daily basis
Lemme just write it 3,000,000
"We all should be fortunate that Allen Iverson wasn't 6'5" - Kobe "Bean" Bryant
I say the same about Nate Robinson, to a lesser degree. A.I. woulda definitely been on Mt. Rushmore, but I say Nate(with size) would’ve been a superstar.
Henry 6ryan he’s not on mine PERSONALLY. Won’t argue against it if you got him there. I say he is pound for pound the best ever tho. There’s a few guys I’d take before him in an all-time draft.
Was this in his interview on here?
I remember when he said that. RIP KOBE
Just imagine A.I. matching toe to toe on low post against Kobe
This is the hardest interview I've ever seen, AI is a cold-blooded killer on the court but outside, an even better gentleman. Thank you Matt and Stephen for this, much respect!!!
There is nobody like AI. Period. This is OUR champion. Nothing like him before, nothing like him since. Stak is right - he means more to us all than he will ever know. I wish nothing but love, happiness, success and fulfilment for him and his family forever. The realest ever.
Facts, he is the Rocky Balboa of the NBA. Peoples Champion 🏆
Pound for pound GOAT

I've bumped into A.I on a shopping mall in Turkey when I was 25 and run up to him starstruck shaking with a cold sweat. Told him he means the world to me and dude straight up hugged me right next to his wife and kid on the stroller.
I couldnt believe how humble and soft hearted a KILLER can be.
I'll love you till the end of life Chuck!
Man.. thanks for sharing that story😊✊
I saw him play twice and shook his hand once when I was kid. Now fast fwd I saw him at the tit bar just standing at the door waiting to go in I ain't know what to say but we kicked it for a min and he sent a bottle over to me
Yea he’s really humble and cool in person. Back then it was a little different but he really embraces all the love he gets today
That's a great story, Man.

AI never gets the credit that he deserves simply for not winning a championship. He possibly the best point guard EVER! What an amazing human being.
You shouldn't get as much credit if u didn't win though lol. And the best point guard of all time was Magix Johnson, stop getting caught up in the moment
@@alexgalarza6908 i respect ur viewpoint but i dissagree. Magic is only considered the best cuz we won championships. AI at one point Nd time had the 2nd best playoff point average of all time. MJ being the first at that time. Now other ppl have since beat that, making AI i think 6th or 7th. But stats wise, AI beats magic in certain categories with no help. Magic had help. Ai had more points per average over his career. With only 8 more games played. Yes Magic hsd better stats in assists fg percentage and other statd. Ai only led in points. But ai had no help. Magic did so he could pass more. Apples to oranges tbh
Allen Iverson was a shooting guard. So he was known for his scoring not his facilitating. And I’d say he’s in top 3 for sg maybe top 5.
1.MJ
2.Kobe
3.prob D Wade if I’m being honest
4 AI
He wasn't a point guard, just a small shooting guard. Or if you want to call him a point guard, he was one of the worst ever. 6 assists per game

This dude right here did it his way he was true to his fans & people who weren't AI fans or fans of the sport in which he played or just people in general because he was 1st & foremost true to himself he never pretended to be someone or something he wasn't he knew that the best way to walk through life was to walk in the best version of himself @ all times & for that I admire, respect & love about that brother.

Ishmael Moh He is a known alcoholic. He actually sound drunk during this interview. No disrespect intended.
@@ishmaelm1932 It's not alcohol that's making him emotional, Iverson has always worn his heart on his sleeve and is an emotional person amongst those that he has real love for. 💯
A tad cliche
man, if you think that's super powerful, you need to read up a little bit.. shiiit
@Big Slices you're right.. i always forget how most ppl are shallow and simple..
@@jwst8 it’s moreso who that “simple” phrase came from. Iverson was the man that allowed many young black men to feel okay with being unapologetically self expressive in multiple ways coming up. He took the brunt of most of the criticism, profiling, and hate right in front of us- stood up and still wreaked havoc on the league with high level play. Then outside of “race” he paved a way for smaller guards or smaller players to be dominant in general.
So yes, “What’s wrong with being you?” means everything coming from someone who had to answer this question to himself every-time someone publicly tried to change him at each step.
Weirdo.

Stephen had me when he said to AI that we can't lose him and we already lost KB24. That hit hard and I don't know how to act if we lose another cultural icon.
The "Answer" is the best nickname ever.
But he ain't got the answers though

probably 3 of the most intelligent men i've had the pleasure of hearing a conversation for, matt barnes is insanely perceptive not just on basketball but even social issues and describing the challenges so many different people workforces endure.
AI talks with all his heart! That's a true legend!
Damn Matt Barnes played with everybody lmao
He did 😂
The Kevin bacon of basketball
@@bikescarsandeverythinginbe7309 🤣🤣🤣👍🏾
At least he played!😀
Well he was selected 2nd round in 2002, sent straight to G League... and from that point he changed teams 13 times (THIRTEEN TIMES)... lets just say he wasnt exactly any franchises' centerpiece LMAO if you ever played MyGM or MyLeague or whatever in 2k, he the type of a plsyer you add to a trade to add value to it so you can get that desired guy or draft pick youre aiming for 😀
Matt “talk to us about” Barnes

Thank you to Matt & STAX's for an awesome podcast. Y'all the real MVP's 💪🏾
This was a great interview. I will always have love for AI. I came up in the Jordan era, but I seriously respect a dude maybe 5’10” 160 lbs who went to the hole like he was 6’8” 250 lbs night in and night out. Matt and Jacks are great interviewers. I just found this podcast, but I am now a fan.
They interviews be so genuine, like they don’t even know it’s a camera and that’s why it’s the #1 podcast out rn
