of all 30 official averages Yiheng has done in 2023, only ONE average has NOT been sub-6. he is the most consistent cuber at the top level, showing that he has nerves of steel under competition pressure that set him apart even from Tymon and Max in terms of consistency. he has creative solutions, tps, the best algorithms. and he’s only 9 years old. he will dominate cubing for however much longer he chooses to.
First ever counting 3, no one would think it was possible in 2018
I also thought his 4.69 average was crazy, but seeing that he got sub 4.5 with the first ever counting 3 is INSANE

Can you please explain what counting 3 means?
@@wabezgastrik9383basically, how an average of 5 works, is that you take out the best and worst solves, and then mean the other 3 solves. So Yiheng Wang got a 3.95 and a 3.99, now because you take out the fastest time, the 3.95 isn’t meaned, but the 3.99 IS, which means the 3.99 is in the mean of 3, which makes it counting in the average.
Imagine if Yiheng gets the single WR in like 3 months
idk about WR single but I wouldn't be surprised if he got WR2 as soon as tomorrow (provided there's a suitable comp)

He has two sub 4s in a row in this average. It's not so hard to believe he can throw in a low 3 every now and then. I bet if he attends 20 competitions with three rounds each, that's 3x20x5 = 300 solves, he will break the single WR

Yiheng is definitely the future of cubing, a counting 3 is crazy to think about but he has done it.

The v-perm in the 2nd solve was shown by j-perm in his pll video, and it flows really well and less riskier than most other v-perms.
I love how yiheng was confused when he got another 4.72

2:44 Uw (R U'R) D' would've been optimal since it creates a free pair and orients edges for the last pair (which isn't that bad of a case). This shows he still has a long way to go and the times he could achieve if his efficiency catches up to his turning and lookahead.
Not to mention the cross was very bad, if he had done (U D) L D' F' it would've been a shorter solution + a free pair

That 3.99 could have been insane as that’s a very easy zbll all you have to do is take out the back right pair do a Jperm and reinsert the back pair.
