[UBC] University Emergency Vehicles With Lights & Siren!

- čas přidán 9. 03. 2022
- Captured here are various emergency vehicles from the University of British Columbia (UBC) Vancouver campus parading past UBC Hospital to show support to the healthcare workers at the frontlines of the fight against the COVID-19 virus. These parades, which took place in early 2020, were part of the daily '7 PM Cheer', in which people would cheer, clap, and make noise to encourage essential workers who continued to do their duty while the general public was in isolation. You will see several vehicles of the Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services (station 10) as well as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's university detachment, which is responsible for policing the huge UBC campus.
Thank you to all healthcare and essential workers around the world!

Yes definitely. Every emergency vehicle fans dream haha
Great video! The horn really gets you 😂
Thanks! Yep, EVERY SINGLE TIME!! 🤬😤🤣
Good stuff Timbo! Lovely shots of Tower 10 and the (at the time) new RCMP Explorer with all the Crown Vics!
Considering the crap we've put our healthcare workers through, and continue to put them through, i think it'd be nice if there could be more displays of appreciation like this every once in a while :)
Thank you Jimbo! I could not agree more 🙌🏼☺️
It’s nice to see that the RCMP still uses crown vics 🤗
They’ve definitely gotten quite rare, but it’s not impossible to catch them.
Catch them ..???????!!!!!
Awesome catches mate! So awesome to see emergency services paying tribute to their brothers and sisters in scrubs 😊

Great video! also seeing the crown vic still amazes me :)
Thank you!! Yea it’s very rare these days, so I was super happy to get some Vics on video! 😁
OMG, yes!!! 🙌
Wish I was in Canada.. .
I am glad Canada still having crown Victoria
The Crown Vic is becoming very rare, so I’m happy that I was able to capture them in action! ☺️
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses I also happy to saw the crown Victoria still work for police department.. but sadly they stop making now..
Very nice tribute for the healthcare staff, they absolutely deserve the morale boost and recognition during these hard times. You also caught a very nice catch for all these emergency vehicles. I'm actually surprised to learn that the RCMP provides campus security at UBC. Is it just the hospital, or do they patrol on all UBC campuses? Every university I've been to, for example University of Toronto, have their own campus police/security with plenty of personnel, and I assume a University for something like BC would have their own campus police service.
Thank you for the comment! That’s right, RCMP is the sole police force in charge of patrolling the UBC Vancouver campus (it’s a huge area, encompassing several residential areas, commercial areas, beaches, forests etc). There is no separate university police force (no such thing exists in the province of BC, as far as I know) but they also have their own campus security department. From what I understand the UBC lands are not technically part of the city of Vancouver, so VPD does not patrol there. However, the Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services do cover it. UBC also has its own ambulance station.
UBC is located on unincorporated land that is recognized as "the ancestral unceded territory" of the Musqueam First Nations. Once upon a time, fire was provided by the university itself; at some point in the 20th century the University Endowment Lands fire brigade was disbanded and the school signed on with VFRS for fire protection. If I remember correctly, RCMP was always the law enforcement agency of choice on campus since the land is technically federal/Aboriginal territory.
@@FirePhoenixEmergencyVideos It's actually an unincorporated area. The campus land is endowed to UBC; the rest of the peninsula is administered by the University Endowment Lands, which is under the responsibility of the provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs. Because there is no municipality, the province is responsible for policing. So the RCMP does the policing as the provincial force. For big events, Richmond RCMP sometimes assists. I've even seen Burnaby RCMP helping out at Wreck Beach in the summer -- maybe an overtime program.
First 🥇
Congrats! 😁
Did you know where I live in Calgary Alberta The police Service here still use crown vics
Awesome!
Awesome Rcmp Tahoe
Very cool catch!
Happy to see some Crown Vics :)
Thank you! YES I was so glad to still catch some in action 😍

Did RCMP Ford Crown Vic still keep in existence until now ? Wow! I haven't seen Crown Vic cruise on the streets since late 2020s
Yes, several RCMP detachments still have Crown Vics in active service. They are more reliable than many of the newer police cards on the roads these days lol
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses And its iconic. You won't never see any recognizable police vehicle like Crown Vic
3:50 🤣
I can’t help but wonder what the people who were ill in hospital and trying to rest thought about all the noise every evening.
I don’t think they would have noticed it too much (or cared that much).
Golbal emerg . Don't speak for the people who had to endure the siren's. .This went on tor 4 days of this .!!! My goodness you would have thought 🤔 it was a send off for royalty..
@MauricaMcGinnis
Global was just giving his opinion don't judge him and if you read properly (unless your a 2 year old) then he said "think."
Crazy scenese
That good
Thanks!
Great video! Are you still stuck in Canada due to Covid or has it gone so far you live there full-time now?
Thanks! I already lived in Canada before COVID, this is where I’m based. I was only ‘stuck’ here in the sense that I could not travel much because of the pandemic… 😅
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses Ooooh, my mistake then. I thought you were based in Germany and was in Canada when everything broke out.
Can we send you a video we took
You’re welcome to send it to me, but I generally only upload my own videos on CZcams.
hey can you go korea again? I want to see your korea video
korea manual siren is so good
3:22 the siren model is so cool! Is it a Federal signal or WHELEN or a different model by any chance though?... 😅
I can confirm it's a whelen not sure what kind
I do believe it's a whelen sapphire with some sort if tone
@@jagjitlalli6450 RCMP uses Whelen Cencom Sapphire and Whelen Cencom Gold.
I'll be sad when Ladder 10 has to go.
Yes me too. Its time is almost up…
