Hello my beautiful UMass alumni brethren! Loved hearing this. This was my first marathon at 54 years old. My goal was sub four and I did it in 412. thought I had trained properly to get under four and got my butt kicked by that Boston course as well, so happy for you that you were able to do the race and put in your best effort, even if it wasn't exactly what you had imagined!

Congrats on the streak. I ran a streak over the winter. 10 minutes was my shortest. It was a good day to get through dark winter days.

it’s cool and all but with my job and my family responsibilities.., my streak I think is 3 days.
I would like to see what Hellah could do, if he trained like a proper runner. After watching Ben is running, and he hit a 2:24 in his first Boston, 4 minute PR, and he has only been running 4 years.
I did train like a proper runner for this one. I trained with an elite team and coach. Some people are just on another level and Ben is one of those people! Lol. But for my first time training for speed since starting my run streak I’m definitely proud!
@@HellahGood you know I mean with proper rest days, to optimize your talent.
I saw what you did in flagstaff.., love that part of the country. had a few friends attend university there. and I used to play in a rugby tournament up that way annually.. continued success. you will end the streak, when you truly feel it needs to end
@@HellahGood also you are probably right about Ben, he was always a runner, he just had to find his way to it. Now he is almost ready to eclipse being able to be in the elite corral, in a year or 2.
