The Bee Gees wrote songs for many, many other singers including their little brother .... of course they sang backup for him too!!!!! Look into their library and you will be amazed. In one day, they wrote 3 songs .... Too Much Heaven, Tragedy and Shadow Dancing in one afternoon! To me, that's quite impressive!!!! Wish I was still cruisin' in that old navy blue 1965 Mustang with my 8 Track Player and gas was .$25 a gallon! I'd go back in a heartbeat!!!

That led to huge stars requesting songs, to which Barry proposed that he would write and produce whole albums instead. They were for Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, and Kenny Rogers. All of these albums were hugely successful!!! Barry and Robin Gibb wrote the song but Samantha Sang was the lead on the song and the song featured the Bee Gees.

The Bee Gees' Robin and Barry Gibb did write this song FOR her to release first. It was a great #3 Top Billboard for Samantha. Then The Bee Gees recorded their own and it's available on YT On their Greatest Hits. Beyonce and her trio Destiny's Child did a hit cover. Look the song up on Wiki. It was a hit for them too!! @@trb2021 I was speaking of the Samantha Sang track Valencia reacted to here... Barry didn't have his brothers available, so he did all the harmony and response parts. Look it up. It is official info. Yes, that is a woman. The BeeGees wrote this song for fellow Aussie and "unknown" Samantha Sang. It was a big hit for her & a couple decades later the BeeGees sang it themselves with Barry as the lead. The brothers recorded it themselves in 2001 and released it in 2009 "The Ultimate BeeGees" greatest hits album. The Brothers Gibb always were honored to hsve other singers & groups cover their songs. Barry said more than once that his favorite cover of their songs was Al Green's cover of How Can you Mend A Broken Heart!❤❤❤ Love your reaction & I love that whispering singing also!❤❤❤

Yes, Destiny's Child did cover this song. No there was no woman singing there just the BeeGee's I am going by the record cover it showed. One version was sung by Samantha Sang, too.
