    I love your videos, I’m working all the time on improving my parcel to try making it the best wildlife destination around. I’m getting there slowly but surely

    We took a very good area and made it Great,with your plots,screening,mock scrapes,getting sun to the ground in open timber, and Habitat improvements. Mowed winter rye and remaining brassica and fall greens last week. 3 year old switch is 8" and coming on strong. Noticed this seasons frost seeded switch has started to germinate yesterday!
    Love this stuff..thanks man!

    I got 10 acers with a creek on it, is it still worth putting a water hole?

    As you know, diabetes is such an insidious disease that vigilance and management are priorities. I'm glad you're doing that and staying on top of it for your long-term health, especially your eye care.
    Question: Would you ever establish and maintain a food plot in a location that's really difficult to get to (basically no access without spooking deer) just to pull deer from remote public property to establish a pattern that directs deer to your other food plots? Or would you just expect deer to establish a pattern to your other food plots with access to stands, etc.?

    Not a criticism, I live in the hills 1900ftside hill , fingerlakes region of NYS. Winters easily -10 to -20 on a NW stiff winds. I started planting Chinese trees years ago. Then chestnut hill chestnuts. I have 24 trees. Half producing age , nieghbors with producing trees. Great for early bow.
    Now I was given a deer candy persimmon 3rd year it started producing. I have native and Meyers as well. It bothers me when told things won't grow I have many things that won't grow producing great for many, many years.
    Kiwi, persimmon, mulberry, hazelnuts, peaches etc, etc...
    Love the channel, just needed to clarify.

    In my experience water can certainly attract deer. I hunt a property with a duck pond, when we have very hot and dry years the pond dries up right down to the dirt. On years where there is no pond I see a lot less deer than years where we have the pond.

    Really glad your eye is getting better. To be honest I don't have money to put in food plots but I love learning from your videos and you've always seemed genuine in your beliefs so I'd hate to see something bad happen to you so keep up the work on keeping yourself healthy buddy.

    Another beneficial video. Great explanation of being a “herd influencer.” I have followed many of your “hints/tactics” with great success over the past 3 years, and I am ecstatic to harvest the 150 - 160 class bucks, thanks to you all. However, I must say I did harvest 184 gross buck in 2020, I’m just not sure my heart can handle it again. LOL

    I have a question. I drive by on with my golf cart a group of 5 doe bedded in a very small circle area I have set aside for bedding daily like clock work. They do not care I am there and don't even get up. Does this mean that those 5 doe are not pregnant? Don't they try to get away off on their own to drop fawns? Central Wisconsin.

      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  Před rokem +2

      It's really hard to tell with does in general...they don't care about you driving by a lot of the time anyways... pregnant or not. Mature bucks of course a different story

    • @MegaBraunie
      @MegaBraunie Před rokem +1

      @@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 so pregnant does and even if they dropped their fawns will all still bed together? I guess that was my question.

  • @courtofficermcilvaine7928

    Sir, what do you do to protect yourself from ticks, giggers and other insects from attacking you when in the field during the growing seasons? I have had Lyme Disease 3 times and now where protective barrier clothing designed just for that reason. Cris
