In the age we are living in, single hadith are presented as if they are sufficient evidence to present a ruling. Yet, the Prophet didnt say to follow his hadith, but he said to follow his SUNNAH.
Every word on Maulana Amin Safdar Okarvi on the subject of Salafism is a gem and so well explained and easy to understand. Truly his death is a great loss to the ummah.
In Majmoo E Ishtiarat Vol. 1 Page. 423 Mirza Qadiani writes that Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi Hanafi (ra) has made a fatwa of Kufr on him. :) not the ahle hadith.

im a revert, I used to be a "salafi" but decided to adopt the hanafi madhab after realising i actually wasnt following the hadiths directly but doing taqleed for numerous salafi sheikhs, so I decided to do taqleed of the hanafi madhab since this is a recognised school rather than following different salafi sheikhs who sometime conflict with each other on issues such as reciting fatiha behind imam in loud prayers etc. but im still close with my salafi muslim brothers - unity over dis-unity :)
