It feels like a duet because they are a duet, on stage and in real life. She's his wife, the mother of his children and the love of his life. She also pulled him away from being just a very successful songwriter and up onto the stage, and we all owe her a huge 'thank you' for doing it. What a voice! Country Blues at its' finest!
His version of Your Man, the song that bought him his HOUSE, is far better than Josh too.

What Chris and his wife has I want. That is special. He looks like he is singing to her because he is. That is his wife. I have a good ol lady, but we strive to be on this level. He has come a long way since they told him the Steeldrivers aren’t country enough and here he is.
I love how you point out how it's basically him singing to his wife the entire time. Everyone praises Chris, but she has such a wonderful voice and stage presence as well. She aids along the way and lets him shine when the times are right. They work so well together!
The fact also remains that she is the reason that we know Chris as a singer now. The man had/has huge stage fright and she pushed him and supported him to go beyond being a tremendous song writer.

There’s a “Tiny Desk concert series” with Chris and Morgane, and I think you would love it! They stare at each other the whole time, and are definitely one with each other
I had heard that Chris is actually an introvert and suffers from stage anxiety. He looks to to his wife to help keep him focused and calm. It works, like she is is the only one in the room.

Chris had a big argument with his label. They wanted him to do a full production video because he was very popular and had never done one. He agreed on the condition he write the song and had input on the content of the video. The result was "Fire Away". It is very much worth a watch and has an important message that is overlooked too much in today's society.
He is just amazing and even better in concert one of my favorite country singers right now and that's his wife singing with him her voice is just as amazing

Some singers that have that "it" factor don't have to worry about the performance aspect. If you get a real,genuine,from the bottom of his soul type of singer they can stand perfectly still and blow you away. His voice is a girlfriend stealing voice as I like to call it lol..easily one of the best all time of any genre

Chris Stapleton is generally better live so pick his live performances over his studio versions whenever possible. The lady singing with him is his wife, Morgane. She frequently performs with him and is an amazing singer in her own right. He didn't actually start out as a singer but limited himself to songwriting. He has written and co-written over 170 songs, among them six number-one country songs, earning him nine ASCAP Country awards, including the Vanguard Award. His songs have been recorded by some of music's biggest stars, including Adele, Brad Paisley, and Dierks Bentley. He has co-written songs with Vince Gill, Peter Frampton, Sheryl Crow, and Ed Sheeran, to name a few. He also wrote some songs for feature films, which are included on their respective soundtracks.
In 2007, Chris Stapleton started as the frontman for the bluegrass band The SteelDrivers, which is how I first learned of him. In 2010, he started a Southern Rock band called The Jompson Brothers. In 2013 he started his solo career after being signed by Mercury Nashville. He surprisingly did not become an overnight success. However, He eventually did become well-known and has been unstoppable ever since. He has received numerous awards and nominations. He is the recipient of five Grammys, seven Academy of Country Music Awards, ten Country Music Association Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, and others.
I would recommend his live performances of “Sometimes I Cry” at the Binge Lounge, his Austin City Limits performance of “I Was Wrong,” his impromptu cover of James Brown's “It's A Man's World,” his tribute performances to Prince and Aretha Franklin, any other live performance, as well as his music video "Fire Away." Be forewarned; the last one is a tear-jerker, no matter how tough you are. I would also highly recommend his performance of "Cold" at the 2021 CMA Awards.

Isn't that beautiful! He Is a huge talent that I listen to often. You check out his rendition of the National Anthem. In my opinion he at least tied Whitney Houston for the best ever. The man with the best soulful voice ever! If you also want to listen to something truly special, react to Angelina Jordan. Very old school soul, jazzy bluezy.... From, Elvis, Screamin J Hawkins, Etta James, Dina Washington, Whitney Houston, Adele and the likes. She started recording in studios when she was only 6 years old, won Norway's Got Talen at 7 years old. Today at only 16, in my opinion one of the best, most versatile female vocalists of our time.
