    I gotta pick the carbon fiber, though I think they would really shine on an original blue Bugout, giving it a similar look to the 535-3. But I've really got a thing for milled carbon fiber; it's just so beautiful and interesting to look at.

    I just did a build with the jade g10 cross fade scales. Flytanium has really stepped up their game.
    The carbon looks really nice 👍

    I have the Ti Crossfade for my Mini Bugout, takes the knife to another level. The 535-4 is the best Bugout right now for me.

    I really enjoy the feel of carbon fiber. But the Titanium still has my win for aesthetics. I have the Ti Crossfade on mine. Surprisingly I think the carbon fiber on Benchmades stock Bugout is better though!

    I just did a scale swap using the Flytanium Crossfade black G10 on my Bugout Mini Orange scale version and it looks amazing. The sating blade with the orange accents (thumb stud and barrel spacers) make an excellent contrast to the black G10. It looks super classy. I might do the same for my standard blue bugout, maybe jade g10.

  • @HisGraceHisGlory
    @HisGraceHisGlory Před 2 lety +1

    I like the scale design so much with the Flytanium Crossfade, but oh my gosh the Benchmade carbon fiber looks so much better over the Flytanium scales. It is not even close, the Benchmade CF quality really shines when you put the scales next to each other. I was going to purchase the Flytanium CF scales, but now, I am going to just go back to Benchmade's custom shop and build it out. I just wish they offered as an option right-hand only for the clip, I hate those extra screw mounts that will never get used.

    I still like the Rogue Bladeworks carve carbon fiber scales the best. Fit and finish are excellent, plus the quality of the cf is perfect. Looks like Flytanium has stepped up their game lately but ive had a set of their cf PM2 scales and while the fitment was great the quality of the cf wasn’t.

    I think the Bugout is a knife that benefits from the added weight of Ti. It feels more quality and less like you could snap it in half being so light.

    Hi Zach I just picked up the Benchmade and Flytanium titanium scales for the Benchmade Bugout and I got it all swapped out I really appreciate you taking the time on the video but now the action on it it seems really tight I’ve tried loosening the pivot to where it wasn’t even kind of engaged in the screw anymore and it’s still tight does it take a while for the blade to break in kind of like when I got it because right now it just feels super tight and doesn’t really even free swing when I pull back the axis bar. Any ideas on what I might have done wrong?

    • @zachstuff
      @zachstuff  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello Steve! It shouldn’t be tight on the action at all. Mine ended up being smoother once I installed the Flytanium scales. Sometimes the liners get off a hair and that would make the pivot and or axis lock tougher to function. Maybe loosen the screws that hold the liners in along with the pivot and see if that helps seat the liners.

    • @stevestory8483
      @stevestory8483 Před 2 lety +1

    • @silverslvr5185

      Really don't care for the G10, so I have the raindrop CF, titanium and canvas micarta for the bladeHQ 20cv and SMKW M4. While I'm happy with all the options, the canvas micarta is my favorite for the added grip, even though they are a bit flexible. The feel is fantastic.
