sorry, but Lineker cutting off Dalot mid-answer when discussing injuries, laughing while saying 'while your manager doesn't mind using excuses' was just gross and poor behaviour. It's not the asking questions that's the issue, it's the way you go about it. Lineker and Shearer were giddy at the chance to catch out Ten Hag and some United players right after they had won the FA Cup in a derby match, it comes off as petty and unprofessional.

Wining is winning. A trophy playing youth is winning. Ten Hag, whilst not perfect and has made some poor signings and made odd mid-game tactics… deserves a shot. No manager out there available would do a better job with the players mentality at Man Utd.
It’s the players who should be questioned more than Ten Hag. Isn’t it ironic that in the final game of the season, he has a first choice defence fit and he wins a trophy and beats the champions, in the traditions of Man Utd with youth and courage. There was a style in the final game. Press and counter. And we won.
Even city, when Rodri and De Bruyne don’t play, they don’t look as good or as solid. Newcastle have had a mixed squad all season and in the final weeks, they finally had a fit team and looked back to their best.

United have not been able to play Ten Hag's way because Martinez and Varane are our only fast, ball-playing centre backs! Possession football and a high line with Maguire, Evans, Casemiro and Lindelof? No wonder we struggled. Not to mention no left back. Not to mention Evans and Reguilon (for half a season) the Glazers' 'support' for Ten Hag. He wanted Kim Min Jae in the summer and he wanted a left back and a striker in January and the club failed. No money? Could that be because we're terrible at transfers and paid extortionate amounts for Anthony, Martinez, Mount, Højlund and Onana? Is that all Ten Hag's fault too? Ten Hag is about the only thing right about United, especially if you think he's partly responsible for the Mainoo and Garnacho - and the signing of Højlund. Ten Hag in.

It's not just the injuries, it's the players who have to replace them. When you have a team that wants to play a high line but the starters are injures, then have to replace them with Evans and casemiro who can't play a high line, then you get issues in team play. Look at pep he has his team, his depth to play how he wants to play, how many top flight managers have another 4 managers players in their squad and challenge for titles

It amazes me when I hear them play down the injuries or mention other clubs having injuries. There was one point this season where Manchester United didn't have a fit defender who could legally drink alcohol. How is someone meant to have a style of play or show progress when 2/3 of their players are injured. The last 3 games of the season he had most players back and beat Newcastle, Brighton and City. Sky covered a Liverpool game and said how Liverpool would struggle because TAA, Curtis Jones and Jota were injured. But United having 14 players injured is no excuse apparently. The way the media covers Manchester United differently is ridiculous

These guys have shown their agenda. At Crystal Palace they had to play Evans as the only natural CB and it was his first game back from injury. Martinez, Varane, Maguire, Lindolof, Kambwala were all injured. Luke Shaw played just approximately 5 games all season, Malacia was out all season. Amrabat came injured, Holjund came injured and got injured four separate times throughout the season which disrupted his run of 7 straight games scoring. Mainoo was injured until November, Bruno was out for two of our most humiliating performances which shows how important he is. Mount was ravaged by injuries even though I didn’t want him. Casemiro is a Brazilian over 30 years old so if you know enough about football you know that he’ll be going downhill unless he adapts to being a tactical player like Thiago Silva has done. Rashford is useless without Luke Shaw and was pretty much non existent. Martial has been out so long you think he’s on extended maternity leave. Mctonomy got injured approximately four times. They had approximately 68 injuries which is more than any other team so how do you expect them to be solid defensively. They have not had four good games together as a unit before being massively disrupted. We need to overhaul the club structure as the medical team failed drastically, their scouting and recruitment team needs to also along with their sports psychologist. If you listen to the madness that Dan Ashworth was caught up in you also wonder if INEOS is actually improving things or it’s just more of the same.

After 6 weeks of this season United had lost 4 PL games, and 2 CL games. No injury crisis then.
Then they lost 3 v 0 to city at OT, no injury crisis then either.
United were battling for 4th place in the PL by the end of September, despite 200 million being spent on players in the summer, to improve on the previous 3rd place finish.
One sunny day does not mean we had a great summer and a great plan, for the first time this season, resulting in a fantastic cup final win does not wipe out our memory of a season that saw the worst finish in PL history by United.
In the words of the song The Gambler:
"You've got to know when to hold 'em
    Know when to fold 'em
    Know when to walk away
    And know when to run"
Like a gambler on a loosing streak who wins all his money back, and some extra, against all the odds, with his last bet, that gambler should stop, take his winnings and enjoy, not keep on gambling.
I hope Ineos fires Ten Hag now.

      @@davidjones4772 Your not right.
Just 4 players were out when United lost 0 v 3 to City last October, Shaw, Casamero, Wan Basaka and Martinez.
2 of them were also missing on Saturday at Wembley.
Ten Hag spent 200 million in the summer to improve the team and he made it worse.
Varane, Mainoo, Garnacho, Anthony, Mount were all on the bench that day
Lindelof, Maguire, Dalot and Evans were in the back 4.
Amrabat, Bruno, Erikson, McTominay, Rashford in midfield and Hoijland was up front.
United were awful that day, they mustered just 3 shots on target, City had 7 and scored 3 times. That was, for the most part, the story of the season. United scored just 58 goals,1 goal less than the previous season.
However defensive Ten Hag wants to play this season his goalkeeper choice made many mistakes and United conceded 59n goals (last season with De Gea they conceded just 43 goals).
Stats do not tell the whole story, but they are helpful.
Ten Hag coaches a team that does not score enough goals. This season his goalkeeper change failed and he conceded too many goals.
Ten Hag had a great plan at Wembley. We have not seen that plan in any other game this season.
Ineos need to replace Ten Hag now.
