Thanks for the nice unboxing video! We noticed that the onboarding URL inside of the box was covered by the greeting card. The URL is also featured on the back of your UHK. Please make sure to complete the onboarding. It's worth to put the USB cable in the recess, so that your UHK won't wiggle while typing. It's one of the things that the onboarding manual will tell you about. :)
05:00 - Nope, they sell them with Kailh instead of Cherry MX, except for, Cherry MX Clear and Green. I say this because I bought it with Kailh Brown and it's WAY worse than my Cherry MX Brown keyboard, it's not even a comparison.
that's unfortunate. you never tried kailth brown before? i picked red, but never tried kailth red before. I was annoyed initially to find that it has more resistance than cherry mx red. But then i got used to it. As to brown, i've heard some actually prefer one of the clone brown over cherry mx. but i don't recall which brand it was...
@@XahLee Unfortunately, where I live, I don't really have the opportunity to try out a lot of switches. I asked around among some friends and stores so I managed to try Cherry Brown and Romer G, but no Kailh. Some people do prefer Kailh Brown, but it is very different and I don't. It is not only true that the resistance is higher, but it feels almost like a mire to tread in compared to Cherry Browns and thus the actuation point also does not feel as exact.

is the mouse layer functionality provided by the firmware or is it a software running on linux?
firmware. it's more advanced than typical OS mouse emulation provides.
