So i think it has to be also narrowed down. Plus 10 for four wheel power drums, like my car originally had, or four wheel manual drum brakes, which ive seen on so many others. Them bad boys deserve plus 20 if they got over 500 with 4 wheel manual drum brakes.

Using your criteria, my 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 scores 35 to 40 depending on the 5 point deduction for rear drum brakes. It is obvious the features which once defined a "muscle car" are now lost. I will never understand the propensity many have to take an old car and try, usually in vain, to make it a modern car. When I want a modern car, I buy a modern car. When I want a "true" muscle car...well you get my point.

In the real world, people tell me that my 1978 Trans Am is Bad Ass all the time. Freshly-rebuilt Pontiac 400 with correct modifications, adding HP and making it what it should have been to begin with. Sometimes, exceeding 500 HP is not necessary for a good cruising car like a 78 TA. 400+ HP, headers, custom exhaust, glistening black twilight paint, red decals, split exhaust tips, a thumping cam, and lots of great original attributes overall. It never gets old when I roll up to the gas pump. "Hey man, that is one bad ass ride!"

45 or 50 for my Duster I disagree with the year cut off. But I think it deserves another 20 because it is a full SCCA SPO track car on the street. Gutted with a full 25 point DOM cage, 2 Kirky seats, and Simpson belts. Lakewood, Mopar, Wilwood and a custom clutch bearing does the clutch. Wilwood and a Speedway modified rear disc kit do the brakes. 1:2 steering quickener by Howe iirc, Custom (by me) road race wet sump 11 total quarts with a 3 qt accumulator and cooler. The oil pan is so damn cool I made drawings and patterns so I can repeat it. Onboard halon system I built myself with a control valve for the option of dumping it all on the motor. An escape hatch with a quick pin release system painted and setup like an ejection handle. I built a full lower body foot box to keep the ol legs pointed straight in a wreck. I built a loose fuel dam between the rear firewall and seat so if fuel gets past the rear firewall it is trapped in the rear floor pan so it can't go under the seat and into the foot box. The fuel cell lines, pump, filter and electrics are designed to move with the cell for a large displacement wreck without tearing any of it. Fuel Safe 22 gal FIA cell. The fuel cell is in it's own cage. The rear deck lid pins are designed to shear if the cell blows up giving the gas somewhere to go except through the firewall. The fairings in the trunk are straight cardboard so they will blow out in an explosion. Custom honey comb material for all body fairings and interior panels, instrument and switch mounts. LED instrument panel indicator lights. Reset aviation circuit breakers on the instrument panel. My red flood light dimmer is from a Boeing 727. Lots of small parts are 727. 4 wheel discs with a Wilwood balance bar master cylinder mounted in the cabin. Polyurethane everywhere. Race springs and shocks. Custom adjustable sway bars. Custom adjustable large rear spoiler, and honey comb air dam with brake ducts. The whole front of the car is sealed. I get my oil cooler air from the right headlight bucket. It has an anti Porsche ram built under the rear bumper. It will cave the front end of a Porsche if it knifes under the rear before it can get to the fuel cell. But it's light because it's made from muffler pipe. The only glass is a DOT windshield and rear for aero but either can be removed in a few minutes. The doors are gutted and trimmed inside, but other wise fully functional because the SCCA requires they open. Interior trim is Cenconite aircraft wing covering cloth. It glues on, shrinks tight with an iron, weights less than a shirt, and paints like anything else. My lock when I park it is the steering wheel. I take it with me. And it's a legal driven street car. Runs on 91. 3.89s for get up and go, and an overdrive to go 160. You gotta be my size and be comfortable peeking just over the hood to drive it. The seat is LOW and raked. It weighs 3300 lb. 52/48 weight dist which aint bad for stock geometry. I'm an airplane mechanic and everything is done the way it's done on airplanes. I put every trick I ever learned into that car. I only have 20 grand in it. It's a bass ass Street Stock class stock car with a cheater motor, suspension, and brakes. No damn stereo or heater. If it rains you get wet. But it does have wipers with custom links to clear the master cylinders behind the panel. It's worth 70 points.

Ten" on front and twelves on the back. I can't remember exactly tires I purchased but the guy I bought from had put the biggest new that would fit. When I got it, they needed replacing; I bought used (long story), I attempted the first tires I picked for the rear wouldn't fit; I settled for a little smaller than the previous tires. They were about as wide as my front seats. The car had a non-funtional cowl hood from the factory with z-28 on each side. I believe the wheels were the same except the color and mine had the Corvette logos for the center caps. The car had 30th anniversary stiched in all the seats. I'm sure this might be the same on all of them but the car was fiberglass except the roof and quarter panels. The headlights were the same. I would think these cars were pretty similar. Oof - my '68 Camaro with a 2-barrel 327 and 2-speed powerglide scored a 15 after a heavy (but justified) deduction for drum brakes -( agreed that drum + 500 hp is a points adder, however! LOL) - Score of 15...Toyota Camry turf...oof again! LOL. Very much looking forward to your swap series... I am in a tragic stage of life without a '68 Camaro and I hope to change that status soon...
