Your Photographs Matter - Shot on Lumix G7

- On my photographic journey, I've gone for years wondering why I was shooting. I'd often look at the images I'd produce, and wonder if any of it really mattered. Of course, I liked them, and I enjoyed the process, but so few of my images were ever seen by anyone.
Sometimes it felt very lonely, and I wondered if I should keep going with photography. Then, eventually, I realized it wasn't just about the quality of the images or my level of skill. In fact, maybe those were even the least important parts. What mattered most was that I was recording my life, and the lives of the people I cared about.
Anyway, I had the idea to make this video late one evening. So, I recorded just the audio and then mixed it with some footage that I captured recently on a camping trip. This one took a lot of time, I hope you all enjoy it.
Get out there and keep taking photographs. Document your life; you'll be glad you did.

Excellent! Speaking as a 64-year-old, you are right on the money! As you mention, it is a morbid thought. However, I choose to view photography as a way to preserve my memories of the places I have visited, the activities I enjoyed, and the people I have loved; exactly as you have described. Carry on the great work!

Dude, you're totally one of the most underrated CZcamsrs in photography and cinematography! Most would just talk about the specs of the camera and how amazing it is, but it all seem just machinery to me. Where's the story? Where's the soul and humanity of just the simple act of taking a photograph? I miss that in a lot of today's content. I really love the feel of your videos, almost sublime even. And I also love the fact that you show us the photos you take and not just talk about the process of taking it with an awesome gear. You're really amazing at the craft. Oh, and also in your other videos I noticed that you don't really care much for the newer, more expensive one's nowadays. I want to be someone like that someday. To be able to create something that beautiful, with anything that is available to them. I've always been the type to believe that if you just know your craft well enough, you can take great pictures even with a crappy camera.
I was photographing in the desert at 35, around Death Valley, with two great friends, one whom is no longer with us.
