Same, I lost my brother in 2022 so these things hit me harder now. This one didn't hit as hard as God of War: Ragnarok did, but it was still pretty hard.
With Norman going down the path towards becoming the Green Goblin as well as the return of Doc Ock and now the upcoming appearance of Carnage, I really hope Spider-Man 3 gives us either Monster Ock or the Red Goblin as the ultimate final boss of the series
Carnage most likely will be the main villain of the upcoming expansion for the game. They clearly want the 3rd game to be the Goblin, and Ock show if that's the plan.
I kinda doubt they'll do a Monster Ock. I am more likely to see Red Goblin happen if anything. Like a Looming Threat to the game being Green Goblin, like how Mr. Negative and Kraven were, Carnage showing up to cause Havoc like how Sinister Six and Lizard showed up, and perhaps either Red Goblin or someone else they want as the final threat, like Venom and Doctor Octopus. Honestly, I wonder if they would do Superior Spider-Man, but considering the climax is similar to symbiote Spider-Man, I kinda doubt it.

Harry here called himself Venom because.... Eh.. I don't know why. Probably it's like an irony on his goal of healing the world. Hosts use "we" in conversation because they have a collective consciousness with symbiotes and because the symbiote complements them, completes the image of a powerful being.... Or because the host considers the symbiote his partner and speaks for two (in the comics, Brock explained this).

Nice reference towards silk at the end, we're probably going to be seeing her in the next game, I'm okay with just a green goblin for a final boss in the next game, but they need to set up something somewhere to the end of the superior Spider-Man arc, where he had just taken over the whole town.
Gonna be honest I wish there was one final showdown between Peter and venom instead of the final fight being with miles and some QuickTime events afterwards. But it’s still a great fight nonetheless.

I think they just wanted to play as Peter one more time at the end of the fight, which is fair complaint, but I think the developers wanted to keep the gameplay balanced between the two Spider-Men while still giving Peter more focus in the cutscenes since he has more of a connection to Harry/Venom
@@nikoh33 I don’t really agree there. Peter took down lizard and almost killed Kraven. He also did a lot of the work against Sandman, he made the plans, dumped all the water, and dealt the final blow with the arms he designed. He also defeated Venom. Sure he got knocked out, but Miles almost got killed twice in that fight if it wasn’t for MJ. And Pete was giving Venom the work during the last part of the fight, even though it was mostly cutscenes.
@@reality8470 Miles saved him during the sandman fight, miles saved him again during the lizard chase, he got one shot by Kraven and pretty much died until the symbiote revived him, gets beaten by Miles even with the symbiote and with no cutscenes beating miles at least once with 3 rounds of fight, Miles have to save him again but with Li this time to overcome the symbiote, gets knocked out while having the anti venom suit(which is supposed to be venom’s weakness. Then you have miles barely see him struggle and does most of the saving, as if he has the most experience. Except for that one time against Kraven. Obviously, insomniac is pushing Miles to be the better spider man, that’s why he’s the main one now. But, i wish there was more balance between the 2.
Cant wait for Green Goblin. We got Dr Octopus in the first game and Venom in the second. Now, for Spiderman’s third and main archnemesis in the “final chapter.”
I think I didn't upgrade my suit tech and level up enough like I was supposed to. I was playing on friendly and the fight was so damn hard. It was so satisfying to finally beat him.
Makes sense. If you remember from the first game, Norman “never apologizes”. His Ego would rather let the Goblin take over him than to take accountability for his actions in the last 2 games.
Why is venom so powerful in this universe, it’s like he is a god with the way he just creates more symbiote. I’m struggling to believe that carnage will be stronger because without the anti venom this venom is easily a world level threat.
Carnage is stronger solely for the reason that the user and the symbiote are both equally unhinged, at least Harry was a good person. Also venom couldn’t end the world without the meteorite so that’s a saving grace
I feel carnage is gonna be a part of an expansion like how hammerhead and the magia were. He'll be a threat for sure, but maybe not as much of a threat as in the main game
I watched a streamer not realize you can swing to the other platforms when Venom was turning the floor into "lava" but at least she knew how to avoid getting hit by the floor itself.
I remember as soon as Harry woke up I was like, "Alright now take the suit Harry. Take the Anti Venom Suit. Surely it will keep you alive like the old one and we can have The Spidey Pals Trio up and running again."
I looked this up because I am having a ridiculously tough time with helping my son beat this boss. Now I realize that it’s because he just did main storylines so he doesn’t have nearly the same health/upgrades necessary. His health maxes out at 120. Welp….guess I’m going to have to start over without him knowing and do all the side stuff
There are some very stupid people who are convinced Peter just retired in this game, and will try telling you that he got replaced by Miles. I can guarantee you those people know nothing about Peter Parker. He will kill himself trying to save the world before he gives up the responsibility of protecting it.

Peter definitely became a punching bag on the second half but the game was good and showed miles stepping up, wish it wasnt by making peter look incompetent tho. Hope he dont die as a sacrifice in the next game. Bugs me too that peter said new york only need hm as spiderman because he reformed martin lee when peter also reformed mysterio tho.
i think it made sense with how much he was struggling with finding balance in this one. but i also think its just that miles is improving too, they bounced off each other more than when peter was teaching him
It’s irritating seeing people say they made Peter incompetent, he’s not he’s STRUGGLING, depressed, guilty and lost. His life is completely unbalanced and by the end of the game he’s just not sure if being Spider-Man after all this is something he should be doing. We’ve all seen this in the comics plenty of times, whereas Miles stepping up and overcoming his own issues had him in a much better place. Everything everyone’s taught him, Peter, his father, uncle, MJ and the friends Miles has at his side have made him into a Spider-Man worthy of being on his own. So much so he saved his mentor countless times in this game in his lowest points, it’s the payoff of their relationship. I honestly hope Peter retires in the final game, marries MJ and leaves it to Miles. The thing marvel comics would never have the balls to do
I mean it's his first time ever going against venom and kraven in this Game's universe. So we can cut him a slack (he was doing good against them nonetheless) And as mentioned above he's not in the most stable place at this time
They should have had the Symbiote survive and escape through a sewer drain or something, that would leave the door open for Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson to become Venom later in this universe.
With almost all of manhattan being infected by Venom and Peter still having symbiote in him I think they’re going to have him return by saying someone was under the symbiote infection longer. We do still get symbiote crimes after the main game so maybe someone (probably Eddie Brock) was under the symbiote’s influence for a good while before being freed but some story events happens and we get the return of Venom. Only way I can see him returning.
This boss fight gave me Goku Vs Vegeta vibes. Goku was not able to beat Vegeta on his own so Gohan, Krillin and Yajirobe had to finish him off together. The difference being that Peter was the one who finished Venom off even though Miles helped wear him down and Peter and Miles got out of the fight in decent condition.

Gohan defeated Cell on his own with one hand and Peter and Miles needed each other to beat Venom so that wouldn’t work, Goku and Frieza vs Jiren doesn’t work either because Frieza is a villain and since both Spider-Men are good guys the analogy wouldn’t work there either. I will give you this, the Goku and Vegeta vs Majin Buu similarities I can definitely see but not the Broly one so much. Goku vs Vegeta I believe has the most similarities with this fight.
I think the gameplay is amazing. The story is amazing. I used the anti venom abilities, even used the Sonic gadget and the interactive objects thought the fight (the police car and score board on the foot ball field).
26:14 if you guys didn't notice, norman said get the G serum ready, harry has been confirmed to be alive rn but hasn't confirmed if he is gonna stay alive in the 3rd game but you know guys? If you noticed G serum probably means Goblin Serum, which means the cure that norman might have been working on was the thing that turns someone into a green goblin, the cure that is different than the symbiote, this means that harry is coming back but this time he is coming back as green goblin, he might be a villain, he might be a hero (cause at this video you can see that harry was still with peter and it was the symbiote that was talking, or he could be an anti hero, he could be just like the new goblin from spiderman 3 as well, all we have to do is guess, find some hints and wait

The serum hasn’t been tested on anyone yet because he was rushing it, it’s set up in a prior scene. He’s gonna test it on himself and then become the goblin. It’s possible Harry could die and then he’ll absolutely lose his mind and hunt down Peter and Miles and everyone they care about. They also have Norman dressed in green constantly. Harry being used for a second time as a villain would be so repetitive and a terrible writing choice. It’s absolutely not happening

The biggest complaint that i had with the boss was Peter sensing Venom's attack. Which make no sense considering in the comics, Spider-Man coudl never sense any of Venom's attack. Seeing the spidersense popping up was a surpise.

Yeah, but venom and Harry hate Peter/Spiderman right now, so it's the same thing as far as that goes, and the symbiote can just be named venom it isn't a huge deal, or they yet again could've just been doing the same thing, except they just didn't explicitly say that's why they are called venom
This boss fight was way too long. The first game's final boss was the perfect length. Also, does anyone else think it was really awkward that Miles gets the final fight with Venom? I think it would've worked way better if Miles was the initial distraction, THEN Peter gets the final fight, since he has a much deeper connection with Harry, and it would've felt much more organic.
I was a little distracted by the wings. I looked it up after I beat the game and saw that Venom got the ability to have wings in some 2018 comic series. I had no idea. I personally would have preferred him using Spider powers in the fight.
The fight at the high school really gave me Ultimate Spiderman vibes, especially since it's raining in that fight too.

Gonna be honest I wish there was one final showdown between Peter and venom instead of the final fight being with miles and some QuickTime events afterwards. But it’s still a great fight nonetheless.

I think they just wanted to play as Peter one more time at the end of the fight, which is fair complaint, but I think the developers wanted to keep the gameplay balanced between the two Spider-Men while still giving Peter more focus in the cutscenes since he has more of a connection to Harry/Venom

@@nikoh33 I don’t really agree there. Peter took down lizard and almost killed Kraven. He also did a lot of the work against Sandman, he made the plans, dumped all the water, and dealt the final blow with the arms he designed. He also defeated Venom. Sure he got knocked out, but Miles almost got killed twice in that fight if it wasn’t for MJ. And Pete was giving Venom the work during the last part of the fight, even though it was mostly cutscenes.
@@reality8470 Miles saved him during the sandman fight, miles saved him again during the lizard chase, he got one shot by Kraven and pretty much died until the symbiote revived him, gets beaten by Miles even with the symbiote and with no cutscenes beating miles at least once with 3 rounds of fight, Miles have to save him again but with Li this time to overcome the symbiote, gets knocked out while having the anti venom suit(which is supposed to be venom’s weakness. Then you have miles barely see him struggle and does most of the saving, as if he has the most experience. Except for that one time against Kraven. Obviously, insomniac is pushing Miles to be the better spider man, that’s why he’s the main one now. But, i wish there was more balance between the 2.

I think I didn't upgrade my suit tech and level up enough like I was supposed to. I was playing on friendly and the fight was so damn hard. It was so satisfying to finally beat him.

Makes sense. If you remember from the first game, Norman “never apologizes”. His Ego would rather let the Goblin take over him than to take accountability for his actions in the last 2 games.
Why is venom so powerful in this universe, it’s like he is a god with the way he just creates more symbiote. I’m struggling to believe that carnage will be stronger because without the anti venom this venom is easily a world level threat.
Carnage is stronger solely for the reason that the user and the symbiote are both equally unhinged, at least Harry was a good person. Also venom couldn’t end the world without the meteorite so that’s a saving grace
I feel carnage is gonna be a part of an expansion like how hammerhead and the magia were. He'll be a threat for sure, but maybe not as much of a threat as in the main game
The offspring of symbiotes will ALWAYS be stronger. The only reason offspring might lose is because of their host.

Peter definitely became a punching bag on the second half but the game was good and showed miles stepping up, wish it wasnt by making peter look incompetent tho. Hope he dont die as a sacrifice in the next game.

i think it made sense with how much he was struggling with finding balance in this one. but i also think its just that miles is improving too, they bounced off each other more than when peter was teaching him
It’s irritating seeing people say they made Peter incompetent, he’s not he’s STRUGGLING, depressed, guilty and lost. His life is completely unbalanced and by the end of the game he’s just not sure if being Spider-Man after all this is something he should be doing. We’ve all seen this in the comics plenty of times, whereas Miles stepping up and overcoming his own issues had him in a much better place. Everything everyone’s taught him, Peter, his father, uncle, MJ and the friends Miles has at his side have made him into a Spider-Man worthy of being on his own. So much so he saved his mentor countless times in this game in his lowest points, it’s the payoff of their relationship.
I honestly hope Peter retires in the final game, marries MJ and leaves it to Miles. The thing marvel comics would never have the balls to do

They should have had the Symbiote survive and escape through a sewer drain or something, that would leave the door open for Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson to become Venom later in this universe.
Well Insomniac are making a Venom game in the same universe so the symbiote must still be alive somehow
With almost all of manhattan being infected by Venom and Peter still having symbiote in him I think they’re going to have him return by saying someone was under the symbiote infection longer. We do still get symbiote crimes after the main game so maybe someone (probably Eddie Brock) was under the symbiote’s influence for a good while before being freed but some story events happens and we get the return of Venom. Only way I can see him returning.

This boss fight gave me Goku Vs Vegeta vibes. Goku was not able to beat Vegeta on his own so Gohan, Krillin and Yajirobe had to finish him off together. The difference being that Peter was the one who finished Venom off even though Miles helped wear him down and Peter and Miles got out of the fight in decent condition.
Or Goku and Gohan taking down Cell. Or Goku and Frieza taking down Jiern. Or Goku and Vegeta taking down Broly or Buu.
@@tjz3158Naw, some of those don’t fit the analogy very well. Gohan defeated Cell on his own with one hand and Peter and Miles needed each other to beat Venom so that wouldn’t work, Goku and Frieza vs Jiren doesn’t work either because Frieza is a villain and since both Spider-Men are good guys the analogy wouldn’t work there either. I will give you this, the Goku and Vegeta vs Majin Buu similarities I can definitely see but not the Broly one so much. Goku vs Vegeta I believe has the most similarities with this fight.

Shooting webs slightly fills both the health bar and the focus meter. Probably why he was doing it all the time
webbing venom still gives you focus so you can either heal or do a finisher

I still cant find a video where peter does a finisher in venom and nobody realizes that they have to use anti-venom abilities to break venom's shield.
I used the anti venom abilities, even used the Sonic gadget and the interactive objects thought the fight (the police car and score board on the foot ball field).

26:14 if you guys didn't notice, norman said get the G serum ready, harry has been confirmed to be alive rn but hasn't confirmed if he is gonna stay alive in the 3rd game but you know guys? If you noticed G serum probably means Goblin Serum, which means the cure that norman might have been working on was the thing that turns someone into a green goblin, the cure that is different than the symbiote, this means that harry is coming back but this time he is coming back as green goblin, he might be a villain, he might be a hero (cause at this video you can see that harry was still with peter and it was the symbiote that was talking, or he could be an anti hero, he could be just like the new goblin from spiderman 3 as well, all we have to do is guess, find some hints and wait

The serum hasn’t been tested on anyone yet because he was rushing it, it’s set up in a prior scene. He’s gonna test it on himself and then become the goblin. It’s possible Harry could die and then he’ll absolutely lose his mind and hunt down Peter and Miles and everyone they care about. They also have Norman dressed in green constantly. Harry being used for a second time as a villain would be so repetitive and a terrible writing choice. It’s absolutely not happening

The biggest complaint that i had with the boss was Peter sensing Venom's attack. Which make no sense considering in the comics, Spider-Man coudl never sense any of Venom's attack. Seeing the spidersense popping up was a surpise.
But this isn't the comics.
That feature also wouldn't just be part of venom, all the symbiotes you fight would have it, and that would make it too rough to fight them

Peter is supposed to have a 10 year experience, but he tends to be incompetent at times. Then you have Miles who barely struggles and doing all the saving, and doesnt need a symbiote suit to beat Venom, and didn’t really struggles against symbiote Peter. I do love Miles, but i just didnt like how there’s no balance between the 2.

Yeah, but venom and Harry hate Peter/Spiderman right now, so it's the same thing as far as that goes, and the symbiote can just be named venom it isn't a huge deal, or they yet again could've just been doing the same thing, except they just didn't explicitly say that's why they are called venom

This boss fight was way too long. The first game's final boss was the perfect length. Also, does anyone else think it was really awkward that Miles gets the final fight with Venom? I think it would've worked way better if Miles was the initial distraction, THEN Peter gets the final fight, since he has a much deeper connection with Harry, and it would've felt much more organic.

I was a little distracted by the wings. I looked it up after I beat the game and saw that Venom got the ability to have wings in some 2018 comic series. I had no idea. I personally would have preferred him using Spider powers in the fight.
