  • By focussing solely on a single stimulus, this body and breath meditation helps to settle the mind. The movement of the breath in the body is ideal to focus on as this sensation is always present.
    It is recommended by the authors that this is practised six out of seven days in the first week of the programme. This meditation is only eight minutes long so aim for twice or more per day if you can.
    This meditation is often useful for focussing oneself on the present moment, putting a brake on stressful trains of thought. This is also useful for general practise of the skill that is meditations - particularly for beginners.

    My first time coming back to this for a while. Thanks Mark and Danny - it's good to know that the years of meditation I've done are still here if I need to come back to them.

    Thank you for having a simple YT page with just the needed meditations, and for posting these meditations online with a set schedule to follow. It makes it easier to follow a set regimen and schedule without getting distracted. Much appreciated!

    I don’t know why but watching my hands move, made me laugh for about 5 mins. I think some energy had to leave my body in this way.
    Thank you for putting this here.I am reading the book Mindfulness, and I just don’t want it to end 😀😀

    Çok teşekkürler, kitabın arkasındaki cd'yi kaybetmiştim, kaydı görünce sevindim. Kayıt ingilizce ama konuşmaların Türkçesi de kitapta var. İngilizcesi iyi olmayanlar önce kitapta okuduktan sonra bu kayıdı dinleyebilir ya da kayıdı hiç dinlemeden kitapta yazılanlara göre 8 dakikalık meditasyonu yapabilir.

    I presume the idea is to do this meditation every day in week 1, and then mediation 2 every day in week 2 and so on?

      @adrianasalvaterra4709 Před 3 lety +1

      the book suggests at least 2 times a day (preferably 3) for a week, then to move to the second meditation for another week, and so on

      Very sorry about this - we can't currently control where CZcams put ads unfortunately, and we can't currently disable them either! Hope you took value from it regardless.

    Why are there ads in this? Why did I have to skip an ad? What’s even the point of it all in that case? You’ve taken the use away from the video by trying to make a profit from someone else’s work.

    Please stop putting ads in the middle of meditations. Makes video totally useless to listen to. Just a bad experience.

    Getting part way into the meditation and then being blasted by loud music and advert renders it absolutely useless.
