Thank you for showing this technique. Your voice is peaceful and that helps too when teaching others to learn a new skill .
Thank you so much! I am not ready to give up my narwhal knee highs.
I love the plastic bottle idea - makes sewing from the inside so much easier. Thanks!
I like that knowledge and the music is not annoying......LIKE!
I just finished mending one of my granddaughter's favorite pairs of socks, and this video helped me do it. Thank you! And by the way, Waterfall and music sounds are way too much but i muted it and follow the CC.
Very useful technique. Thank you for making this video, my sock darning no doubt will improve from now on :-)
"If you give a darn". A+ pun lol
And what happens to people who say words like shoot and darn? When they die they go to heck.
Thanks, new mountaineering socks cost £24.95, I'll darn the holes today.
Please no music. Your voice is soft and the music makes it hard to hear you.
always amazes me that people who edit videos make mistakes like this. a blind horse would have caught this
I agree, softermusic & no falling water in background, please. I alos darn, but take bigger area to strengthen the patch.
Good video! Thank you for sharing it!!
This is terrific, thank you!
Thank you so much, so helpful!😍
I like it thanks 😊
awsome, im going to use this to fix a hole in the fabric of my shoes ;D
If you try this - remember to keep the sock pulled tight - down over the 'darning egg'. Use extra thread or a rubber band to keep it tight. Then when you finish and release the sock the repair stitches are nice and tight.
This woman forgot so her repair will be loose stitches.
Eureka! Vou usar o mastão de desodorante, que tem a tampa arredondada. Valeu.
thank you!
so much work for such an itty bitty teeny meeny tiny little hole. sorry for the lack of adjectives.
little itty bitty teeny meeny tiny little hole will turn into A HUMUNGOUS hole if you do not darn it! Also, we are supposed, as a society, to be learning how NOT to waste resources by throwing things away. I knit my own socks, and if I find a hole there is no way I am going to throw away all that work. Darn it!I
/the music is overpowering.
The music is ok. It's the ambient noise of the room which is too loud when she speaks because the mic is too far away from her mouth, and she is not speaking loud enough which doesn't help. So maybe Linda G is correct regarding the music. It's too loud if the woman does not use a proper mic.
It is so much easier to do it with a different color thread, more difficult using same color thread.
When weaving, are you picking up parts of the sock as well?
Yes; according to another video I saw. That makes the surrounding areas stronger.
Grooooooooovy
Music was not an enhancement
A conventional light bulb makes a great darning egg.
that background noise is awful and unnecessary.
Why is it important to darn the socks over a small hole instead of just sewing it up like we do for any normal fabric hole?
This would make the sock pucker, therefore leaving a knot on the sock to rub a blister on your foot, in addition to being very uncomfortable.
ah...so if I have no issue with a blister , I can still continue to sew it the basic way?
It will be uncomfortable if you sew it up the normal way. Also, darning is useful to replace and reinforce the weakened areas of the sock. :)
Hate you Bad person that is so mean and does not care about one thing that is so rude to this lady
Please lose the music, it isn't helpful as we cannot hear you.
The issue is not so much the music but your voice is not as loud as the music and it has an echo. Great visual. Awful sound. It's really unusable.
I'm done. That horrible motherfucking insidious toy piano+ ukulele music is positively rage inducing.
I hear this shit, I see red. After clicking on this video, it took me 10 minutes to stop shaking
before I could type this.
For me, clicking on these tutorials is a dangerous game of Russian Roulette-
I just don't know which one it's going to be that is going to make me shoot myself
in the head, but it will definitely be one of them if I keep spinning the cylinder
and clicking.
If a prescription drug caused me to have as much suicidal and homicidal ideation
as this monstrous music does, I could sue the pharmaceutical company.
U3idu🙄🙄😒🙂
you have this STUPID MUSIC in the background, and it interferes with understanding your instructions... which I AM SURE are good instructions....
