    If you take both sides you split in half, put them in a bucket with hot water and nitric acid, all silver go's to solution. Take your solution, use table salt or HCL drop the silver chloride then Lye/ sugar method to convert back to metal and melt. Keep vids coming Pete i enjoy em

      @@GingerKing304 I think it's more for not wasting nitric on getting the silver out of these, take the silver you get from this and combine it with whatever else you have to refine. That way you can just use your nitric where you actually need it. That was my plan anyways.

    Hi Pete great show as normal keep it up one easy way to part DVDS boil in water and it separates good work

    I have used a paper shreader first, then I use a blender and finally a coffee grinder it's almost a fine powder, it then strips out the silver at much faster rate, when melting gold or silver be very careful as they both give off a arsenic gas.

    I use a blender for cds. Then extract silve with nitric.

    Hi Pete, just wondered can you use this dunking in bleach method for silver plate items like cutlery etc to remove the silver?

      That would take forever. Use sulphuric acid and a battery takes seconds, reduce the solution with water and filter
