Thank you for this video. I’m a newbie and was getting really lost in the weeds of reading every book possible - how to do everything PERFECTLY? As an example, I wanted to clear my first tarot decks and I was gifted a (ethically sourced) white sage smudge stick…but then read that it might be disrespectful to Native American cultures (I am not from the US, so am not as aware of the culture). Anyway, so back I went to more researching for clearing herbs from my own culture and discovered that many of those are not available where I live! Paralysis followed!! Why not just find a different clearing ritual for my decks - something meaningful and intention-filled for me? I realised that just DOING SOMETHING is enough as long as it is done respectfully and with intention. So reassuring to hear that even those who have walked the path for a long time sometimes suffer from perfectionism paralysis. Love your channel 💖

You know, with my Virgo Moon, I am certainly no stranger to "perfection paralysis," that's for sure. But, in my stage of life, I question that thought. I'm only inclined to accept that thought when I think I should be doing something, but in reality, I don't really want to do it. Because I know that, if I really wanted to do it, I would. I have more to do than I have time for, and I'm busy with the things I want to do. And, I'm capable of doing many things well. These days, simply being/doing nothing is actually more rewarding than anything else. I set goals for myself, and I usually achieve them, but if something else takes their place, I figure it was actually more important. I know when I'm being guided and I value nothing more than that.

Perfection Paralysis... that's me! I've been reading Matt Auryn's Psychic Witch for over 2 years, as I feel I can't move on until I've mastered each exercise... and that's just for starters. I'm a sugarcraft artist by profession and perfectionism spills over into my working life, too. I am getting much better though and most of my spell work is improvised and done on-the-fly. Watching your video was very soothing and a great reminder just to get out there and do it.
I've been wanting bees for nearly 10 years, but have way too many commitments (and too many kids 😂) right now, but am considering some Red Masonry bees, to try and repopulate in our vicinity, in the intrim.
Your farm looks amazing and so peaceful. And, I hope whatever it was (pardon my ignorance) you were making with the Lilac, is working.

Oh my gosh! I have never mastered exercise 1 in his book! I make it to like 17, but I think I'm trying to be perfect. Lol
My spell work is on the fly too, wvolving as I step in and that works doe me!
@Natural Witchery if you're on about the counting backwards from 100 exercise, then I don't usually get to 30. I have dyscalcula (number dyslexic) so counting forwards is enough of a challenge, so I either mess up the numbers or fall asleep! 🤦♀️😆
Great video. I lost 2 out of 3 hives làt year due to mites. This year my brother brought me up to 5 hives. Good luck with your bees. 🌻🐝
I made it through my first year and split my hive.
I'm nervous, as I'm out of country and unable to see if they are ok. Mites wete bad in fall, but I treated.

I’m actually working on something called enfleurage with my Lilies of the Valley. If I had a lilac bush, I’d use them too. I’ve never tried it before, but I really get a lot out of the trial and error phase of perfecting a process. It’s where I learn the most lessons. Great video!
And if we don't try, we have no adventures!

Thank you for bringing up this topic! The perfection paralysis I struggle with has to do with the whole "protection" process that most people warn is really important to do before doing spell work, rituals, or even divination. I try to get the protective words and rituals just right by watching or reading what other people do and say, but I feel like I'm just reading a script. It doesn't feel authentic to me. I think it's because, in my mind, the energies of nature that I feel pulled to work with aren't good or bad, they just are. Am I just being naive?
I think it is good to check in, listen, and respect the energies around us. That being said, I do what feels right TO ME for the situation; sometimes a meditive bubble, other times I ground or smoke the area. Most of the time, I enter with perfect love and trust to engage with the energy.
I want to feeel my way into my spell work with integrity. Sounds Luke you do too!

This was a terrible FAIL! I got the method on YT and there was ZERO fragrance!
I have heard the method with coconut oil on a cookie sheet works?
Please tell us if that method with the lilacs worked! I have tried making lilac oil so many times and have failed. Thank you for this insightful video too!
