I am learning to truly appreciate and connect with Mother Earth ! I have been hanging out in a little nature retreat I created in our side yard. We've seen baby bunnies, tons of clover growing, the birds singing and gentle breezes caressing our skin. I even had a butterfly sit on my face and tickle me. How amazing Mother Earth is when you open up to her. You have inspired me to see her beauty. Thank You 💞
I experienced 12 yrs of a high control religious organization that I gave my whole being to. I get what you say. When I left, I felt a huge sense of spiritual freedom and growth. I am STILL healing from the trauma of being in that organization. But the path I am on now is helping me. I am still finding magickal me, my power, my voice; but I am loving the journey and adventure. My most powerful times of year are Autumn & Spring. Summer and Winter are hard for me due to health issues I have. But I do love those seasons as far as the experiences & feelings they give. Heat & humidity do me in. Love your farm walks!!! Look forward to them. I, sadly, do not have space for ground gardening, but I have 32+ thriving containers of various plants, herbs and smaller yield veggies. I love that you emphasize to making our own magick, suited to our own life, our own needs & desires. You make practicing magick so much LESS stressed. I am a Moon Child, Fall & Spring lover. I've also struggled with the summer season this last decade or so. For years I kept the curtains drawn, waited until the sun went down to go outside, only bought black, grey, navy, etc. clothes and so forth. For many years I only felt comfortable in the shadows. Then a shift started happening last fall. I started craving more colors in my life. More light and more warmth. This is the first summer (since I was a kid) that I'm excited to be in the sun. To see and be seen. I feel like there is a lot of trauma that I have been healing from and that I'm moving into a different phase of my life where I'm ready to embrace the sun again and it's exciting.
It's so interesting how trauma manifests in our lives.
I, too, have felt a draw to some of the colors I don't normally wear, like pink.
I'm living more full spectrum now and it's a beautiful adventure!

This year I'm thinking a late evening BBQ, some punch with herbs from the garden, followed by a fire under the stars with some herbs to burn on it with wishes for the next 12months. 🌞🌻🌻

yay!!! i love that you are encouraging people to work with what is going on in their area, life and land. I think most of us in the U.S. get to experience a universal Sunny Litha time but for some of the cross quarters like Imbolc or Mabon I like to encourage people in northern climates to work with what feels right for them because they might not be feeling the inkling of warmth that imbolc brings for me in the south. LOL imbolc for me in the south east is "first summer" because we get this huge surge of hot weather and then it dips down to freezing temperatures again. For me Summer solstice gives us these beautiful days that are still hot but not "too hot" yet. and then Lughnasdah has us begging for relief and i like to start thinking of the crafts that I will begin to work on indoors in the fall!
I find that I am ready for each new season, lol.
It's so important for us to CONNECT. To me, that means honoring what is happening in our area and reveling in it. I agree that many up north aren't feeling the cross-quarters as we do. Let each of us revel in the lives we live!
🌞 🌞 🌞 I am in the middle of moving house so a lot of energy is about and I find it quite exhausting at this time of year anyway. I don’t do heat and noise and bright light very well but I am trying to enjoy it and fit in rest whenever I can rather than getting overwhelmed this year. The lead up to my house move has been an ordeal and I felt it was fitting that we are moving in around the summer solstice, like climbing a mountain. I’m going to make sure I have a sit down at the summit to enjoy the view!

Merry Meet. My garden is off to a slow start but it's in. LOL We've had a very wet/ chilly spring. Today (6-15) is the first 'hot' day we've had. Thanks for sharing your 🌞🌞🌞I am such a fall person. My favorite time for me to be in the garden is in the evening. When I was an older teen, I couldn't been in the garden during the heat without getting nose bleeds. As pretty as it is in the early mornings (which is when I get up) I prefer to be outside in the evening (yet, I go to bed really early LOL) Thanks for sharing your printable. Creative Blessings!

I struggle so much with the summer because I live in Florida. For about 6 months of the year it is brutal here. I have a hard time wanting to do anything let alone go outside. My summer solstice will be celebrated inside in the air conditioning because right now it is extremely hot. As are so many celebrations celebrated inside because of the weather here. Thanks for your story.

I’ll likely start the day with some mild yoga in the backyard, put out a bunch of items to charge in the sunlight for some charm bags, and make sun tea. And then whatever else feels right. My practice is organic, so whatever comes up that I feel I should do, I do!! Have a lovely solstice. Happy Litha everyone!

🌞 🌞 🌞 Happy Litha to all in the Northern Hemisphere! I’m in the Southern Hemisphere so I am celebrating Yule. Most of my family celebrates Christmas in December (during our Midsummer) with many of the pagan trimmings. So I have had to really think about how to honour our seasons locally. And it is beautiful to be making my own practice and ‘traditions’ . Thank you for sharing your journey.

Thank you so much for being so honest. I can relate to you. I had a traumatic childhood which meant i had to grow up very quickly. When I think of the sunny days of my childhood, the trauma is always there. Perhaps its time for me to reclaim the sun like you have done. I was brought up in a strict religious background but it never felt right for me. When I started researching Paganism it sparked something in me. Thank you so much for your channel. It is really helping me on my spiritual journey. ❤

Thank you for sharing your challenge with the sun. I live in Denver where we not only get 300 days of sunshine a year, but we have been in a 20-year drought with heat waves in the summer reaching 100 degrees, and at high altitudes, the sun would feel like a searing laser beam. With the smoke from wildfires, it has been impossible to be outside in the summer for many years. I wasn't sure how much longer I could bear it. This spring and summer the Goddess has been so gracious sending us daily rain with beautiful thunderstorms every afternoon. My garden is lush again with flowers and herbs and I can sit outside almost all day, even in my gazebo during the rain. Every day has been a lesson in balance as I take in the warm sun and cool rain and experience my own healing while I observe the healing earth. I'll never again underestimate the effect nature has on my inner world. I hear you.
My daughter and grandkids live in Boulder. I have never been there when it's really been there when it's hot, but that sounds miserable!

I'm struggle with the sun and to connect living here in AZ.
I had developed a minor skin cancer. I had it removed but I'm still not connecting with the sun.
I can see how it might be hard to connect with nature in Arizona. There is a peacefulness to the desert 🏜 and a beauty to the mountains ⛰️. The sunsets can be spectacular as well!
