    On my 2013 BV350, the only traction problem I've ever had was on recently rained-on oily road. Made the mistake of pulling on the throttle too hard at the stop light. Didn't crash, but it got very wobbly and scary for a couple seconds. Also, I took off the windscreen. Added a akrapovic exhaust. Best scooter ever.

    Another awesome review Robot. After having discovered you and Scooter West years ago I would never buy another bike without having heard/seen one of your reviews first. On another topic hopefully some day, in the not so distant future, Piaggio and other scooter manufacturers will start being more honest with their labeling and actually give us the engine size claimed in the model name but I won't hold my breath. It's been going on a long time...I have a 2006 "Burgman 400" but in reality it's actually only 385 c.c. as well as a "200 Aprilia Scarabeo" which is actually a 180 c.c. . Suzuki did in 2007 I believe actually provide a true 400 c.c. and I'm betting you guys could name countless other bikes with false labeling over the years Motorcyles included.

    I’ve got about 5000 miles on my 2018 BV350 so far. Getting on average 68 mpg with 20 miles each way on my daily LA commute which includes about 15 miles of freeway. The only non stock item I have on it is the Akropovic slip on exhaust which saved a good 8 lbs and makes for a nice throaty sound. I’ve owned lots of bikes over the years but I have to agree with Robot, as a “tool” there is no better bike, especially for high traffic locations.

    one more time, however, how many more $6500 Italian scooters will be built without LED headlights when every single Scooter coming from Asia, costing less than 40% has one? I understand what your business is in you are the most respected expert on the Internet regarding this Scooter, but the omission of safety features like an LED headlight tells us that the parent company doesn't give a damn about those who might plunk down the $6500 for the Beverly... This scooter came out in 2010, so it's an almost 10 years old project... and they changed very little from the first one, only pollution regulations, colors and abs/asr on standard. It was a very good scooter when it came out, it is still now (I owned it), but it doesn't have the features of modern scooters. I agree that the price could be too high at this time, actually here in Italy you can now buy one brand new with less than 5000€...

Another option is to have your seat shaved down at an upholstery shop which we have done many times for customers. Hope this helps...

    • @ruezi12
      @ruezi12 Před 4 lety +2

      @@davidbrooksbank7444 I agree, the vespa is more handsome, but by far not that stable the BV is. The Vespa hasn´t got a flat floor either. The Honda SH or the Kymco People are the only ones with real flat floor. Beside this the BV is more powerful and has a much larger space under the seat. The BV is also much cheaper. The BV has a cluch running in oil like all motorcycles do, which gives more reliability. I saw the crankshaft of a GTS 300 and of a BV laying side by side - the one of the GTS looked like the one of a moped. The BV has much larger bearings, so that I think you can drive up to 100.000 Miles with that engine.

    When i turn on the key the Orange light (abs) is not blinking anymore. I lost the user manual. My scooter has a problem or i am the problem😂😂😂😂? Hehehe

    • @simone9945
      @simone9945 Před 4 lety

      If it's blinking it means the abs is working and it's activated, if it remains turned on, it means it's working but it's deactivated. If you want to activate it, all you need to do is press the asr button for a couple of seconds and you'll have it back.

      No, if you think that you don't get the appeal. I started on scooters and have had big bikes. I prefer the GTS to any bike I have ever owned. I don't need to massage my ego and the GTS 300 is a great machine to ride and much more practical.

    Price ?! I will never never never trade Japanese reliability and quality products with European. Period. Honda PCX 150 for $3,700 would last for 10 years minimum.
