I got this one last week(the European model). The one with smoked windshield and color-matched top-case. I'm 100% satisfied, this machine has style, beauty, comfort and very important: usability. Just a fantastic powerful tool.I can't wait for spring to enjoy it even more.

Being a 22 year, year round scooter I think this review is fair and accurate. I have a 2013 and I'd place the engine at the top of the list in the strength category. The thing just rips. For me the number one weakness is the harsh suspension. Not that it's worse than the predecessors I've owned, I just can't say it's much better. For those out there looking to commute in a cold climate, I find the weather protection to be more than adequate. I hope Piaggio keeps sending them as in my part of the country (Virginia) I've never seen another on the road.

Clutch and engine are 10 out of 10 for me, the other day on the highway I was going at 65 mph no problem, big windshield, I 6"4 95 kg quite heavy then and no problem. Suspension is very bad tho.

  • @infinitydreamzz
    @infinitydreamzz Před 3 lety +6

    Positives:
    -Fast for a scooter
-Good classy looks, can ever wear a business suit and look the part
-Quiet operation if that's your thing, I love it
-Very stable even at top speed, like a proper motorbike
-Slimmer than other scooters in the category, good for filtering
    -Good storage
    -Looks good with a topbox
    -ABS works just fine
-Comfortable riding position, good for posture and back
-Saddle is comfortable enough for longer rides
-It's a very good commuting tool
    Negatives:
-Acceleration 0-60 is not 5 sec, more like 8, after a while it gets a bit boring. It may be a good idea to try a few mods.
-30HP not that good for pillion, or on uphill sections at highway speeds.
-That damn ASR. Will stall the engine at the tiniest pothole or stone. Super annoying and can be dangerous during overtaking. No option to disable it permanently, have to do it manually every time.
-Very expensive parts. Drop it and you get a 1000 bill.
-Does not excel in fuel economy. It's just OK.
-Very heavy. Common problem for 300/400cc scooters. You don't feel it when riding, probably because it's bottom heavy as Robot said, but you feel it when you have to push the bike for any reason.
-Expensive. Can get a much better new or slightly used motorbike for same amount of money. Again common issue with scooters but it makes you think twice: Should I be buying a motorbike instead?

    Hi Robot
    I just purchased a brand new 2021 BV350 tour.
As I was riding it today for its first 20 mi and I notice a knocking sound only at idle when sitting at a traffic light coming from the left side of the bike at the engine I believe. This knocking sound seem to go away over a few minutes after I got home and let it idle in the garage.
So the sound only shows up when I'm riding the bike and then I come to a stop and I'm idling like at a traffic light other than that the bike rides fine.
I was told this might be related to the clutch weights and the knocking should decrease over time. Is this normal?
    Thank you so much

Mine's a 2020, I commute twice a day to work and back ( drive buses for handicapped kids ) so it gets a workout. Certainly has enough grunt to surprise drivers on our 110k limit freeways as I pass them. I do more ks on it than my car and Harley combined and so far it's proven its worth. As a mechanic it's easy to maintain and the rear tyre lasts way longer than the small wheel scooters. I dislike the seat however as it's fairly hard and only covers a small area of your butt. A little more leg room would be nice also otherwise am happy.

I wish this scooter came with 45HP engine option, while maintaining the same dimensions. That would be just awesome.

      Why not 60HP or 1000HP?
I have the BMW C650 which is 60HP, but to get this you need a bigger engine, which means longer wheelbase which means heavier and not as nimble.
30HP is a sweet sport for this format, once you go bigger you lose a lot of other things.

Robot, I have a GTS 300 and an early model MP3 500. Both are low mileage but old enough to make me think about changing scoots. I have not had any significant mechanical issues with either one. I was thinking of trading them in toward a BV 350 touring, based on this review, something townish like the GTS 300, something better on the highway like the MP3. I went to Portland Vespa (I live in Salem) for a service on my Vespa, they had 2 BV 350s there.. I liked everything about them but the seat and seating position. I am 6 feet tall, 185 pounds. The regular BV 350 seat was appallingly bad, small, felt like it was trying to push me off of it. The Touring BV seat was much better but still, leg position too short. It's the one thing that makes me hesitate... From other vids you've made I gleaned the fact that aftermarket seats are non existent. This is disappointing. What has been your experience with taller riders and the BV 350 seat? Does the up and coming BV400 Promise a better situation? Thanks, man. P.S. If I still lived in Santa Barbara, I'd make the commute to Vespa Motorsport just to shake your hand.

Wow, I really like Vespas but I like this better, especially the bigger wheels. I always thought the Vespas should have bigger wheels especially since I ride a motorcycle. I like this bike and how the weight is kept low for handling. Can you get the box on the back and can you fit 1 or 2 helmets under the seat? Please get back to me. You do good reviews

Hello. I have experienced a problem that i see many owners of Piaggio Beverly 350 have seen it so far. While i drive my BV350 often i get this immediate cuts in power, the engine cuts out for a brief period for a second or so, or sometimes long enough for the bike to come to a complete standstill and then turn the key again and then the bike goes normally again.I see this to be very common problem so if you know where to address this problem please give me clues so i can tell my mechanic where to look for the problem so i can drive the bike properly, because this way it is unusable and very dangerous on open road, because bring the bike to a sudden stops or loss in power and it is very unsafe. Thank you

I wish they would improve the seat (other than the non-slip fabric). Piaggio have heard endless complaints about how uncomfortable the seat is and they continue to use the same basic design. :(

A full-face can fit if you lay it side-ways, but I wouldn't recommend it. The under-seat storage is generous. A small child can fit inside. Don't ask me how I know ;-)
