It’s so cool to see Paul bake alone just “us” ya know? I love the great British baking show but this is also great. 🙌
I’ve just tried these flatbreads, all I had in the cupboard was some whole meal bread flower, they were easy to make and better that any flatbread I had had in the past, wonderful, every day is a school day!
Wow, I learned so much in this short video. Most baking videos I've seen just tell you what to put in the recipe, but you explained the reason behind the ingredients. Thanks!
I always think that what Paul doesn’t know about bread making isn’t worth knowing!
Most recipe will tell you to put the flatbread in a dry frying pan. I will try putting oil in the next batch.
Yum! You make this look so easy. Thanks Paul.
These are so good, I put onion seeds in and serve them with shawarma
Love the simple easy ways you teach
Thanks Paul for these simple but great videos. Keep them coming!! 😊
Thank you so much! So informative photos supported the process. Really terrific! Thanks!
Thank you for making it easy to understand and look manageable for those of us who have never made bread before! Thanks Paul!
Thank you Paul , I'm loving your channel .
Thanks for the informative video Paul. I have really been enjoying the simple bakes videos. I love to bake, and will have to try your recipes. Have a wonderful day!!
Wow!! That's awesome. Bread so fast.
The simplicity of his cooking i loved it🤩🤩🤩.
Love the olive oil tip when kneading the dough.
Me encanta que rápido y fácil lo haces todo ,gracias Paul .🌹
I just love your programs and shows you are a master Baker
We love this flat bread it’s great with curry thanks Paul 😃
Love that. Going to have to try myself.
Paul...I absolutely love how you enjoy food ❤❤😊
Amazing 👏.
So easy and delicious 😋
Oh yeah, I have been wanting to try making flat bread! Thanks!
Yum!!!!! Thank you Paul!!!
Oh yeah!! Hold me back! Looks totally YUMMY!!
Always wanted to make flatbread. This is so simple to follow. TFS from across the pond. 🇺🇸
That looks so easy to make, I will be making that one as soon as my current loaf of bread is gone. That would be so good with hummus. Thanks Paul!
Paul u the best
Am a big fan of yours
Love all your recipes
Love from South Africa
Just made a batch this afternoon ready for dinner of chicken and fish, wrapping them up to use up the leftovers . The olive oil does make a difference as does some cheese (used dried Parmesan). Thanks Paul.
Can’t wait to try this!
Thanks for making these. I really wish you'd make more Master Class shows too.
I second that!
I got hooked on The Great British Baking Show and then ordered Paul's How To Bake. I then went straight to Paul's youtube channel looking for baking vids and... YOU GOTTA BE KIDDIN ME! LOL
I know he is a couple of seasons behind in the master class. And even in the great American baking show where are the master classes for those recipes?
Thanks Paul for this recipe it’s great with curry
This looks so easy. I can’t wait to try! I already make great dips..making the flatbread will make me famous in my family. 😂.
This man has made me want to learn how to make bread i never had much luck with it but he makes it so simple
Make your own bread, it is so satisfying to do and really isn't as hard as you may think. Good luck.
Thanks for this. I made my first flatbread the other day. It was so tough, I could've soled my shoes with it. But watching Paul's demonstration (looks so easy); I'm encouraged! Take 2 coming up!!
Gracias desde Argentina!!
I'll add rosemary to flavour mine. So excited
Am învățat multe din acest videoclip. Mulțumesc. 👏🤗🥰
Going to try this today
thank you for this brilliant recipe. I thought I had some strong white bread flour but I didn't, I had to use spelt flour and it worked perfectly, lovely puffed up flat breads
I made his scones and it came out perfect. Mine used to be always flat and tough
love watchung you bake. good teacher
It is true that you are travelling all over Italy. I am very happy that you visit my country
So easy to make on my first attempt :)
So simply but tasty 😋 Thanks a lot Paul 🤗
As in Greenland where my late mommy used too. I have never tried it here in Denmark where I live. We have same visible veins on our hands 😉
Cosy kitchen by the way 😊
By the way I baked my dark rye breads this morning 😉
Hug from Denmark
Nice presentation 👏
Yummmmm
Interesting this tip with water, to pour it over the remaining flour, all the best in the world great soul!🙏
I am making these, and your process was smoother than mine, but they turned out great! I added a little garlic salt after flipping and it's perfect.
For me, it made 7 flatbreads....also I found it was a little too much water & had to add a little extra flour as dough became a little soggy.
In the Middle East we use an outdoor ovens made of clay and we make big batches of this flatbread and freeze it.
Hi. I love you 😭 thank you for your videos
I've tried many different recipes but yours is by far the best results thank you. I would like to know how make them to stay softer for longer
add some sort of fat: oil, lard etc, then let them steam to finish cooking by putting the cooked breads in some sort of bag/container. the heat will soften them.
Thank you good detailed instructions. Love your BB show. Please share the kind of paper your contestants used to float the doughnuts in the oil. Appreciate your help.
yummms...you make it look so easy...lol
Hi Paul, great informative video. Can ask for your advice on all the different types of flour in UK? Ie - plain flour, self raising flour, strong flour, bread flour, pasta flour,. What’s the difference between baking soda & baking powder when should they be used and for what? I’m sure lots of people would love to see the basics.
I just want to eat it 😍
Lovely💗💗
Your flatbread looks delicious
I could watch that man kneed dough all day long! Looks so delicious!
Thank you💯
oh my god i just fell in love.........and paul hollywood's not bad either
Delish ❤ with some artichoke dip ❤❤
To je kod nas svakodneno
Moja mam je to radila. Obožavam al nemam recept .otprilike. hvala
Its so easy
No fuss just plain simple homemade goodness
Kad je mama radila kruh , to nam je prvo napravila dok se kruh još dizao. Obižavamo svi.. Bravo. To ti je kod nene veliki plus.
What type of flour would you recommend for GF bread?
👏👋PARECE PAN ARABE (PITA) SE VE SENCILLO PREPARARLOS! GRACIAS
I make turkish bread which is very similar to this but I brush on melted butter laced with parsley and red pepper flake.
Yeah the Ottomans destroyed a lot of cultures so they could put their name on it.
@@TenTenJ haha yes
@@TenTenJ although the idea that a flat bread is specific to one region is the strangest thing about that whole argument
كل وصفاتك جميلة
Hi Paul. I tried the blueberry muffins yesterday and I’m wondering if it really is 550grams of plain flour? I ended up needing twice the amount of milk and they turned out heavy , had to turn the oven up to 180C fan forced? Disappointed as I know you are a wonderful baker. Maybe it should have been 350grams? Loving the series. From Australia, thankyou.
Thank's for the info. I was just about to make it..not anymore😂😂
😍
Ok Paul, I made this tonight in a cast iron skillet. I used olive oil in the pan, I tried it so hot it was smoking, and tried it with less heat. I tried them with quite a bit of oil, and some with less oil. They were good, but they definitely took up a lot of the oil and I had a tough time getting the oil temp right. When the oil wasn’t too hot and smoking, they seemed to take too long and not puff so much. Should I have used a higher heat oil? Not used a cast iron skillet? In the past I’ve used a dry skillet...thoughts?
i would personally avoid cooking in oil completely, this is a weird way of cooking flat breads and as you can see from the first one in this video, cooking at a high heat will char the exterior without cooking the actual bread (you can see it is raw dough in several places; it would not have been pleasant to eat). cook medium high heat with cast iron, that will give you the best results.
any idea how to store the dough balls ? Fridge ? Freezer ?
will this work with strong wholemeal flour? i try not to use white refined flour
Flatbread is an art in its own right. Look at what they do in South Asia. Forgive my skepticism but I can only hope this turned out good and not doughy or undercooked in certain parts.
this was awful, as you can see by the fact the first one isn't close to being cooked
Looking good Paul
応援してます😊
👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
Just a couple of questions
Can you freeze these?
Would they be nice & soft enough to use for wraps?
🥰❤❤❤
Uživamo.
I think the secret to making most breads is to not fuss over them. That and 25+ years of experience. I best get started.
Can you use active dry yeast the same way?
That’s what he used
Would it work, freezing the dough balls? It's only me and it would be convenient to have them to hand, plus I imagine making a smaller amount might be problematic. Thanks.
yes you can definitely freeze them just wrap/cover them well to avoid freezdr burn
It's just really great to see why he's judge status. This guy knows what he's talking about.
In the US, we have AP, bread, and cake flour as the most common flours. (Wheat flours also, of course) Not familiar with strong flour, but I would guess he means bread flour.
Dude. That face you made at the end when you ate the flatbread with the Brie. I couldn't help but make the same face and actually grunt. F---g brilliant! So good. And easy. And fast. I practically ate all of them in one sitting. Bastard!!!
Mr. Hollywood, I have a quick question. Can I freeze any uneaten bread that is made?
yes
👏👏👏👏🤝👍
U tom uživamo gidinama A nismo se sjetili staviti sir unutra. To je mama radila kad peče kruh.
There a person posing as this man. I just encounter him. I believe this man is the real man.
Can I freeze any uneaten bread?
Top man. I made some. Success. Nearly as tasty as a Honda 6.?
أنت انسان جميل وانا باحبك ياعزيزي
I wish I could eat regular flour - no gluten for me
Hi did you have to add any sugar to the yeast to activate it please , yours looks a good recipe but I just thought of the sugar
Yeast can get started eating just the flour
@@janetownley something I learned today thankyou happy baking

I'm from the U.S., so strong flour is the same as self-rising flour correct vs plain flour?
no,, strong flour is bread flour
@@zartski What is "bread flour"; I've only ever used the 2.
@@camplife7698 What is another name for bread flour?
Also called gluten flour.
In Canada I would use, all purpose flour. We use it when we make bread so it will work for this.
He explains this in detail at the beginning of the video…. 😊
Could we add potatoes to it like the Hungarians do ?
