We purchased a very nice cabinet with a TV lift about 8 years ago. All went well until our little remote quit working about a month ago. We took the remote to a local place where they put in a new battery. So the remote seems fine, but will not connect to the lift in the cabinet and raise the TV. My husband had to get into the rear of the cabinet and manually open the top cabinet door and then raise the TV using the button inside the cabinet (the one on the lift itself). That works just fine. It's the remote that doesn't seem to work. What could be the problem? If you're not able to help, can you direct us on who to call regarding this problem. We can get the TV down and the top door shuts, but then opening the door and raising the TV using the remote is the problem. All seems to work except the remote. For now the TV is raised until we can fix this problem. Sorry for being so wordy. It's a mystery to us grandparents who don't know a lot about technology.
