To compare for everyone who plans to go forward. This setup with p8r when done right will be over 200-220whp depending setup and parts used and on e85.
I have plans to go this route in about a year.
Current build and tune b20b phk 9:6cr w/ .30 milled head on 91 pump, Crower 403s crower valvetrain, ultra street manifold 70mm tb. Full Ported p75 head using Toda style 4-2-1, 2.5" exhaust with hi flow cat and restricted apexi ws2. I'm probably sacrificing about 8-10 more whp and tq give or take because of the hi flow and apexi. My goals was 180whp on pump and I didn't make it but very happy.
175/146tq...whp peak 7600 while tq peak around 5.5k but carrys it nicely to 7100 with 129tq. I shift at 7200 on gsr trans. Now all I need is a b16/itr 4.4 Trans and I'm finish
I'm sure if I went with e85 or a p8r head ill be in the 195whp or 200whp but that's for future with 13cr block and full port p8r from badguys and I'll change to crower 404s and similar setup. I like keeping things smaller or longer to keep the low-end mid range as my plans are for daily street race so I don't need to Rev to the moon like vtec. I have been there in the past with 3 vtec motors and jrsc and yes they are a beast, but being different on non vtec and most people would think u on vtec but get beat by a non vtec 😆
March 2023 updates: same setup but on e85 am doing roughly 19xwhp on streettuned. Thing rips for sure...
June 2024, have me my p8r head finally been lagging. All I need is to get it fully ported then build the block up with some piston looking for 12.5 cr min. Then add all the goodies back and add the jrsc m62 VTEC kit tune on e85.

Its definitely worth it. I ended up putting scat ha beam rods and nippon p30 pistons in the bottom end of this motor and switching to e85. Car made 210whp/165wtq. There was more in it too, at that point the 70mm tb wasnt cutting it. Unfortunately this car has been sold now though.
