Guangzhou (and indeed many other Chinese state capitals like Beijing and Shanghai) are basically adding 50km of track on average every year, the goal is to have every resident within the metropolitan area being able to access a metro line within walking distance and remove the need for cars altogether. This is very impressive
Basically, USSR 2.0
or alternatively tourist attraction
Beijing is the national capital.
You misspelled average. It starts with an a.

The pace of the development of this system is insane. I remember at a kid when I was excited about them opening the third line. That was probably around 2007. 15 years later they are about to have like 25 lines!? That’s crazy
Since Foshan and Guangzhou are almost one big metropolitan, it would be a great idea to draw them together!
122722 update: foshan line 3 is open! (Zhen'an - Shunde College)
Now it's the same city as Guangfo ❤
Guangfo line is connecting them together
So proud to see this and btw I was born in 1995, I used to take ship to across Zhu River before the first metro built. I can say the metro system has accomplished so much more than I do within these years.

Very impressive system! There're 2 Hualinsi Buddist Temple stations on Line 8. The one on the southern bank of the river should be Tongfuxi station.
I saw that Line 8 problem too. Is that a mistake?
@@casnarrator4043Yes, Because One of the Hualinsi stations is actully called Tongfuxi.
Canton Tower station on Line 3 was originally called Chigang Pagoda as the Canton Tower hadn't been built at the time, the station was only renamed in 2013

I live near Guangzhou but I’m in the US right now and it’s nice to see the metro of Guangzhou grow!
Some info on trains:

Neat visualization! I’m from the neighboring city Shenzhen. Guangzhou metro always gives me an impression of narrow and packed comparing to that of Shenzhen. I used to think a great deal of Guangzhou metro lines were constructed back in the 90s or even 80s. It turns out that most of the lines have a shorter history than I thought. Good thing to know. Looking forward to see the Shenzhen version!
Nono they should merge into one giantic city
Even when they opened in the late 1990 or early 2000 they might had been build some years before
The planning dates back at least a decade before the opening date of the line. Some maybe 2-3 decades in the planning and construction. That being said, there are a few major flaws in the planning, the most notable one being Line 3 with it's short & narrow train. The branch line design also proved to be problematic. Hence Line 10 will take over the Line 3 branch.
I guess you come to hong kong to use yt.

В китайских городах метро так быстро растёт, что за его развитием очень трудно следить. Новые станции открываются чуть ли не каждый месяц. Это видно на примере Гуанчжоу и Шанхая. За работы по истории развития этих метрополитенов отдельное спасибо.

Line 18 and Line 22 are infact more like commuter rail.
I think that lines 18 and 22 are probably first "metro express" lines in the world because they can reach high speeds and skip minor stops

I’m fascinated by your video. Where did you get all these details from? Even a small new-open metro station? So good!
You can get all information from videos talking about Chinese cities metro system in Chinese platforms. Or also by using Google..
Chinese Wikipedia has quite detailed information about metros in large cities. Seems that there are some railway lovers there.

The English station names until 2006 are named by Chinese Pinyin, like Xi Lang (Xilang), Chen Jia Ci (Chen Clan Academy), Zhong Da (Sun Yat-Sen University), Guang Zhou Huo Che Zhan (Guangzhou Railway Station), etc.

Central government started to strictly restrict the construction of metro recent years since the increasing debt. Many extension plans and new metro line plans in Chinese cities were cut, so the local governments have to replan or terminate the construction in some cases.
И при этом всём первая жёлтая линия не была продлена за станцией Ксилендж)

The Guangzhou metro and Foshan metro have been connected. Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan and Shenzhen will be connected. A huge metro network of four city. Expecting!!!!
Will HK's MTR be integrated too? Also they should make it through service with the high speed railways.
@@andro7862Shenzhen Huanggang Port has reserved space for MTR, but no construction schedule.
@@andro7862 Depends on your definition of "integration". My home district is Shatin(HK) but I have an appartment in Futian(SZ). Before the checkpoint locked up, I took MTR east line to my SZ appartment with only 35 minutes. The two system are kind of connected at Lo_Wu Station and Lok_Mak_Jou/Futain Station - although you need to walk ~10 min to cross the border among stations.
It’s healing to watch, considering the convenience the Metro brings to Guangzhou people.

148 новых станций построить за 2-3 года по-моему не реально даже для китайцев, хотя с 2018 по 2021 они построили только 50 новых станций, это всё равно круто.
