@@johnpoteat9774 You are right but I always liked the 11/16" or 3/4" cove molding better. Looks different and more finished to me. Don't know why more people don't use it.
Wow, Wow, Wow, you and your father have done absolutely Amazing Restoration job on your 1973 GMC Motorhome! I cannot wait until the next episode to see what you accomplish next on your Motorhome! Well done to both You and Your Father!😊
Heck yeah! Getting a donor is better than buying all the pieces separately. I converted a 6V beetle to 12V using a trashed donor beetle I got for $150. I sold parts off it and sold what was left to the junkyard. I actually made money off that deal
I just bought a 1986 ford Travelcraft RV. And am starting to do the same thing. I’m definitely gonna need a new roof but I’m just ripping all the interior out. I’m keeping the fridge, stove, bathtub and 2 sinks. But other than that everything else is coming out. I didn’t even think about wrecked campers. That’s smart for the materials you reused! I’ll keep that in mind!
Michael, in my eyes, you and Dad are amazing in using your down-to-earth skills to restore this old American relic! Can't wait to see the family on the first camping trip!
You're both doing an awesome job, and more importantly, the energy you exude when working together is so soothing to watch. Father and son, good buddies having a nice time together. Truly inspiring!
For someone who insists they don`t know what your doing I would love to see what you can do when you do ! better than any factory fit classiest GMC on the road when your done excellent work .
This RV is the coolest thing ever! The hard work is paying off. Especially when you hand the kids the house, and you and the miss ride off into the sunset with it knowing exactly what its bones are. It's awesome and I'm in.
This channel has come such a long way from what it started out as.. Congrats, you and your dad are doing a remarkable job on that Camper, and all you other projects.
Such a great job you are doing 950 for that broken camper was the best 950 ever spent I think for all the great stuff it is giving you for this thing I would think once done you can strip off the camper top from the chassis and make yourself a trailer from the chassis and have a double win Fantastic Michael and dad 😍😍😍🇦🇺
Ok, you two are starting to look too much alike where we can’t tell who’s who. One of y’all needs to distinguish yourself from the other. Maybe a “wild thing” haircut from “major league” or something…lol. Always enjoy your videos. Thank you for doing what you do!!
Ah come on I treat it as I spy game ….which one is it …is that the dad or is that the son….and if their wearing similar color shirts just forget about it 😊
Quick painters tip....If you're going to use tape as a means for a finished edge, use green frog tape instead of that cheap blue tape. Frog tape doesn't bleed on the edge. 👍
Can't wait to see the living room couch bed and the bed mattress in back room installed Rv washer and spin dryer combo a must very cheap on eBay $75 to $130 they work great 👍
Michael, you often comment that neither you nor your dad “know what you’re doing” i.e. not professionals, but you do a mighty fine job nevertheless, each episode on this motor home rejuvenation is an absolute joy to watch 👍👏🙂
Awesome work and it looks great. Thank you for taking us along on this project. I always look forward to your next video, on this or other projects. Keep having fun and I look forward to the video of your family going on their first adventure in this RV.
Excellent video Budget Buildz Mike :) , your dad are making looks like full Restoration to 1973 GMC Motorhome and so nice work both did too in parts plus big time steps!
Well I’ve learned alot. Thanks for sharing every bit of this. What a blast this will be for your family and them knowing that dad and grandpa did it. Bravo
Fantastic, nicely done boys! Came to this channel for 911s and old junk cars... now I'm loving watching carpentry and plumbing? Whatever... keep the awesome work coming!
Amazing! That motorhome is coming along rapidly - would love to see the cj5 cleaned up! And that Mercedes 280sl in the background is such a tease, yer killing me!
I haven't been subscribed to the channel for long, but after stumbling across you guys after watching Vice Grip Garage, Dylan McCool Junkyard Digs etc, you guys are quickly becoming the favourite. What you do with all of the old cars you rescue is amazing. How you just use what you have is brilliant. In the UK we just don't seem to have access to the 70s and 80s cars of my youth as they are out of reach for most people on pricing. The way you guys are so informative and also so humble in your approach to fixing these forgotten gems is such a breath of fresh air. Getting the whole family involved as well is a joy to see. Thank you fellas for doing this and putting out these great videos.
I have been following you from the beginning you have really expanded your abilities to make and over come any thing you want to do. And thanks to your dad with his guidance you have really grown great job !
That camper has turned out great. I can’t believe you done such a good job. You really are doing it right. Anyone would be proud to own it and you should be very proud and Dad too.
I know you could of found another motor home cheaper with less remolding, but restoring this antique is more satisfying knowing that you did it your way.
You can usually swap the hinge sides on those fridges. Would be much more usable if the doors opened the other way. 👍🏻
I came to make the same comment. Also a little quarter round tacked to the bottom of the cabinets will hide those paint bleeds on the new floor.
Yep, it would be much better opening the other way.
Yes. Do it. Your life in the kitchen will be better for it.
Too bad about all the dents in the freezer door.😕

Ain’t it true
That $100 butcher block counter top with the sealant coating looks amazing!

We really do appreciate that!! 😃 We can’t wait to share more! Thanks! 😊
Youre doing a great job, buying the damaged camper was an inspired move.
Thank you!! 😃
How did you find the “totaled”trailer deal?
Heck yeah! Getting a donor is better than buying all the pieces separately. I converted a 6V beetle to 12V using a trashed donor beetle I got for $150. I sold parts off it and sold what was left to the junkyard. I actually made money off that deal
I think he said they bought it from CoPart...they sell wrecked vehicles and such for cheap.
@@shawnderrick1952thank you.

Stayed for the random Motorhome rebuild.

Great job, amazing transformation of the kitchen area, 🤝 well done gentlemen! 👍
Michael, you and Dad are doing an awesome job. I say the outside still looks original. Let the inside be as modern and comfy as you want!

Yea, i sub’d for this project specifically.
All I can say it's beautiful you all have done a wonderful job great video enjoy watching keep up the great work
Looks great! What you're doing is far better than the current state of RV construction. They are mostly just cheap, glued together junk nowadays...
This thing is so great! Crazy how much value you guys got out of the copart camper. So blessed to be able to work with your dad. God bless!
One of my favorite jobs when I was an RV tech was custom cabinets. Unfortunately most people didn't want to pay for that particular skill

I have also Impressed myself with pocket holes. Yeah I used a kit. Still Impressive
You're bringing back a classic motorhome from the nearly dead with family. That's a win in my book

Love it yall are really making a 70s motor home modern but with some retro
Great talking with you guys this week. I hope to see that finished in time for Helen next year. Would be awesome to see that at the campsite.
The $900 spent on that wrecked trailer is money very well spent!
It’s turning out amazing!
I bet a "dent doctor" could flatten that fridge door like new. Love the project.
I use my Kreig jig all the time, great choice!
Nice to see, father and son who have the same passion and work so well together, I love it, greetings from Belgium
Look fantastic guys! Fridge door need wrapping to hind dents. Coolest RV I've ever seen.

Great looking product guys!! Nice work. It’s coming along nicely.
When I built the interior of my camper those pocket drills and screws were the best thing ever! So easy to use and keep joints square etc.
Looking Schmick!
Happy trails, Cowpokes
Loving this build. I hope you don't regret not leaving a removable joint in the plumbing drains.
Wow that counter top is gorgeous! The whole kitchen is. Nice job you guys!
