Dressing up as one of the Blues brothers for the test drive, that was class. I would daily drive it, new vinyl top, maybe some paint touch ups and that would be the perfect daily driver.

I have a 02 firebird v6, & I cut a rectangle panel out of my car an the pump came out easy. Also don't forget to install a new fuel filter inwhich I did.😊

Why you don't wear nitrile gloves for your blood stream protection is beyond believe. Waste diesel oil and diesel fuel are the worst for you. Love VW diesel 👍

Wonderful save!! Fellow Formal C-Body Mopar owner here, and that old gal is pristine!! Touch up the blue in some spots, and finish other items like the top, interior, emblems, etc, and she'll be a gorgeous Monaco Custom!! I own a 77 Royal Monaco sedan, not the hardtop like yours, and I must say these Formal years are something special for the C-Body. 74-77 were the production years, and the Monaco Custom came before the transition to Royal Monaco in 75. Fantastic cars to drive and they're pretty reliable. Only thing these cars have against them is that you can't get replacement parts through AMD and Classic Industries, so thankfully yours doesn't need a complete restoration (I had to give mine a resto). I'm in the process of getting some 74 Monaco parts from OK to replace what little 74 Fury parts I have left to swap on my front clip, then mine will have the correct year and model appearance for the movie. I will upload some vids in the near future to make a collage of the many months of progress I made on my car to bring her to the "completed" stage aside from some minor door and interior work as well as the mighty 500hp 440 swap I have planned for this car to replace the original and very tired and sad 360. Looking forward to seeing future episodes with your 74 Monnie!!!

Remove that boat anchor A/C compressor, bracket and hoses. It aint going to work and you'll eliminate about 12 lbs of krap. Exciting revival 👍

That tractor was run all of its life on "non detergent" oil. It does not hold dirt, sludge, etc in "suspension" like detergent oil does. The dirt settles to the bottom of the pan and does not drain out with the oil. That is why Daddy said to only drain oil from a hot engine. That is how the dirt got remixed with the oil and was drained out. Everything today is run on "detergent" oil. No matter how long an engine sits, you can pull the dipstick and because the detergent oil is holding the dirt in suspension the oil will appear dirty. That means the detergent oil is doing its job.

Our F-20 had two piece spark plugs. The top and bottom would unscrew making it easier to clean them with a pocket knife.

Yes, this is a low-mileage solid car. It deserves to live. Most are putting front disc brakes on V8 cars that will be driven at freeway speeds. A dual reservoir master cylinder with a split system is a good idea. On this good car channel they are not afraid to buy new parts and replace stuff.

A Turbo-400 is a heavy-duty 3-speed auto trans for big block V8s in GM vehicles. What engine does it have? Keep working on this car. It is a "keeper."

I want to watch all 11 or 12 parts of the GMC motorhome. Dunno why, but CZcams is not letting me do it. Part One, then Part 5? Part Five, then Part 9? Come on, man. Why should I synch it all up manually? This is 2024. We put a man on the moon in 1969.

I've done my share of brakes, but there were times I got the shoe installing confused. Then I thought of my wife--big in the back. Yes, the car stops, and with my big-back wife in the passenger seat.

Wow, I learn something everyday, especially here--what was with the wannabe chrome crap on those door mouldings, that just peeled off? Yeah, I know it's age, exposure, and the base metal superimposed. Chromium and steel just get along, period. Pot metal, aluminum, and lower grades of stainless, with chrome, have a limited life time. Alot of mettalurgy and chemistry going on. Mike stripping that wannabe chrome crap down to the grey metal (I'm assuming aluminum?) was a good choice. Shine it, brush it, treat it. Done right, it looks great AND done so on an intelligent budget.

Awesome ride. I have a 68 Galaxie, Police Interceptor, former "undercover" detective's unit. I love these old Galaxies, civilian and police. Kinda a joke, yes, I'm no comedian...That 61 has a 390 Z-code. But with all the wild animals, like mice, in her, shoulda been a 390 Pee-code.

This was a killer revival! I did the same thing on my 68 Galaxie Police Interceptor. All the work, the love, and dedication. Yeah, I don have one complaint: being multipart, these shoulda been titled with "Part One, Part Two,'" etc. Yes, the thumnails do differ, but some of us could not tell, becuase the main titles were all the same throughout. In a multi-part-multi-chapter series like this, do the titelization, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.. Some of we older gearheads are only working with halfa brain..

What kind of bottle do you have to spray the fuel

I used heavy duty red rubbing compound to remove the dull paint then use a good wax with several layers the paint should come back, if not you will need to sand and repaint the car. I did this on an old pontiac it worked well.
