While of course, having some fun along the way! I hope you all enjoy! Huge thank you to the folks that helped us get the car out of its resting place! Thank you as always for the Love and Support! What I ❤ about this father and son team is the sincere interest and appreciation for these cars.
It's not a 'will it run and drive 1000 miles home' instead It's about getting the car back to their yard, then off the trailer for a thorough going over.
Methodically and with attention to the details so that by the conclusion of the vlog/story we see what they saw when they first laid eyes on it.
    What a classic duo.🎉
Much love and respect for them from a man whom loves all classic motor vehicles and enjoys remembering how they were then and in this case something like 50 years on after decades of neglect seeing what can be with attention to the details here and now, look at this classic today.❤😃🎉

I bought a white sedan like that in the 90s for $150 ! It was a former state patrol car with a 440. It had 2 ends of an extension cord coming out the dash you had to plug together to give the ignition power before you turned the key. It also didnt have any carpet and the floors got hot ! I sold it to a friend who had it over heat on them because the thermostat stuck shut so we took a bolt and jammed the thermostat open to get it home where the tools were at. Fun times as a teenager ! Those Dodge Monaco's were such nice cars. My neighbor bought a brand new Dodge Monaco station wagon in 1974 and I remember it being such a nice quiet car and nice ride - I was in elementary school then and the mom was part of the car pool - so I was in that car frequently. I remember is being so nice and had a great new car smell - those Chrysler products had a certain new car smell for the time and I still have a smell memory that takes me back to the 70's - yes that was a great decade.

Wonderful save!! Fellow Formal C-Body Mopar owner here, and that old gal is pristine!! Touch up the blue in some spots, and finish other items like the top, interior, emblems, etc, and she'll be a gorgeous Monaco Custom!! I own a 77 Royal Monaco sedan, not the hardtop like yours, and I must say these Formal years are something special for the C-Body. 74-77 were the production years, and the Monaco Custom came before the transition to Royal Monaco in 75. Fantastic cars to drive and they're pretty reliable. Only thing these cars have against them is that you can't get replacement parts through AMD and Classic Industries, so thankfully yours doesn't need a complete restoration (I had to give mine a resto).
I'm in the process of getting some 74 Monaco parts from OK to replace what little 74 Fury parts I have left to swap on my front clip, then mine will have the correct year and model appearance for the movie. I will upload some vids in the near future to make a collage of the many months of progress I made on my car to bring her to the "completed" stage aside from some minor door and interior work as well as the mighty 500hp 440 swap I have planned for this car to replace the original and very tired and sad 360.
Looking forward to seeing future episodes with your 74 Monnie!!!

Interior color has blue cloth brocade seats with split bench, power seat with recliner, rear window defogger, power windows, power locks, air conditioning, road wheels and other options. Even if they look good on the outside I’ve found that if the rubber brake lines are more than about 25 years old they’re likely junk. The brake juice just eats them from the inside out and they get all swollen and gummy. Just got done replacing EVERY brake line on a 72 Monte Carlo and the soft lines were more like play-doh than rubber 🤣

Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ you're on a mission from God to save every classic derelict car out there 👍 I Love The blues Brothers vibe. For sitting as long as it did I'm amazed that looks and runs as great as it does. That car certainly is a keeper. Your kids seem to be on board. Keep up the good work guys and the awesome content ✌️🇺🇲

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

The amount of debris in the air when that thing kicked off was ridiculous! 🤣 should have had paw standing behind you with a leaf blower or something! Great vid 👍

Never ever EVER would I have EVER thought that (Back in my youth days of the 1980's-90's) a 1974 Four Door Dodge Monaco would be something anyone anywhere would want to "save" or "Customize" LOL. Just amazing what can happen with a bit of time. Okay yes I see it now, not so much of a 440 Blues Mobile (I didn't remember that Dodge made a 400CI back in the day) but on the outside it will do the job LOL. Besides as one of the children wisely stated "It's more comfortable than Mommy's car". Yes kids, Yes it is!! LOL!

I alway enjoy your channel. You and your dad have so much respect for the cars. Oil changes and cleanups, not like some of the other guys. Keep it up!

Another amazing resurrection guys, and another "one" with amazing potential. I think this one is destined to be such a cool cruiser. The shirt, tie, hat & sunglasses works perfectly with this one. Smiling ear to ear here. I hope this stuff never gets old for you fellas; we sure do appreciate what you bring to us! Cheers!

Wow! Awesome revive! Monacos are getting harder to find now and I agree don't hack it up. Keep the blue and restore it back to its original glory. For Bluesmobile cosplay I believe you get some temporary wrap for the car and then hand paint the details on it. When you're done you can just peel it off buff out the residue and its back to normal.
