This video never gets old. If I wanna good laugh, I just replay this video. I have to watch it a few times over, 'cause once DeNiro says "M'Balz Es Hari", I can't hear anymore.
+John Bouras - now, after the 10th time watching it, i can hold it until awan afuqya ;-)
Truly agree. If you want an alternative check this out if you haven’t seen it yet.

@@prashanthyadamala3422 Atkinson is brilliant, this is also very funny. czcams.com/video/Ut116mBuPpg/video.html
YES!!! I totally agree!
Facing such a tragedy such as 911 was so hard for all of us - but we overcame the blow, dealt with the sadness and healed the best we could. The ability to heal was helped out tremendously with what we just watched - I visit this all the time and laugh so hard... and continue to heal. Peace all.
I don't think DeNiro ever laughs, he just thinks: that's funny
That's true. He only laughs in his movie roles, and even then only ironically, right before he does something violent.
@@epictetusofhierapolis4461 that’s what makes him the best
🤣🤣
@208 Joker Like i am clown? I amuse you ????
He has an especially creepy laugh in Cape Fear. Which is jarring because he was laughing at Problem Child.
How does this video NOT have more views? It was De Niro’s first time hosting and they got him to do a sketch like THIS?? This was iconic!
De Niro didn't even mess up in that one !! Perfect
It's not his first time doing this bit. He have done this one on SNL right after US invaded Afganistan
"Is there a way to identify Huus Bin Farteen?" LOL 😂😂😂
We have picked up his scent.🤣😂🤣🤣
I been farteen. Wife just kicked me out of the room
how did he do it with a straight face ..LOL ..epic
How did he do this without laughing? Brilliant man, this never gets old.
Amen..I broke out laughing
It's DeNiro. He could literally read all the lyrics to Lady Marmalade in that same voice and still not crack up unless the director demands he laugh.
He trained at Actors Studio. This wasn’t his first time on a stage.
Unbelievable how he got through this with out laughing or breaking character. Take that Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz.
Fallon ruins every skit. (e.g.. more cowbell) He chuckled in this one too! How is he still in showbusiness!? Hack!
@@joediver7669 oh shut up, tightwad.
you can't compare the two, one is a long running cast member, the other is Robert De Niro.
Take THAT, bobhess.
@@joediver7669 jimmy Fallon isn't in this skit...
@@psabel73 yes he is, he is the 2nd reporter
De Niro is such a professional and talented actor, one of the "silent" ones. He didn't even scream - like most people - when he said "live from New York ...". On the other hand, no one would expect that from him.
Maybe it is his "aura" of dignity - or calmness.
Scorsese nudged him towards this style typical of middle & late-phase of JEAN GABIN
Too bad he’s a douche.
I challenge any other actor from Hollywood to say all that with a straight face.
nonh1 child's play for Leslie Neilsen
Sylvestor stallone
Yeah, HOW did he keep a straight face???
Robert de Niro didn't have a straight face the first time he did this bit in early 2000. He was cracking up constantly reading those names.
Christopher Walken! No doubt!!
To this day one of the best skits ever on SNL
Love Horatio Sanz’s mugshot as M’bolz Es-hari
My favorite opening to this day.
Di Nero is really an extraordinary talented actor.
one of the best cold openings evah
This is my favorite SNL bit ever!
Colonel Angus ftw. THIS though is my second favorite
@@Wodz30 The skit about the cork soakers is right up there too.
@@Wodz30 Christopher Walken was great fir that one and the cowbell skit. Love em both.
A masterful performance by De Niro. How he kept a straight face through it all is amazing.
I still think this is one of the best SNL opening skits ever. How he managed to keep a straight face is beyond me.
All those name and can still keep a straight face!
This skit along with "The Corksoakers" skit will always cheer you up and get the laughs going!
Omg! How DeNiro did this skit w/o falling over crack up laughing is beyond me!
I laughed so hard I'zheet M'drurz.
"I hope I got that right." 😁😁It was like he finally realized those names sounded somewhat familiar.
3:45 he nearly looses it :-)
Ever laugh so hard where your brain doesn't get enough oxygen so you feel like passing out? Just me, huh?
Oh yes, I have so many times in the past. Hysterically laughing.!
Just now lol
Childish, insensitive, outrageous… hilarious. SNL will never have the balls to anything like that again.
True classic
I saw this live when I was 13. Never laughed so hard in my life
Not true, last season. The super spreader event at the name change bureau. Look it up.
@@brandong4063 it’s true. This has racial overtones, the new ones don’t.
I read that in Jackie Chile's voice from Seinfeld.
I would say it's not insensitive. Pretty clearly the butt of the joke is not Muslims having stupid names. The butt of the joke is our absurd response to 911.
This is a classic. One of my favorites ...
I am in tears 😭 this is my humour 💃
Deniro's best role: Craig Fenson by far, and I really , really like his other work too. How he got through that live without even a grin is beyond me.
I bet the writers had a lot of fun with this one
Laughed so hard, my abs are ripped.
I don’t know what’s funnier, the names of the terrorists, De Niro trying not to laugh at the names, or the photos of Horatio Sans, Chris Parnell and Seth Meyers with the photoshopped beards and turbans?
Don't know how he kept a straight face.
I just watched this for the first time and was not expecting to find this that funny 😂 the moment he said “M’balz es-hari” I spit 😂😂😂
I-zheet M’drurz is where I broke. 🤣
my face is hurting
haha your name sounds like one of those in the skit
Still one of the best..can't stop laughing
I couldn't stand laughing throughout the entire video
He is a legend, how in the fuck, did he do that whole skit, with a straight face, I would lost it hahahahaha
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... NEVER GETS OLD. LOL. M'Balz Es Hari....I almost couldn't breath from laughing so hard.
I don’t know what’s funnier, DeNiro’s reaction after reading the name, or the image of Horatio Sanz with the photoshopped mustache.
Awan Afuqya!
ahahhahaah
Hysterical! A friend sent this to me only recently. It's right up there with the Colonel Angus skit!
Colonel Angus, yes!
I don't think people realize how hard this was to do considering 20 people in front of him were probably laughing at every name
This was one of the funniest intros for me, the only intro I ever remembered since watching snl over 20 years ago
4:35 "What have I sunk to?!"
Oh yeah, there's regret there...
Always funny...love Di Niro's comedy.
The way he said “yu ssssssssuqua m’diq” cracked me up
Hillarious!
This will never get old.
This is just perfect! Such a great actor Bob is! What a straight face! Ahahahahaha! What a classic from snl!
One if my top 10 fav skits of all time on snl
2:22 subtle he was trying to hide his light chuckle with that pause
Never seen this before , hysterical.
My all time favorite skit! Brilliant! Lmfao.
Only Bobby DeNiro could've done that. He was thinking about strangling a kitten all the while.
One of SNL's best ever.
Hahahaha thats so badass. Brilliant sketch.
at 3:46 he showcased his experience in not breaking character... :)
Hands down the greatest cold opening of all time
This always creases me up. So impressed with the way he never even smirks.
Never gets old!
Sill amazed how De Niro could keep a fairly strait face during the routine....
Housbeen Farteen!😂😂😂😂😂
One one the best of the best of the best skits!!!!
Robert De Niro is priceless in this😂😂
one of the funniest SNL sketches ever! So g'damn funny!
My mom had a friend who worked back stage at SNL so he used to take her back stage with him and she got to meet some of the people that were on the show and this night my mom was there talking to Robert De Niro right before he went on
I wish I could've been in the writers' office when the first person said "Hey! I got an idea," and just watch it all get put together.
Simply the best!
Always spot On satire.
The Threat level is Magenta, Hahahahahahahaha 😀🌶️⚡!!!
Between this skit, the Alec Baldwin Schweddy Balls, and the Dusty Muffin with Betty White, I don't know how they get through it, without losing it. I wouldn't be able to get through the first minute without laughing.
This & musicians for free range chickens get me every time
How DeNiro kept a straight face shows what a great actor he is
Robert De Niro is my favorite actor because he acted very well in comedies for a long time.
How could he do that with a straight face??
Thinking of strangling of the writers
I-zheet M'drurz - amazingly funny! xD
Oh my God this is a banger😂😂😂😂😂😂
Epic. when SNL used to be fun.
Oh to be in the writers room when it came time to pitch names.
can't stop laughing
I think there's few people commenting on here that may have slightly misunderstood the joke. One of the first points made is the threat level and that they're not even sure what it means. Then they go on to say that the information they've received is from a bunch of collage kids. So I'm seeing it as a joke about how paranoid this situation has become, were a government is prepared to take seriously any information they receive, no matter who it's from or how obviously immature and ridiculous it is because of people's fear of one another. It's a really funny sketch and it makes you think.
10 years on and still has me in stitches. SNL could never get away with it in 2023.
De Niro aged like crazy from 1995 to 2000
Like a fine wine.
Still hot as ever!
Uff
Still so funny!
I was thinking about this yesterday (9/11) thank god I was alone because I started giggling
"Not available in my country"? I guess Hawai'i isn't part of America.
It’s barely a part of the same state, just a smatter of islands.

APUL MADEEK-AOUD 😂
Awesome!
This was the first comedy sketch that I loved, but I was 9 years old. My favorite part was the magenta intro.
How did he NOT 😂
He is too good.
who's here after the Edth Puthie name changing skit?
Magenta 😂😂😂👌
Now this is very funny 😁
The M´DIQ dude has his own show ...
I am gonna put this on replay....
I just realized that Judd Apatow is trying to steal Robert de Niro's middle age look.
Brilliant
This is classic!!!! :D :D :D
Shaif Hirboush!!!!!!!!! Al-suq akweer!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
