  • Brutal bosses, soul-crushing cultures, poisonous people - if you don’t personally have workplace trauma from issues like this, you may be surprised how many of your friends and colleagues can share nightmare stories of their own. According to a Gallup report, 7 out of 10 US workers are either going through the motions or hate their jobs. Drs. Gary Chapman and Paul White help men and women recognize toxic work environments and understand how they affect them mentally, emotionally and spiritually. They also address the impact it has on their families. They equip listeners to establish healthy boundaries, as well as empower them if they need to leave harmful jobs.

This was definitely me about 12-15 years ago when I was still working retail at a big box retailer here in the midwest. The environment there effected my home life to where my first marriage ended in divorce and my second marriage was showing cracks plus it was effecting my health. So glad I took a leap of faith and left for a factory job. Better hours, better pay, appreciative supervisors and a fun group of coworkers who make me think my clock is broken given how fast the day goes by. Plus I now have Sunday mornings off so I can serve on my church's tech team.

The weight of my career is constantly on my head/heart. I don’t feel like I ever get to rest, weekends/holidays/recitals…. Always work problems and concerns right there practically front and center. It’s exhausting and depressing

Well... didn't really answer for me the issues faced by people who run a small business. That has a whole other level when your spouse is your coworker, and you can't really afford to hire... No one can solve all our problems besides Jesus. Trusting that he has a plan, but the stres levels can be intense. Only watched partway because it seems to be shortsighted.
