What a flick this was from Jordan Peele. Good to see Daniel Kaluuya again and Steven Yeun and also Keith David. Jordan Peele really let things breathe in this one. It was very interesting in this film to see him take on a UFO/Alien of sorts. Really digging Jordan Peeles vision on these movies. Really looking forward to what he will tackle next.
After the mysterious death of his father on their California ranch, OJ Haywood (Daniel Kaluuya) tries to keep the business of providing Hollywood with trained animals going. However, he doesn't have the gift of gab that his father had, so his sister Emerald (Keke Palmer) returns to help out and keep the ranch afloat. While staying at the ranch, supernatural occurrences affecting human and animal behavior begin to be noticed by the siblings.
Although OJ was told that his father died of debris falling from a plane, he and Emerald begin to believe that their father's death is related to a giant cloud-like UFO appearing in the sky that shuts down the power. They go buy cameras with back-up batteries in order to capture proof of its existence on camera, where they get help from tech salesman Angel Torres (Brandon Perea). They also convince documentarian Antlers Holst (Michael Wincott) to join them in their investigation, because he uses cameras that are powered by being wound by hand, like old fashioned Hollywood cameras.

I love this movie, one of the best with a lot of symbolism. It's like JAWS and Jurassic Park but with Monster Alien. No humans can tame wild animals. Not at all. It's a warning for everyone. People still won't learn anything from bad experiences.
The Northman please.
Thanks for reacting, also looking at your title, reminded me of a movie Dont look up, that would love a reaction to it.
I really enjoyed this movie even though it felt a little hollow with Steven Yeun's character and why he did what he did. Just felt like his presence wasn't explained quite enough but besides that the movie was awesome. Totally original, very suspenseful with a very menacing antagonist and I loved the fact that Peele decided to do a creature feature, it felt like the next logical step in his directing career. This movie felt like a mix of Tremors meets Signs with a dash of Quiet Place and it hit every note well enough. Daniel Kaluuya is great as usual and it's also awesome to see Canadian Michael Wincott back it front of the camera.
@@odinsahn7648Steven yeun’s character was the one who brought the creature to somewhat civilization! His whole reasoning was the idea of wanting to take control of a spectacle, to be in the spotlight again like his childhood days being in film. He also got HUGE attention after the Gordy incident, and he wanted to have that again. He naively thought that since Gordy didn’t attack him, he had a special connection with dangerous creatures, like the “aliens in the spaceship.” His character is honestly the most important, at least story wise, without him and his background with Gordy there wouldn’t be a movie! Sorry if this isn’t what you meant regarding Yeun’s character :)
Oak, you weren't wrong about what Gordy's story meant. the entire theme of the movie is about spectacle and how human beings will do almost anything to either create a spectacle, be a part of a spectacle, or capitalize on one. Jupe thought that he had a special connection with Gordy because he was the only one who survived the attack, but in reality it was because he never looked Gordy directly in the eyes (his eyes were covered by the tablecloth). ever since then, he felt he had a special connection with animals and thought he could have a connection with Jean Jacket in the same way. he was wrong and he and 40 people paid the price for it. great reaction guys! ❤
It took me a while to realize that's why he chose "OJ" as the main character's name. The spectacle around him.
@@mattb7479 I don't understand. What's with the name OJ?
@@mattb7479 what's that got to do with OJ?
@@KayaaaaDe This movie is all about spectacle. OJ's trial was THE spectacle of its time. Every single person glued to their screen to determine the outcome. The fact that you can't hear the name OJ without thinking of OJ Simpson.
I never considered the parallels between Gordy and the Alien
they've mentioned in interviews that jean jacket isn't an alien but actually an animal native to planet earth, which makes it even more terrifying
I saw a video examining this. The video speculated that Jean Jacket may have come from the area just above the clouds but below the point of leaving the earth's atmosphere.
The design of Jean Jacket comes from Jordan having conversations with scientists who study sea life. If you think of it, the creature had a jellyfish type shape once it fully unveiled itself. I appreciate Jordan conceiving a creature that was dangerous and scary, but not visually hideous.
@@jesushateswood yea it definitely moved as if it was swimming through the sky which was always very cool
@underablackgaze I have not seen that info about Jordan studying sea life, but I know he watches anime/ read manga because that bike slides scene it has to be out of Akira. If that's the case, and he is familiar with Japanese anime, alien life as sea like creatures is quite common for them, and maybe that help him in conceptualizing JJ.
@@gillyS0L3yep, Jordan said in an interview he purposely put in the "akira slide" lmao, looked sick
@ricelad8664 apparently Jordan peele was supposed to direct a live action Akira, but I haven't heard anything about it in a long time
Peele worked with a zoologist and marine biologist to create Jean Jacket. Jean Jackets first form is based on a sand dollar. The second form is based on a jelly fish. The clicking noises JJ was making was a kind of echolocation. The scientists who helped him actually published a paper and named him Occulonimbus edoequus.
Also they based the design off an orchid flower too.
The final form was also inspired by Evangelion Angels. Which is fitting that the character named Angel got him to transform, those things were probably what early humans interpreted as biblical angels.
Occulonimbus: Eye/seeing cloud. Very fitting name for a creature so inspired by a film camera, furthering the ideas of hollywood exploitation of tragedy.
Another inspiration was a type of hypothetical space ship called a Solar Sailing Ship. it would use massive, but super light sails to travel thru space on the solar winds. its also consider a possible means of propulsion for space born life forms. in fact, Jean Jacket's final form bears a resemblance to such a craft, called the Bajoran Light ship, from star trek Deep Space 9.
I think the blood on the house thing happened because of the decoy horse. JJ was obviously being fed horses before, so it just thought it was another one, and then it couldn't digest it, so the decoy was probably blocking the entire tract. Therefore the parkgoers afterward couldn't be fully processed either. It finally had to kick everything out in order to get the decoy out, hence why it started avoiding Lucky as soon as OJ let the flags loose -- from then onward, JJ knows it will get hurt if it eats horses that do that. "That is a dangerous, not-tasty horse. Deuces."
I think it ate the parkgoers because JJ wanted to mark the Heywood Ranch. It intentionally overate, made itself sick over the house, and then spat the decoy at the truck it recognized from earlier.
@@mrrobotreads also a cool theory!
It’s pretty typical for animals to mark their territory with fluids - some use blood :)
22:51 After Gordy exits his rampage, he signs to Young Ricky, "What happened family?"
ooooohhhhhhhhhhh. Thank you for this!
Why do people keep claiming this? That's not the sign for family at all.
Whatever Jordan Peele’s thought process is when he’s coming up with new movie ideas is working, all of the man’s movies have been amazing. Just the new ways he finds to not really even make things scary, but just tense and unnerving, this movie gave me so much anxiety watching it the first time, I loved it!
Bro what were you watching this movie was fucking awful
Agreed
He's really great but the alien in this movie definetely was a racist lol
He reminds me of Hideo Kojima and I'm so glad they finally met each other. Both of them have incredible minds and will leave you saying "WTF" every time lol
Man that digestive scene is one of my favorites horror scenes in a while. Claustrophobic inducing and horrific all at once
That scene gave me nightmares for a solid week.
Fun fact about Brandon Perea! Jordan Peele had written the character of Angel as just a one-off, another random like the motorcycle guy who was gonna get killed. But when Perea did his audition, he played the character in a totally different way from how Jordan Peele wrote him. Peele loved his performance so much that he rewrote the entire script so that Angel would have a much more significant part in the story and further the themes.
I swear the handshake always gets me, because it really is the MOST emotion he showed in the movie. I can't help but smile for him 😂😂😂
I have a few bits of interesting info.
If you felt oddly weird about the sound of the ppl screaming in Jean Jacket, its because they had the actors scream as if they were terrified and also as if they were on a roller coaster and mashed the sounds together.
Also Jupe and Gordy has a interesting underlying story you really have to grasp at. Because of what happened with Gordy, Jupe thought he was pretty much invincible, that he could tame any beast... what he didnt take into account was the table cloth was actually just covering his eyes so Gordy wasnt threatened by him. Thats why Jupe thought he could tame Jean Jacket but he never stopped to think why Gordy didnt attack him logically. If you pay attention to that scene he was 2 seconds from being mauled because he had just made eye contact.
Heh, that's funny you mention him thinking he's invincible when the actor of Jupe, Steven Yeun, went on to voice Invincible.
This movie was a damn spectacle. Fully get the comparisons to early Spielberg work. Jordan Peele, you just keep doing what you're doing.
I love how this movie went from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" to an episode of "Neon Genesis Evangelion"
Yes😅
Leonardo, Neon Genesis Evangelion was actually one of the inspirations of the film
The Gordy part was about trying to tame a wild animal and forgetting how dangerous chimps are. Then, Jupe tried to do the same thing with Jean Jacket.
Jordan just has that magic sauce man. He is extremely talented behind a camera. That shot looking up at the house and sky as blood rains down on them... that is nightmare fuel. And his whole "nope" and getting back in the car.. perfection. And the chemistry between the brother and sister is just so spot on. it feels so real.
Just realized it, but because the rider guy's helmet was reflective it basically acted like the metal spheres that freaked out the horses when they saw themselves. Besides the bike incident, looking or not, he didn't stand a chance
The kids dressing up aliens was genius that whole scene lol. I loved that scene as a misdirect. Jordan Peele is awesome
I love when he punched the one lol. Eff around and find out!
I've heard Jordan Peele say NOPE wasnt meant as an acronym. He titled the film this way because he wanted the film to evoke this feeling.
The chimp story correlates with the main film showing how we've always tried to tame wild predators, hence Holst mentioning Siegfried & Roy. It lends to Jupe thinking that since he survived, that he survived due to being "special" & his hubris in thinking he could tame a predator like his show did. He didn't learn from that experience. The shoe I felt was a metaphor for waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like OJ said, you can't tame a predator you gotta enter an agreement with one.
Also I implore you to try and not compare his films. Each has a different message & gives something new to human perspective or life. This film has merits on its on, it won't be Get Out or Us, & it shouldn't be.
I got sooo excited when I saw this up! 😂
I took the shoe to be another “bad miracle.” Like it has no explanation, so it’s “miraculous,” but decidedly bad
Yeah Kiki Palmer said the acronym thing was just a fan theory
What I love about Jordan Peele is that he seems to create these films almost in the form of an essay, where there is a defining moment at the beginning of the movie - or a quote - which frames the actions and the reactions as the film goes on. Always impressed with his movies; I love the challenge of thinking deeper
I love this film. Not sure if anyone said this but the story about Gordy also shows that even though Jupe was traumatized by what happened with Gordy when he was a kid, he still did whatever he could to be in the entertainment business. People go to crazy extremes to be famous or stay relevant. The cinematography in this film is amazing. It was great on an IMAX screen.
"what if its not a ship" has the same vibes as "your gonna need a bigger boat"
Fun Fact: @ 32:21, the energetic handshake between OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) & Emerald (Keke Palmer) was actually unscripted. In the original script, it just stated that Emerald was to point out that the filmmaker would come with a non electric camera. But for fun, Keke Palmer decided to add in the whole "Let's go boy!" And the handshake impromptu. It's honestly an amazing touch, and really adds to their sibling relationship. 😁💕
"I don't think that's tied to the bottom of a DeLorean " Best line in this video!!!!#Backtothefuture #ThinkMcfly ❤😅
I loved this movie and Peele is a MASTER filmmaker! This film is operating on so many levels...from pure thrills and entertainment to deeper subjects about the exploitation of black people in the history of cinema and our society's obsessions with spectacles, famous people and "bad miracles". I just want to yell THANK YOU if I ever meet him.
Yes, the Gordy story lead Jupe to think he was special (before he started that alien show he pumped himself up saying "remember, you're chosen"), not realizing that the tablecloth made it appear to Gordy that Jupe wasn't making eye contact. He's a kid who processed that trauma through SNL and eventually monetizing it.
I think you guys understood all that screaming when JJ would fly around, it's the people being eaten, so go back to the beginning when Keith Davis was around and you'll hear reports of missing hikers and then screams as the coins and keys drop.
That TMZ camera guy was all about filming the spectacle. Remember he kept asking OJ if anyone caught his accident on film and then when JJ showed up he kept asking for his camera. We humans have problems looking away from things like car accidents and such.
what I've noticed watching all the reactions is that there is no wasted space in this movie almost everything means something, and comes back later.
There was definitely a parallel with the real chimp attack incident. Also to further connect the strings, the woman who was attacked did her first interview and showed her mangled face on Oprah.
Also! At 54:15 you said the monster reminded you of the cowboy hat. In the very poster behind you the position of Yeun's hat is foreshadowing his fate in the movie.
Yeun's hat in the poster is actually Jean Jacket. Its brilliant because you would never notice it until you saw the entire movie. So the entire time they were promoting the movie, they were showing you the alien in the posters
English is not my first language, but after a few times watching the movie, I noticed another theme. The fact that OJ named the "alien" Jean Jacket, as the horse his sister was supposed to tame but didn’t because senior was chauvinistic. It created a kind of fate that, in the end, she was the one meant to "tame", or in this case, kill JJ.
Don't mess with animals! That's all it is.
And when Jupe grew up, he did not
learn his lesson. He tried to "tame" the
spaceship to make a show out of it,
and he paid the price.
20:00 Finally! You are the first reactors to actually peg Host as the main villain from The Crow. Excellent reaction, gents!
Oak has the recollection of a war veteran.. I cant believe he noticed that was michael wincott.. iv watched this movie twice and never caught on.. oak is right though, that dude is a badass old man 💪
ALl of Jordan's movies are really good but Get Out is hisbest work for me. He really knocked it out of the park with the social commentary. I still find hidden meanings watching it.
Get Out was great!
I said this since I seen this film Nope is Peele’s best DIRECTED film while Get Out is Peele’s best WRITTEN film. Idk how to categorize US. I want to see what will be Peele’s best Written and Directed Film is.
@@JohnnySturdivant i would agree with that. Get out is perfectly written. I think the concept of Nope is a little harder to understand, about the spectacle. Get out was more in your face about it. Nope has a really great concept tho.
Keke Palmer absolutely eats up every second of screen time she has
The sound design for this movie was amazing. On IMAX every sound felt like you were there.
And I love the anime references in the movie. The bike drift scene was a reference to Kaneda from the movie Akira. And the creature/alien thing design was inspired by the Angels from Evangelion
The Akira slide was great! When we saw in the theatre, like 20 of us stood up and went "woooooo!"
Angel for MVP! My man!! Brandon Perea absolutely crushed this character! "You don't live here" scene kills me every time 😂😂😂 may I recommend an absolute roller-coaster of a tv show with Brandon Perea? Not even for reactions, just personal enjoyment 😂 The OA. Absolute mindfuck, directing by Brit Marling AND Zal Batmanglij (The Wife with Glenn Close, Christian Slater, Logan Lerman; The East, nothing less than Elliot Page and True Blood's Alexander Skarsgärd, Aldis Hodge!!, Billy Magnussen, Danielle McDonald and much more; and other bangers and cults). And she's the main protagonist!!! TLOU2's Lev's VO and motion capture's body's actor Ian Alexander also is one of the main cast. Two seasons of absolute confusion. Don't know if you'd be up for Haunted of Hill House x>9000 in 2 seasons, but if you're ever feeling brave and/or crazy, go for it 😂
Those people at the Star Lasso Experiance sure did leave different. The motorcycle guy had a hole on the helmet that looked like an eye. That barn scene with the tense music matching the beat of the sprinklers.. and then that whole scene being a misdirect was incredible. Making the UFO the actual alien is a cool take on ufo sigtings. The entire movie has a subtext of.. animal extorsion. And yes Gordy's whole thing is bassed off that real life story. Also Jupe mistakingly thinking he had some special connection to animals.. Gordy because Gordy didn't harm him, and Jean Jacket because he didn't eat him the first few times he tried to use it.. but in reality he simply just didn't understand either situation. The alien is supposed to be something that you just don't understand.. which is, in reality, what aliens would probaly be. This was also a movie that would be much better in a theater, I saw it in Imax and it was one the best theater experiances I've ever had!
UAP stands for unidentified aerial phenomena! I looks around UFO reports and such, and I love how Jordan Peele took a bunch of things that are known theories in the scene, like sky jellyfish, or UFOs being life forms, or them having lived here longer than us, etc. Loved the movie!
Damn I thought this was a „Don‘t Look Up“ movie reaction 😭😂
That is a great idea!
You guys should definitely watch the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy if you havent seen them.
-Shaun of the Dead🧟♂
-Hot Fuzz 🚨
-The World's End🌍
Haven’t watched the video and I’m predicting one of you yells “Glen!” when Steven Yuen appears 😂
😂😂😂😂
Great reactions to spectacular movie! It had all the greatness of an old classic Spielberg movie! This has been my favorite recent alien movie since "Arrival".
Wow man. Jordan Peele masterfully crafts an immersive mystery with horror, sci-fi, & western genres fused together in an insurmountably triumphant spectacle of perfect visuals, great acting, terrifying sound, atmospheric production, and heavy themes. This was scary, complex, hilarious, and hugely multilayered. One of the best of the year. Peele does it again! Love the reaction as always guys!
This movie is one that really took advantage of shooting on imax cameras. Watching it in an imax theater with those shots of a seemingly infinite sky felt so immersive. Very gorgeous to see in theaters.
They mention the main theme a few times throughout the movie - spectacle - & I think you guys definitely get the gist of it. Unlike Peele’s other movies, it’s not a huge twist, but the more you sit with it, I think that’s when a lot of the dots start to connect.
Overall, you can interpret it as showing our misjudgment that we can tame the beast, or just something that we have no business manipulating, for the purpose of exploiting it for spectacle & personal gain. Hollywood did it with Gordy. Jupe mistakenly bases his experience with Gordy as personal proof that he can train the creature. And the Haywoods spend the whole movie also trying to profit off it, but at least are more cautious and respectful of its wild nature.
Less obvious is the story of their Great (great great) grandfather - used to create one the first moving pictures, his image exploited while the man is forgotten to history.
But overall, I think it’s a movie that is also really open to interpretation.
living for the jordan peele reactions
I really enjoy you guys’ commentary, great video. ❤
19:47 Wow ... good catch ... I totally missed that. He was Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood Prince ofThieves
49:06 Gordy's story is important to the narrative. Gordy was a wild animal and Jupe had a grandeur illusion that after his experience with the chimp (connecting with it with a fist bump), he thought he was able to do the same with Jean Jacket (the alien) for entertainment. He didn't learn his lesson and tried to do the same with another wild animal.
This is my third time watching a reaction to Nope, and I have to say your is the best one. I actually got an idea of what was happening in the movie and the story. The other two I watched by other CZcamsrs didn't explain anything and I was left disappointed in the movie thinking it was bad. But this reaction has completely changed my mind now that I understand it better.
Not saying this reaction is NOT good, but my personal favorite was from Blind Wave! One of the viewers grew up with horses and had a lot of great insight, I would recommend it
The one thing I’m giving it MAJOR props for is it’s source lighting. Remember in Hereditary? It’s night and there are shots of the treehouse or around the house that are lit so it could be filmed at night, where is big lighting coming from?
In “Thelma and Louise”, they are driving at night by the Grand Canyon, their headlights are on. Good… and there is light shining up on the high rock walls. If you were actually driving there, it would be total darkness except for the headlights. That insults our intelligence.
Here, the way they illuminated the night was revolutionary. You could believe it’s only moonlight and no unreal source lighting anywhere. I have been on too many movie sets and locations. I would be pointing out to the director, cinematographer, lighting department that those shots are, for a lack of a better term, stupid. After shooting, we’d go and watch the rushes. I’d tell them “See! There is nothing natural or real about that lighting! Sometimes they listen, sometimes not.
I’d really like to sit and have a talk with the head of the lighting department for this film. Absolutely wonderful!!
I love this intro! 🙏 Great editing 👏
😁🤙 i appreciate it thank you
My theory about the shoe standing upright is that the kids brain won't allow him to process what he is seeing, which is the dead girl. So he blanks out the girl and just focus's on something easier to look at, like her shoes
There's an interesting debate on the final scene with OJ. That when she sees him there in the mist she's seeing his ghost/spirit and the "Out Yonder" sign represent that he died. But that his spirit will always be watching over her even though he's gone.
Nooooo! 😭😭
But that makes sense and is brilliant. Because she rode that bike to that park. And he shows up right after on a horse, like how’d he get there so fast?? But it was their park before so I just figured it was closer to their ranch than I originally thought lol
24:50 very nice call back. the DeLorean? BTTF II reference. love it.
watched this one 3 times to get everything together and I love it like crazy!! such an important topic discussed in such enticing way! JORDAN PEELE!!!
I read that the chimp didn't attack the boy because the boy didn't look it in the eyes. If you go back and watch that scene, the boy is looking through the table cloth and not directly in it's eyes.
So, Jordan Peele hadn't terrified me before I saw Nope. I found Get Out to be freaky, Us to be sufficiently creepy, but three central scenes made it so I almost had to turn off the movie; Gordy's Home, The Star Lasso Experience, and the Evil Dead reference ("Monster Umbrella" as Angel called it). The end was more of a thriller, but I still find looking at the clouds to be kinda difficult. The sound design was truly innovative (screams of delight versus screams of terror; was that the wind or a horse screaming...?), and now Peele has made three solid original films. I'm happy to be scared.
You guys need to watch shutter island
He really is a genius and I love this movie. I love how different it is and rather than going for the disgusting horrifying look he went the majestic route😂
Are you sure OJ survived? We are still debating it in our house.
🤔🤔🤔🤔
He keeps making bangers! Love the idea he had with the animals like apes or even aliens shouldn't be controlled and used then people act surprised when they snap
The "alien" is based off a creature from the lovecraftian universe and it got its design from that and some marine animals. Some creatures like stingrays can actually emit a small emp. Scale that up to the size of the UFO and it could theoretically be possible. Theres an interview with the film crew about how they designed and thought of the UFO. Good stuff.
Jordan said this film is about spectacle. About creating spectacle. Watching spectacle. Being in the middle of spectacle. Capturing spectacle.
Jupe internalize the incident with Gordy in a warped way. I think because he was spared from Gordy's attack he thought he was lucky.
One of the movies of the year! Top gun maverick, the Batman and banshees of inisherin just above it for me
For call backs to other movies, on jupes desk there were the golden scissors from US. Also from the Movie US some where in the film there is I think the DVD for Get Out
"Keith David! such a great..."
me: 😬
The, "Another great." walsy gets me as you realize she's never done the speach but heard her father do it a million times so was usd to his number of greats.
The opening audio (right before they show Gordy- where the thudding & crying-out sound is taking place) kinda reminds me of the beginning of NIN’s Mr. Self Destruct.
This is my 2nd favourite movie of the year, behind The Batman.
It’s a lot of green imagery throughout the film. Green is symbolic of greed and nature but also transformation and positive change. A lot of Owl imagery too Jean Jacket eyes look like an Owl.
Gordy and Jean Jacket story’s parallels. They both died from a pop and in front of Jupe, literally and figuratively. They both we’re trying to communicate prior to their death.
The bike slide at the end was epic.
The slide that Keke does with the bike is a homage to the anime Akira. If you've not watched that, DEFO give that a go! I prefer the dub because I already liked the voice actors before I even watched the movies years ago.
The creature to me almost felt like an angel from Evangelion anime.
I saw this on the movie theater and visuals were great, i had no idea where the movie was going at first, I had fun but my favorite from this director has to be get out, that one is still my fav
I’m gonna be real that space alien monster ship really scares me, i don’t want to be digested like that
Jordan Peele is a master of spectacle. This movie is the epitome of the saying ‘Nothing is what it seems’. I’m not gonna call him a genius but Jordan is very very clever. Can’t wait to SEE what he does next!
I think someone else explained and connected the Gordy story with Jean Jacket.
The story of Gordy is that humans do not understand animals. We do not understand how animals act in certain ways with the exception of the experts who had spent their time with the animal. Clearly the Gordy's show producers invited no legit expert, who had studied and understood Chimp's behaviors, on their team. Thus, when the balloons popped it agitated Gordy, I believe some guys commented that the sound of balloon pop is similar to gunshot those this will imply that Gordy knew what a gunshot is.
Jupe is pretty much an amateur. He successfully fed JJ a few times and he thought he could do it again in a big stage. He thought he was special. The thing is just lucky. He didn't understand why Gordy spared him nor why he could survive the encounter with JJ. Thus, when he tried his luck again under the false assumption it became his undoing.
During the Gordy scene that first balloon popped put him in the primitive state then the 2nd popped brought him back to script
I like your content. Yall have great chemistry and good takes. To broaden your base a little. Still do the movies yall like, but I would add some black classic movies in there.
Yes, Quinn, I gave myself a headache with this one and US! You just don’t want to miss anything 😂
My only complaint is there will never be a sequel. You just know, there's definitely more of those things out there. What are they? Where are they? How come only one traveled to earth? What if the moon is actually a giant sleeping alien? There's so many questions and possibilities we'll sadly never get to explore. 4.75 / 5
This movie is absolutely brilliant
The fact that Michael Wincott and Steven Yeun were in this movie was the main reason I wanted to see it. I absolutely love this movie. So creative, all the details. This is a movie!! It's like Jaws did with sharks, now I'm looking at the sky in a different way. I think of UFOS differently now. They might not be a ship full of aliens but a giant creature itself. Which to me seems scarier somehow. I already had a fear of monkeys/ chimps bc this reminds me of the true story of Travis the chimp who mauled his owners friend in 2009. She looks similar to the woman they show in the movie.
Early and ready!!
Aliens are also freaking harming horses too?!😠😡😤🤬👿👺👽
My favorite Peele film
Jordan Peele makes a movie where you have to watch it more than once cause you gotta go back and connect the dots 😂
Also the Shoe. The shoe was floating on the stage. Theory is the ballon popped because of whatever was causing the Shoe to float.
45:39 I know Brandon Perea from "The OA" which is in a cult #Netflix series (2 seasons). Please watch "The OA" it's really GOOD!
This movie was weird as hell but kind of funny. So many questions and no answers hence I had to watch it until the end and it was totally unexpected. I have mixed feelings about it but I didn’t feel asleep which is good enough 😂
😂😂😂😂 🤘🤘🤘
@@Gnossiene369 Here, let me show you how to have an opinion without accusing others of having a hivemind when they don't agree with it.
Nope was enjoyable. It told an interesting story and had good moments. But it wasn't "Blow me out of the water" good. It got too muddied, trying to weave these disparate stories together into a cohesive theme. I get the point - about spectacle and trying to tame the untameable - but it didn't all quite gel together.
See? Easy-peasy. Oh, wait, unless you think people in a YT comments section have actual power?
@@lunacouerI disagree, I feel like everything connected perfectly. It might be my background in odd animals and sea creatures, but I got the themes and connections right away. gotta be my favorite Peele movie yet! Just my personal opinion of course c:
I might also be biased cause I looove creature features and the twist was a very pleasant surprise for me lol
Gordy made the movie! Just *chef’s kiss* 😂 so terrifying!
I loved this movie and how they desensitized horses to ordinary objects that look absolutely scary in their eyes, I work with horses and this was very close to me
It has nothing to do with the video but I got the new Mario movie ad and I can’t wait!!! This is gonna be so iconic!!!! And can’t wait for it to come out !!! Okay I’ll watch this video now lol 😂
Electromagnetic propulsion and thermal updrafts. And it took a crap on their house. REALLY crazy to think about the other sparsely populated areas of the world. Is this one lost, expanding territory or just a solo bird that landed on the planet somehow?
I Didn't even catch that the "ufo" itself was the actual alien organism! wow! also please react to "Don't Look Up" So good!
Yep.
Great video, great reaction! Do you have a fan address where we can send you DVDs?
He wasn’t lying when Glenn said they’ll here different 😂😂
To answer the question of its lateral movement, its clearly made of an INCREDIBLY light membrane capable of extreme durability to laceration. Sort of like the webbing in cephalopods like octopus. It has mastery of every part of its anatomy, cross that with it esentially being a mouth with lungs, it can squeeze, crush, sift prey and propel itself even faster in its saucer form being more aerodynamic.
Beautifully worded. I usually hate alien/space/sci fi movies because they tend to be pseudo intellectual high on its own farts garbage but I appreciate the ones that shoot for cosmic horror. The original Alien, Arrival and this movie do it very well. Such a beautiful alien design it’s pure lovecraft
omg i never noticed the music says “three kids on the floor” at 14:58 right before the kids’ prank!!
this mo is kept me on my toes had to think outside the box
