Yes, it backs up all GR55 settings. GK3 parameters are part of the GR55 settings. Any flash size should work. I think I only used a 1-2 gig back in the day with mine. Yes, I would try initiazing the whole thing. If nothing happens I'd call Roland support.
Any idea what to do if the light no longer works in preset window? I cant find anyone on youtube having this problem .. Mine is 6 years old and I thought as expensive as they are they would last a long time. I only use it for recording ...

Hello do I have to initialize each patch I don’t want to have to reset all the time
Save them by your design and they will come back up the same way.
I get is "USB memory not ready." I am using a newly formatted 8GB USB.

Solved ! Hope to help others with this:
instead of using NTFS format , I change to the old FAT32 !
Works like a charm !
