Hit the brake pedal and the engine falls on its face would have me looking for a vacuum leak. I use a propane torch with a small hose and a piece of copper tubing with the engine idling and listen for a change in rpms. If my hearing isn't great have someone watch the tach and or listen. If it is equipped with a vaccum type booster on the power brake system and you have a vaccum leak its usually not hard to detect. Check your engine and transmission mounts. Check all ground cables hot and cold with an ohms meter and check connections. Could be a sensor in the injection is dirty and needs cleaning. Might be the EGR valve sticking open or gunked up or PCV valve. If it sees a lot of short trips or around town I recommend adding marvel mystery oil to the gasoline it contains a small amount of oil of wintergreen which gently cleans deposits giving it that yummy smell its what I use in everything. If you are due for an oil change run some Techron through it and change that oil is what dealerships usually do. If you know any old smog techs that are sharp with emission systems and tuning engines run your question past them they see all kinds of things like this.

Look at the air filter and see if it’s in one piece and look at the throttle body.

Exactly unplug the battery and reset the ECM. I was actually just thinking that guy with the Chevrolet pickup who showed us the Convoy truck is a good wrench where is he ?

@@YogisCycleService Check the gas cap when you unhook the battery for the reset those sealed systems can do a lot of funny stuff when they are not venting right. A faulty ground wire off the battery terminal can make a bike or car do all kinds of crazy things too so can a positive cable.

@@YogisCycleService Let us know what you find that is causing the problem I am curious. I started with automotive repair and basically got burned out doing it. I still have people call me for it and sometimes it can be fun, I learn something new, and its just fun to help others out.
