    I had the dealer install it for me. The dealer blames the "aftermarket" accessory for causing the green turn signal indicators in the dash to blink more rapidly. Are others having the same issue or it's normal blink rate for everyone?

    And bam, the lower fairings you bought to provide some wind and rain deflection are defeated by a pass through grill on these otherwise nice light's.

      @@Potatohead55 yes, I like them. I'm just waiting to see if they release another version. If not maybe I can make a cover for the backside out of some thin PVC or something similar.

      @@bobbydavis7098 I installed the switchback lights Monday afternoon did a 100 mile ride and I can't tell any difference in wind coming through. I don't think rain will be an issue either because we already have a solid back plate inside the lower fairing. The lights are super bright. I took the bike to the Harley dealer for service Tuesday. I just happened to be standing at the service bay entrance door when I noticed several technicians were standing around while the technician working on my bike was demonstrating the lights. They were all laughing and talking about how bright the lights are. This white shell really stands out on my black bike. I bought them for safety first and I think they will be attention getter going down the road. They are super easy to install or uninstall on my 2020 Electra Glide. This weekend will be a good indicator if I am going to get ribbed about these lights. I am signed up for motorman advance driving course in Port Richy, FL.

    I would have just used a zip tie and put all the slack behind the cover on the lower fairing, and save the taking apart the batwing.

    Any chance all your lights you have going for HD will eventually be for Indian Chieftain/Road Master/Challenger? Custom Dynamic is slipping on cornering the market on them, AdvanBlack should Jump on it. Look at the hard lowers, signal lights, fairing vent and so on just like everyone has for HD.

    Hey man thanks for the video. Any chance these are coming out in an led style light vs the plasma appearance? Also would the extra wiring hide well on a road king special? No front fairing to tuck everything away...

    • @Advanblack
      @Advanblack  Před 2 lety +1

      The smoked lens shows more of each induvial LED.. We took extra time to give ours the diffused look so you wouldn't see each LED...however the smoked ones will show them if thats what you are looking for. There is really no rom to hide the wiring for a road king and if your turn signals are bar mounted these wont work at all.

    Just got these lights, and plugged them in to test first, Turned the switch on, the lights came on, and then went out, along with the front and rear lights of the bike. Tried the directional lights, nothing works on the bike or the LEDs. Unplugged the LEDs, and the bike lights work again. Anyone got any thoughts? Called and left 2 messages at Advanblack, no reply yet.

    Hi Steve, thank you for your support on information. My situation is I have Ciro3d windshield trim, I have LED bulbs in the factory turn signals I purchase from Harley Davidson and added the AdvanBlack switch back in my lowers. When I turn on the switch all lights work fine, to include running lights. When I start the bike up all lights goes out, but if I activate the turn signals they all work, while the bike is running and I cancel the turn signals the lights go back to blackout with no running lights. @@assassin.cb1317 That's great to hear. Glad you found a solution. I thought you were already running LED lights though?
      I'm still working on my install with my bike on a jack so I haven't tried starting my bike yet to test the issue you were facing. I'm putting the Advanblack Dominator fender on, stretched saddlebags and side covers, lower fairing, speakers in the bags and lowers, and most likely relocating my Legends suspension canistors, so it's taking me a loooooong time to do all this work. I'm nearing the end though and my next step is to remove the fairing so I can run the Switchback LED light cord up there.

    Why sooooooo much extra wire? Why don’t you suggest dielectric grease?

    • @Advanblack
      @Advanblack  Před 3 lety +1

      As I explained in the video the extra wire is for the road glide fairings...they attach up near the top of the fairing. If you want to use dielectric grease, you cam. We do not provide it.

    • @rjdavis947
      @rjdavis947 Před 3 lety

      Thx for reiterating why. I helped a buddy install in a RGS, and there Is still a ton of extra wire to deal with. You ever seen or heard of dielectric causing issues?

    • @bobbydavis7098
      @bobbydavis7098 Před 3 lety

      @@rjdavis947 One could always cut and splice to remove unwanted wire. I think they're trying to keep cost down by not making different versions for SG&RG. The extra wire might be useful for folk's that want to get more creative with wire placement. Just my thoughts.

      @rjdavis947 Před 3 lety +2

      @@bobbydavis7098 I hear you, and much prefer your response over my original, thank you. I did watch and listen to video. There is a lot of extra wiring, even For the RG. And my question about the dielectric was to confirm it was acceptable, as we used it during our install.

  • @themullet7573
    @themullet7573 Před 3 lety

    OK, it fits the batwing fairing and that stupid and fugly “shark nose” fairing (which looks like a big microwave oven). But what about the Road King for those of us who don’t want a fairing? I put the AdvanBlack lower on my 2019 Road King and I’m interested in these LED lights.

    • @Advanblack
      @Advanblack  Před 3 lety

      Your road king needs to have the bullet turn signals on the side of the forks like the SG has and not be up on the handlebars. If the blinkers are on the handlebars there will be no way to plug them in.
