      lmao!! I know it was just a joke, but for anyone who wants to learn: just follow the china cymbal! And optionally, follow the melody with side-to-side movement, or move something else on your body (I will either head-bang to the China-cymbal & drum on my knees to the rhythm of the melody, or just hybrid-nod. Depends on the band - I have been listening to a lot of Periphery lately) :)

      Both contain the same number of beats

The riff he plays in the video reminds me of a song but I don't remember exactly which one, but it's certainly norwegian. Check Ea Lord Of The Depths from Burzum. You can always hate the people and love their music, that's what I do heheh. Kidding, I don't hate anyone, just don't agree with them either.

      Brian Lopez Yeah, it's similar but not quite. Electric Funeral is one of the most famous Doom Metal songs, so maybe he adapted the riff from that song.

      Speed metal is too broad of a term imo. Anything with a fast tempo would qualify. This can include everything on this list except doom and maybe black metal. And in regards to Deep Purple not all of their songs are fast-beat

      +Dastan Abat, Mason 11 & Inquisitor Titus, That's totally cool if you heard what you thought were specific segments of recorded music by whichever band you believed was being used to represent their respective sub-genres. However, what you actually tuned into was possibly the influence of said bands on Ben Higgins, for whom EVERY sub-genre example is his own original work based on his interpretation of each style. Absolutely NO sub-genre representation is a cover, they are ALL his original music and tabs are available should anyone wish to learn how to play them note for note, because here and in tabs are the only places they exist. NONE of these tabs can be found thru any of the bands you believe you heard...even if you are correct in the bands that influenced what he chose to create as original work representing each sub-genre.
