    Also attention all c5 owners: I think I may have solved a hidden issue. Check your sun visors both passenger and driver side my light's were stuck on with my 03 c5 completely off. I saw light shining through by barely opening and looking inside the door tray between visor before the light should activate and it was on in fully closed position the tab that closes it stays open sometimes and won't close the door tray needs to not be hollow in the upper right corner you need something to keep that light tab pushed in. I will be doing a sun visor delete soon.

    Excellent information. I had a bluetooth device constantly plugged in my lighter receptacle, and partially drained the battery if I didn't drive my '99 in a few weeks. That was enough to cause a parasitic drain.

    Very enlightening. My C5 every time I wonna use it, its DEAD! A dead battery even lead to the 2mph fuel cutoff nonsense. But yes i ONLY turn the car on every 3 months lol.

      The a&a is an absolute blast. I have a cam, ls6 manifold, long tubes and full straight through exhaust and I’ve created a Porsche and demon killer.
      The kit was easy to install but pneumatic tools help.

    Nice video! On a slightly unrelated note, have you ever noticed the amount of C5 with Whiney alternators? Mine makes a whistling sound constantly and goes up and down in frequency with RPMs. I also hear it in about 80% of C5 videos that I see on CZcams from other peoples cars. I never see anyone mention it.
    No surprise, yours does not make the sound.

      I have not. Mine might now but the WC whistle/wine is fairly noticable and may cover that up.

      @@Toys4Life Have you even done a video on LS1 piston slap? Couldn't find anything. Does your have any ticking on cold starts?

      A little bit during startup for a minute or two, I had a 2001 Tahoe that had a ton of slap for several minutes for many years but never hurt anything. The Tahoe was pretty flattery on those cold winter morning starts.

    Been watching your videos since I picked up my C5Z! Helped me diagnose a lot on this project I bought LOL
    Alternator for me is failing on my '03. Choosing to rebuild it but I cannot find any repair/rebuild kits for it! Do you possibly have ideas on where to grab a kit? Or just bite the bullet and drop money on a remanufactured one?

      If you have a quality rebuilder in your area, try them first. Do a little digging on corvetteforum.com, see five alternators are different depending on year ( I think) and automatic versus manual. Don't be in a hurry to turn in your core until it's been long enough and you're satisfied your new or rebuilt alternator is working properly.

      775 CCA @ 0F and 120RC. Duracell Procell - It is about 8 years old and still going STRONG! I would 100% buy another One.

    Here’s a BONE 🦴 with 🍖. 😂 😂😂🎉
    So it appears from this video that I may have corrosion on the alternator and battery 🪫. Once the engine is at operating temperature. My voltage goes from 14+ to 13.5 or less. Sometimes under 13 VOLTS. 🤕 😣
    It usually stays there as well.
