I only recently starter out lock picking and kept coming across slider pins. This video has been the best explanation I've come across so far. Really easy to understand what's going on.
Do you use the pick to bring the sliders in towards the center of the keyway? I am confused, since for regular pin-tumblers, you use the pick to push the pins towards the outside circumference of the core.

But how is the sidebar itself tensioned? Just by gravity, or is there a spring pressing it into the gates?
