    The textbook didn't go into so much depth about the cells found in the testes. This was very informative, and the story was helpful as well.

    Having the different color of markers assisted greatly in keeping the information in order for each cell, since each cell had several levels of function.

    BIO 327- The different colors made it easer to process and organize the information. It was well done especially with the three types of cells corresponding to the same colors, while using arrows to add information to each specific one.

    MEDA 55 SUMMER 2020: I didn’t say this before, but I really like your intro. I never knew there were different types of cells found in the testes. Now I know there are spermatogenic cells, leydig cells, and sertoli cells. This video was significantly well-made and very educational.

    I really enjoyed the content of this video. The application of the use of DHT and Propecha in your friend's life really helped put things into perspective. The stimulation of drugs and hormones really work like a negative feedback system.

    I bet this video is going to be very helpful for the final. With the many cells involved in this gonad it is tricky to get the function of each straightened out. However, this video really breaks down the role of each cell.

    There are 3 cells in the testes. Spermatogenic cells give rise to all the sperm cells that are being developed. During puberty there is a high prevalence of testosterone being converted into DHT. DHT is a more potent form of steroid hormone. Lack of DHT leads to instances of lack of secondary male sex characteristics. Propecia is a drug that is an inhibitor of the 5alpha reductase. All of this information I found very interesting.

    I love how each information are delivered in the simplest way possible. The color coding even helps me more which one is connected to which one such as how testosterone is interconnected with DHT and later on DHT being associated with libido.

    Very happy that you made a video about this because I wrote the section wrong, mixing up the sertoli and leydig cells- so I was lost most when ever you referred back to these during class. The video is great as well because you put the main concepts that go along with the cell.

    BIO327-02 I think it is cool that LH comes from the anterior pituitary into the leydig cells to influence the production of testosterone which especially during puberty creates the production of DHT. It is like a cascade of events that work in response to one another which is really interesting. I never knew the role DHT had in libido. It is crazy someone would be willing to reduce their libido to get some hair.

    Regarding DHT (better bald then losing what makes you male); I do not understand some people. I have always worked out for strength and performance. Many of my friends worked out just to get large (including some juicing). They now have health problems I don't. Life is an endurance race we should enjoy.

    I was previously slightly concerned on the connection between testosterone and DHT, but this video did a great job at explaining how the 5 alpha reductase plays a role and can allow for the production of DHT and allow for secondary sex characteristics

    I really enjoyed the example about your friend and how his "business" was effected by taking Propecia. To me personally it is much easier to understand the subject if it is related to a situation. Right now I'm taking BIO327 online, but have realized that it would have been much more beneficial for me to take it in an actual class setting, as I miss having examples like there explained to me - hence I really value these videos! Thank you!

    I liked how you explained how testosterone is converted into DHT and your example helped me understand the effects of 5-alpha-reductase inhibition. Overall, the video summarized the different cells of the testes in an organized and simple manner.
