- In the dark forest of my stories the residents are taunted and tormented by visions or memories from their lives; usually those once close being resentful, angry or sad with them (real memories or subconsciously crafted scenarios.) However cats who already experienced their worst nightmares or were unloved all throughout life might instead be haunted by wishes and longings that never were.

Sooo here's a kind of filler since other larger projects are going slow rn. Best experienced with headphones! The audio also featured Weepingwind's voice claim and the visuals are based of my Open Up Your Eyes MAP : • Open up your eyes | CO...
Been wanting to revisit it thematically, the rain was a fun challenge to edit and it was rlly nice to do a more relaxed PMV.
I would like to imagine this empty void is like a dream state were others can still interact such as Ashkit and Crowsong in the mentioned video. A dark forest resident wouldn't be able to escape hell through sleep and instead find themselves in this place. It would also be enterable awake when zoning out/daydreaming. I envisionthe dark forest as a whole shifting its environment based of strong memories in pockets of existence hence why few cats ever meet/cross paths.

Weepingwind sitting static and having almost automated responses to Crowsong really makes it feel like Crow is just speaking to a wall or hologram. It's like Weepingwind was fighting against maternal instincts and her affection for Crowsong

I can just feel the sense of heartbreak and resentment towards Weepingwind. Crowsong is angry, and she deserves to be. However…she still has love for her mother. Weepingwind’s rejection hurt her the most because Crowsong still loved her for being the only cat to show her some love as a kitten. Weepingwind knew she couldn’t truly promise her child that, yet she couldn’t bear to break her daughter’s heart in that moment.
A mother’s love always remains…and so does the hurt. Forever.
Poor Crowkit, thinking she did something wrong. She didn’t do anything wrong, she was just born into a clan full of hatred for lighter-furred cats. I feel so bad for her and Weepingwind, Weeping wanted to love her and be happy because she finally got a kit who survived past kithood, but Raveneye and most of the clan made things so difficult for both of them 😔
Your art is absolutely beautiful!! I was so excited for this to come out, and you never disappoint! The way you draw fur and eyes is just- aaaaaaa! I love it sm!
at first I thought weepingwind was adult crowsong assuring her younger self, but then I was sorta right since she appeared at the end. that's so sick, your foreshadowing and storytelling is amazing

Gah! Don't hit me in face with Detroit: Become Human lines. I love that game and this really made my day. Detroit and Louixie is like Christmas.
Watched this just now and... 😢 Oh, Crowsong... This game still has my heartstrings 💔 Kara's story too...
0:50 Has to be one of my favourite details: Like one comment said, it is like Crowsong/Crowkit is talking to a wall or, in my view, a robot that just gives responses based on the child's feelings in the moment 😔 Weepingwind's eyes being nothing but a shadow definitely has me believing in my theory about Crowsong thinking of her mother and barely remembering her eyes of love, instead replaced by darkness which possibly symbolises her attempt at detachment from her daughter and being lost in her depression 😢 Weepingwind didn't mean to, but as Crowkit grew into Crowpaw and her mother grew more distant, she still told her daughter through her actions alone, no matter how unintentional, that she doesn't care about her. Weepingwind did love her daughter, but she didn't want to hurt them both even more by showing love for her, knowing the clan would've grown even more aggressive 😢 Still loving the complex character approach! I officially headcanon Alice as Crowkit's voice and Crowsong at the end saying forever, either just mouthing it or saying it with her mother's voice being audible compared to hers... 10/10!
Something about the situation is interesting to me on a psychological level, cause I can imagine some (Including myself at first) thinking "Weepingwind should've/could've left the clan with Crowsong the moment they showed aggression towards her daughter" but that's the thing: all her life, perhaps Weepingwind grew up knowing nothing but love from her family and as such, I imagine with such things exactly like CorvidClan's shift in behaviour towards the outcast mother and daughter, that it never occurred to Weepingwind to leave. If she had, maybe she wasn't sure what would've happened if she left with Crowkit - As we have unfortunately seen in Loyal, Brave, True, because of her white fur a bird tried to attack Crowpaw, so I imagine that the wilds are too dangerous for kittens. Especially to those with albinism like Crowsong. We couldn't have known for sure if they both would've lasted in the wild, not to mention the trauma of Raveneye trying to kill Crowkit would no doubt be in Weepingwind's head to the point where she would be afraid to go find other cats with her daughter out of fear that they'll outright reject or even kill her daughter. For all we know, Weepingwind was in a tough situation: leave the home she has ever known with her daughter and risk starvation, predators or other cats or stay in the home she has ever known and hope, no matter what, that things could turn out all right in the end... 😢 Unfortunately, we have seen hints of the outcome
AAAAAAACKKKKKK this art is like candy to my eyes 😭
Bro this is heartbteaking because this dialogue fits so well in Weepingwind and Crow's relationship back then. Crowkit is just a kit there and she doesn't understand why she isn't loved- And the first thing a child would do when they feel threatned or hurt is to turn to their mother figure for comfort and protection. Crowkit vents and seeks for Weepingwind's reliance, but Weepingwind is just so broken and lost is her misery that she can't even say anything to comfort Crowkit properly. We can't see her face, but this scene represents how much Weepingwind wanted to keep her distance from Crowkit, for she isn't capable to be there for her after everything Raveneye and Corvidclan made them both go through.
I can't help but resent Weepingwind for this. I get she was suffering a lot, but she wasn't the only one. Even though Weepingwind got her reputation ruined got cold shoulders from the whole clan and was probally known as "Raveneye's desperate and unfaithful mate go gave birth to THE monster" Crowsong had it much worse and she knows it. Weepingwind just stood while her kit was bullied and beaten-up, being pratically starved and rejected by own father. And yet, Weepingwind chose to prove herself to her clan then to just stay there for her daughter and she needed her most. They were both outcasts. They were both suffering, and that's when they needed to stay together for eachother. But Weepingwind was a coward and let Crowsong suffer alone. I know she suffered a lot too, but Crowsong's life could've been a lot less hurtful if only Weepingwind decided to take responsability for the kit she brought to the world. The kit she loved, the kit the crows have saved. I can't like her for that- She kind of reminds me of my mom who would put her own struggles first before her daughters, and still tell us that she loves us.
I know Weepingwind is loving and stuff, but I still feel bad for Crow for having such a distant mother like her and I wish Omensky could've stayed around more :[
OHHHH MY GOSHHHH 😭😭😭😭 I love crowsong sm and her story (and CorvidClan in general) is soooo well written, every single character is filled with depth and backstory
This is absolutly heartbreaking, especially at the end where Crowsong says "Forever." I guess in a way as what she was hoping for her mother to say.

Louixie, I don’t know if you’ll see this, but you’re one of my biggest inspirations and one of my favorite animators on CZcams. Your environments are simple yet stunning, your characters have amazing depth and unique designs, and I admire the way you draw eyes. You put so much work into these animations and it’s so stunning. Crowsong has a heart breaking story. It looks like her mother was forced by her mate to hate Crowkit since she’s albino, but Crowkit was her first successful baby. After losing so many, she wasn’t even able to properly love her
I find it really ironic that if the Corvid clan hadn't mistreated Crowsong because of fear for their future, then maybe all their fears might not have come true
