    What a beautiful island ! So glad you took us all along. Your friend is a cool guy, very kind of him to join you and provide wheels so you can visit different areas on the island. I wonder how inexpensive, smaller long term rentals are on the sunrise side of the island. Not only do I like the larger waves, but also I'm more of a morning person. Great job on the video! 😎🤙

    I really appreciate your videos. Good stuff.
    I have a problem. Trying to work my way to visit there, but deep down it’s not for me. Don’t like the beaches, don’t like the food, muggy weather maybe poor infrastructure and don’t have the basic luxuries that I enjoy in Manila. So I am staying put.
    But your effort in teaching us such places and enticing more travels should work wonders for many. But then again Manila is not for everyone either.

    • @ThatPhilippinesLife
      @ThatPhilippinesLife  Před 6 měsíci +1

      No taxis yet there, the new development will be banning trike entry and instead have free electric busses, for now trikes allowed in as they added just one bus from Robinson going around. I hope grab and taxis start there. The trikes that have numbers in the front are registered and charge proper prices at least

    Siquijor is one of the better places in ph imo. One major thing which no travel vloggers seem to mention about the place is the fishing and swimming ban that has come into force this year. I imagine paying all that money to stay at coco grove and then not even being able to swim in the sea 😂

    • @ThatPhilippinesLife
      @ThatPhilippinesLife  Před 5 měsíci

      Whoa...but..but I saw fishing and swimming but near the resort I stayed at not the beach bar

    • @MH-hr9wp
      @MH-hr9wp Před 5 měsíci

      It’s not all the time just 3 days every month and I believe only around San Juan area. I know for sure you can’t swim in the marine sanctuary and coco grove beach on those dates. Just something to bear in mind, especially for those who are travelling from far to visit siquijor.

      AI generated but described based on what I saw a lot of, if you stand on the coastal road for 2 minutes you would count more than ten solo girls under 25 on scooters cruising the island. The first stop there was one sitting by the water, she came down to pay her bill and I watched the young guy with the beard try his luck on her. He failed, she looked like this but tattoos

      Cost of living will be high. At present setting, life is slow phase , chill vibes. That’s why many westerners like Americans are deciding to retire in the Philippines and not in Hawaii which is more higher standard of living.
