Idk Fort Worth seemed a lot more nasty from what I seen and the amount of people on the river walk every day it looked good to me . Seems like S.A. Does a lot to keep trash out of the water . San Antonio River always gets hate and there is far worse . I am just guessing but the amount of people partying alongside the river is huge,bars restaurants can’t imagine if it wasn’t taken care of .

That was a rio grande cichlid. Native to Texas. It’s the only cichlid native to the United States and that was a giant one.

Jon, I love what you’re doing with this series and protecting our waters. I think the thing that drew me to your channel in particular was the first video I ever watched, maybe two years ago, you stopped to pick up trash another angler had left and ranted about being better. Your channel helped me rekindle the childhood love of fishing and get back into it. Thank you.

When the pandemic started I decided to take up fishing. I went to CZcams and searched San Antonio fishing and Johns first trip to SA came up. Really pushed me to explore my cities fishing spots. Haven’t stopped since. Everybody put a trash bag in your bag/box and cleanup when you can. Makes a huge difference.
Always bring extra bags with me, have filled up an entire full size trash bag on one fishing trip before. Sad because I live on a tourist lake not too far from SA and people come out here and trash it. A damn shame. And people wonder why the free public fishing and swimming areas are getting fewer and fewer.
Thanks to everyone who pick up damn trash when fishing.
Whenever I take my kids out to the park or on walking trails, we make it a priority to fill up at least one bag of trash.

My favorite thing about Jon B is that he not only advocates for wildlife health and clean ecosystems, but he encourages us to try local restaurants in the cities that we travel to, which in turn boosts the local economy and small businesses! I'm absolutely loving this series its really interesting to see you explore these urban areas and check out different restaurants etc theres probably even little tackle shops and stuff around you that you don't even know about itd be neat to see you even visit little stores like that too I always look on google just to find new things around me I never knew was there. I also love the message these videos have brought about helping the environment and that you can pretty much enjoy the outdoors anywhere your at city or country as long as your willing to explore a little. You should travel each region like midwest, northeast, south, southeast, northeast. And reachout to smaller not known anglers from insta or youtube and take a day or half day to go fish with em for some maybe local unknown spots. It would make good content.

Jon, really appreciate your PSA during this series about cleaning up the lakes and rivers. It is ashamed that people have no respect for the outdoors and will just throw their trash out at will anywhere they may be.
