I always shout 'fire it up!' at the end too! Loving the happy accidents you keep finding - you are the Bob Ross of the props world :o) I love that you make everything seem within reach of the average person who wants to try this. No unobtainable products or tools, just great tips and ideas that anyone can try, if they put in a bit of effort. Champion!

I have no idea what those light guns are for, but they sure look cool! Maybe some kind of old plug 'n' play TV gun game? Another awesome mod, I really like the final look!

Great result. I would suggest getting an airbrush kit to spray some yellow/red/blue laquer paints on the barrel tip to make the look heat distressed.

That looks like a set of blasters for a VHS or DVD interactive game. Those RCA jacks on the back aren't used for the controller interface by any game console I'm aware of and those DB-9 connectors to the blasters are old school, all the way back to the TRS-80. Maybe there's a patent number on the "communicator" box. Thanks for all the videos! Good content.

I really want to get into this model/craft thingy...lol. watching you sanding made me think back to when I was into scale modeling and one of the things I used to do was spray M.E.K. on the plastic and dry with compressed air. then I would spray primer on. had to make sure not to touch the surface or fingerprints would be left behind. M.E.K. drys very fast but its great for making a "key" for paint. yeaha...try it out.

Apologies on the lateness -- I spent last week down with back issues. Great build, as always. As Corporal's Corner says (you should check him out), "Two is one; one is none." Based on their connectors, those guns look suspiciously like a no-name after-market knockoff for an older model Playstation, or maybe an NES...which is almost certainly why they are in the dollar store.

You should try to build a sci fi gun around a wii remote. Like a sci fi rifle but it works as a wii remote that’d be cool.

I couldn't quite see, but are those audio/video outputs on the back of the 'communicator' thingy? I saw a flash of red-white-yellow, or did I? You could try putting some batteries into it to see if it sends a signal to a TV, to identify it. If it was the last working model in the world and was worth $10,000 before you tore it apart, please let us know!

Thanks For All The Comments Gis, Since you left a few - which I 100% enjoy - I'll leave you one, I really enjoy your prose and as a filmmaker your VO or Readings. Really fantastic, your content has been up for a few years so I didn't think to "comment" on the actual videos but this gives me a chance to say thanks for posting those they are really wonderful.

@@createscifi Wow, that's really kind of you, and very unexpected! If you ever need a 'voice of doom' for any of your projects, do please let me know. I don't record so much these days but I spend much of my time reading strange fiction aloud to my partner - I'm her portable audio book service and (if it's night time) sleep induction device! Looking forward to see what you come up with next. I'm a huge fan.
