- I'm converting an affordable HSS Strat style guitar into the Deluze Orphean, Johnny Silverhand's iconic guitar from Cyberpunk 2077.

Maybe not a contestant for the #diykitchallenge but a great learning experience nonetheless!

Watching this led me down a rabbit hole which eventually had me picking my guitar up for the first time in almost a decade and learned the song playing in this video, oh and this build is marvelous work
That sounds perfect, thanks a lot for the feedback! 👍It means the world to me
Thats dope you should.also learn chipin in played by the same people
I can honestly relate. The music from Cyberpunk 2077 actually inspired me to play music again after 13 years. Bought a new guitar and amp. I've been playing steady for 2 months now. I've actually learned Never Fade Away from the game And I'm currently practicing Like A Supreme.
All this with the hopes that I can play better than I used to so I can play Kerry's Song.
In case you're curious this song is called Archangel and it just got released on Spotify and other services recently. Completed with lyricss and stuff.
@@asdev369 yo same, just got a drumkit after playing it, still gotta set it up tho
The song on loop started to drive me insane
My game got stuck looping it post mission when I had to choose to let the voodoo boys keep fucking with me or burn them all. I chose to burn them.
Johnny Silverhand does not conform.
I just realize Johnny’s guitar’s in-lays are nukes! That’s so fucking badass!
I thought they were fish for so long lol
they are fish, just believe in it@@grrwoofarfbark3331
“You don’t say”
the angled bridge is by far the coolest thing and I wanna apply a trem to it
The angled part is merely a string guide, the bridge is hidden under the hand guard. I agree, a trem would be cool though!
@@simonmakes A "silverbridge" ?
@@simonmakes I can barely string my own guitar let alone this!
If you haven't already decided to do this, probably make your own string guide with rolling pins. Some of (in my personal opinion) the best bridges and string guides have roller pins for angles far less intense than this and it ends up being really good for the bridge/guide and strings.
Don't
If johnny saw this he'd probably say something like
"Still ain't my guitar, but i dig it."
You did an amazing job, you didn't ruin the guitar and make it into a prop but actually made the real thing.
Feels like the palm muting would be difficult at first but probably could adapt no problem. This looks identical in every way. I didn’t know what you were gonna do with the angled bridge but you nailed it.
I know this is a year old, but if you made a few of these to sell I'd 100% buy one
Wow
There's a difference between a guitar builder and a guitar player
also there are guitar MASTERS, they can do everything
I think you should make some of these and sell them, I'd definitely buy one.
Edit: NVM, I'm unemployed and broke now, can't afford it
I second that.
I third that.
I fourth that.
I fifth that.
I sixth that.
The attention to detail is astounding. Badass guitar. Subscribed.
Thank you so much! There are several builds out there, I tried to be as accurate as possible.
Man I would kill for that guitar
i know right, someone needs to mass produce that body style of guitar.
Me too
I remember someone on etsy made them but i think he hasn't restocked
So real
k but would you execute a corpo rat on stage?
ok so ive been thinking about the logistics of this build because i wanna do something similar and i kept getting stuck on the pickups. i couldn't figure out where the hell you got square covers for strat pickups..... an then i spottet the filtertron covers and p90 covers and i had to watch through the whole video again, and i realized what you did. your a fucking mad man, and i love it
Haha, Thanks! Just realized that the P90 covers are still on the table at the end of the build - their size is not even close.
Maybe some explanatory words for the back of the class:
What sofie brandt figured out is that I machined and cut those filtertron humbucker covers to size in order to make them fit the single coil pickups. What makes this even sketchier is the fact that I did not know what material they were made of when I ordered them. The descriptions all say "nickel" - but nickel what? Cardboard? Pig iron? Luckily it turned out to be brass so I could solder them back together instead of having to rely on super glue alone.
Incredible craftsmanship! loved the video
Wow awesome work and super detailed
I absolutely love what you have done!!! Cheers.
Love your cosplay! I'll get back to you.
Arch-Angel is such an amazing riff. I never get tired of hearing it

THE

That 11 Marker on the Volume had me!
Great work and nice Details for your Video!
Greetings from GER
Thinking of doing a similar guitar as this but with my own actual use in mind. This a super cool little project, well done!
That's sick as hell, good work dude!
That's really cool man! It looks identical. Congrats!
This is badass! Great job man! 🤘
This is really cool, very well done
freakin' awesome work man!!
Thanks for linking the parts you used !!!
I don't play or know how to play but i wouldn't mind making this Guitar, i love Cyberpunk so much :D
Awesome work man!!!
very well made!! love it.
WoW , awesome man !
Awesome work. Wow
I want one now. This look amazing!
Well there are DIY projects, and there is this. Amazing instrument. Those inlays are a work of art!
Such an awesome video and turnout! Subscribed!
Simply awesome! Really wish i had the tools and skills to do this
So cool, I definitely gonna buy
Yeah I was a bit skeptical about the bridge. Amazing job man!.
Wow thats incredible
Sweet looking guitar! 🔥
Haven't played the game, but seeing this makes me a bit more interested to try it out. As if I had time to indulge myself like that... 😅
Thank you mate!
I think the game is certainly worth looking into - but finding time is a problem, I get that. 😉
This is pretty cool but it seems like the video skips some pretty important steps around the angled bridge construction. Would've liked to see more of that.
Agreed!
you 're a legend!
never expected a letterkenny reference watching this great job on the guitar as well!
THIS IS AMAZING. I need one so bad
Same 😅 !
Nice build 😮
Nice work choom!
I am so impressed! Very nice pal :)
Thank you! Glad you like it! 😎
Amazing!!
Sweet build! Makes me wanna do something custom with my own
Your doing the lords work Sir.. respect!.
As much as I can - Thank you so much!
a thing of beauty !!! :)
Sure do love this riff...
Watched the whole vedio and at the end saw tha you have only 600 subs, you deserve much more
Nice work on the guitar looks badass wish I had Johnny sliverhands guitar I bet it looks great on the wall
this is an awesome build makes me wish i had this and i'd actually get me to learn guitar to play like johnny honestly i'd have this hung up on my wall by my desk with my edge runners led light so i could also admire it while playing cyberpunk this is metal af dude
Hey, thank you so much!
In fact, I have it on the wall by my desk. 👍
Iove the spinal tap reference
Coole neue Akse Simon, saugeil!!!
I made one to thanks to you, didn't have all the great tooling but it turned out really nice thanks for the video
That's so cool! I'd love to see it!
@@simonmakes czcams.com/video/60N3r9G0SME/video.htmlsi=d08IRu3W-ux75QfA
Good to know that in the future guitars are still guitars
HELL YEAH 🔥🔥🔥
I need one of these
nicely done, choom!!!
i would love to buy one of these
Amazing build! I come back to this video every once in a while just to watch the craft! Was curious if you’d ever make another for someone who’s willing to buy or if this is just a one-off? Regardless I love all your stuff! ❤
Supreme guitar, choom. If I evet had a chance to pick a replica up I'D HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE!
I love how the Strings go around the corner!
For no apparent reason other than style! 😁
epic!
i wonder how it feels to be this cool
The design decision to put that metal cover over the bridge must have been made by someone who has never picked up a guitar before, as it renders palm muting impossible. Also the tuning stability must be amazing...
Both statements are correct! 😉
Would make no sense for the kind of music played with the guitar, but it's worth noting there have been guitars made with bridge covers before, mainly from Fender (see the original Telecasters, 70s Strats, and Mustangs)
Johnny Silverhand has a metal arm. So the wear on that side of the guitar, and the bridge cover, kinda make sense in universe.
@@aamry His metal arm is the left one, his right hand is organic
@@saxwastaken Oh, you're correct, nothing makes sense anymore.
I would 100% buy a left handed version of this!!!
"Nice axe."
awesome
God I wish you had recorded more of it playing
It looks absolutely stunning! Would love to play something like that. I'd shorten the guard plate as much as possible though, seems like it would make palm muting really difficult.
I would kill for that guitar
That is badass ( i want one )
Ive always wanted to do something like this to a guitar, i was thinking of trying it with a cheap strat style just for practice and rehearsal of such extreme modding
That was my thinking exactly - way to go! 👍
Thank you algorithm for showing me this. That looks amazing.
Btw, the official replica guitar also have a strap with Chinese words, "老马" which is Old Horse, most likely from the proverb "老马识途" The Old Horses Knows The Way.".
Love this so much! Well done! Only question is where did u find that stainless steel selector switch? All I can find are the knob caps but I love how that little bar looks
Thank you so much!
I turned it on the lathe, could not find it anywhere.
You done this with my benton damn
It was recently announced that they're going to make a live-action CP movie. You should contact the producers to see if they want to use this in the project.
Fr even if it only ends up a subtle thing for game fans like it’s in a display somewhere, this would be so fuckin cool
WHERE AND WHEN WAS THIS ANNOUNCED
damn... this is incredible. I wish I had the talent to make one of these! Would there be any chance of any of these or this going on sale in the future? This was also the first video of yours I watched and you gained a sub. Keep it up!
I am so tempted to make a flying V version of this
proud of ya, choom
The Andertons reference! Shaffordable!
Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well.
AWW man , tickled the ol beanbag! bravo!
Those nuke inlays add so much
My vote is for you)
Magnificent. Great job
(Video to short in my opinion)
Nice
actually gonna try making this myself ! gonna be using a circular saw tho, also prolly won't do the neck and fretboard.
This is fuucking cool
Cool
This is so awesome! How much would it take for you to make one to sell?
İ wish i had a guitar like that
"Tonight's the night that we won!" That's awesome. Would love to have it in my collection.
Looks incredible, spot on. Just finished my first cyberpunk playthru and I’ve got a couple partscasters that this is motivating me to combine into something inspired by this. where’d you find the little T-handle for the selector switch?
Thanks a lot! Had to make the T-handle on the lathe, couldn't find it anywhere.
dang, yeah I figured it was probably a custom made part. Thanks for the reply!@@simonmakes
God damn I want an Orphean.
I need this guitar
Is this a one off or do you take commissions? Because this is stunning and I must have it!
what is the angle string guide that you used and how did you install it? thinking of doing this
man that like strandberg type bridge is giving me anxiety lmao
Very cool, although I was very sad that you didn't include the fitting of all the body hardware. Went from paint to pickups and bridge tuners etc already installed. Which was pretty much the bit I wanted to see in the video
