Inspired by the Fan-o-rama film and the life-like Hypnotoad created by @FrankIppolito , I wanted to make my own. I used ESP32 microcontrollers for the animation of the eyes, which are round 1.28" displays covered with glass cabochons. Thank you so much! I downloaded a video of the Hypnotoad from YT and cropped it so that only one of the eyes remained. This video I converted to an animated .gif which the ESP32/Oled combo can display on a loop.

I made that using the shoulder bolts from the original trem system and a piece of sheet metal.

I know this is a year old, but if you made a few of these to sell I'd 100% buy one
is there any way you could provide the measurements for when you cut the wood at the bottom for the angled bridge along with the metal inserts?
Well, as the exact measurements will depend on the shape of the actual body you are using as well as the lenght of the tuners, here's what I did: The tuners sit at a 45 degree angle in relation to the strings. I placed the whole 'block' so that the tuner for the low E string would not stick out past the bodyline. I drew a line for each string onto the body (from the actual bridge downwards that is), then intersected these lines at the 45 degrees I mentioned above. The angle plate with the six screws sits exactly in between - at 22.5 degrees. You really neeed to draw this onto the body to make sure the angles and string distances turn out correctly.
I really wish there was some way to buy the wooden parts and the metal inserts of the guitar already cut and made :( anyone able to help?

How did you get the lock face geometry just right ? You didn’t end up with and lock rock or blade play? How did you know what thickness to grind the white paper to like was it the same as the original blade? I have so many questions lol I am sorry. I’ve only ever made fixed blades from scratch but I would love to make blades for my folders
Well, around 1:58 you can see that I traced the outline and the holes from the original blade. I left a bit extra to allow for some fine tuning to avoid lock rock as you mentioned. I ordered the white paper stock with pretty much the same thickness as the original blade so there was not much to do in terms of overall thickness. As the blade is not hollow-ground or anything, measuring the angle was pretty straightforward as well. As long as all of this is dialed in before hardening (obviously) you should be all right. (Tbh, the Ambitious is not a super-precise knife to begin with - but that's what made it a good beginner project in my opinion.)

Because they don't look anything like those you used on both your Guitar ? I don't know anything about guitars so i might be wrong, i just think it might be a cool project for summer 🥰
Way to go, fellow European! 😁 The humbucker covers are the same - I have to modify them by cutting out the middle section and soldering them back together. Sketchy stuff.. But if you want to try the build yourself I'd love to see it!

I've never soldered before so that'll be a first. In the cyberpunk universe. Fender, Gibson, Yamaha are canon to the lore. With the advent of new alloys & polymers, and the outlawing of deforestation. Guitar maker's will take classic guitars and modify them just like you did. This is most likely how Johnny Silverhand's guitar was made in the Cyberpunk universe.
