House MD || Saying Goodbye To An Excellent Series

- I started watching House back in 2008. The show is so beautifully written and expertly shot. The main character - Dr. Gregory House - often clashes with his patients and co-workers due to his cranky and sarcastic attitude. This often leads to the alienation of himself - but adds colourful humour as the complicated medical mysteries unwind. When I found out that the series was coming to an end in May of this year - I felt that it was in fact good news. The series should go out with its dignity intact while it is still at the top of its game. Although it will be quite sad accepting the fact that there will be no [H]ouse anymore...
Anyway - I decided to make this little tribute to Hugh Laurie as Gregory House. I plan on making a massive one after the series concludes. I could not get Season 8 to work with the video editor I was using.
Thank you Mr. Hugh Laurie and Mr. David Shore and to all the cast and crew who worked hard to make this show amazing!

Every single element of this mind-blowing show makes you stop,think and make links to it to your own life. House has surprising connect with most kinds of people. This is why I believe he was one of the most complex,and best characters ver made in television history.

I wrote this comment right after I finished the 8th season, so I was pretty sad that it is all over now.
But in the last few months I realised that I should be thankful for this great series instead of being sad.

Paul D We all loved this medical version of Sherlock Holmes. We enjoyed watching him run in circles in his wheel, act like a child, and crack whatever puzzle that was tossed in his direction in the ingenious ways he does. We kept of of his ideology with us (which ones vary person to person.) We are a little more like House. Hughe Laurie did a great job with this character and as did the writers. We got a good ending to a great show, but nothing lasts forever. The story can't go forever, and Hughe Laurie doesn't even think he would be up to the task anymore. He's is getting to the point where it's roles that don't require every fiber of your being so that he can work on his music, and be with his family. Sadly I don't think we will see a return of House, but I like to pretend after Wilson's final months House wen't on to research Dark Matter. Something he had profound interest in throughout the show.

I went through rough times, this series was my get away thing, i broke up with my girlfriend after a 5 year relationship, i lost friends... Now i am in med school :) everything is possible
I needed this. I feel the same way and just came out a 5 year relationship. except I'm not in med school. Its just too daunting for me and I'm not sure I have the dedication and drive. But hopefully I find my way to figure out life.

I didn't like Breaking Bad at all.
I actually thought the show would end when House jumped off the balcony, and then he screamed "Cannon ball!" LOL
It freaked me the hell out xD But I knew he wasn't gonna die because someone spoiled the series finale for me.
Incredible, all the pathos, the pain, the anguish. Just recently got into house, and it won't let me go. Overwhelming. Great powerful video, Laurie should have 8 Emmys for each year of the series. Thank you for making this, amazing, and heartbreaking.

This series ended like it should in a bittersweet ending which was perfect considering the tone of the series.

you see? you can see it clearly that this is parallel of sherlock, Sherlock did fake his death but he came back !! now, do the comeback of House ! as in the books "Sherlock Holmes- The Empty House", he comes back and continues his work !
House is based on Sherlock. But, instead of continuing his work, I think he just go away after he comes back..
Actually, the death faking parallel happened when House cannonballed into a swimming pool in I THINK Season 4 Episode 16.

House is probably the best tv show i have seen, especially how Hugh Laurie plays his character with such passion and emotion, it's sad to see such a great series go...
I like the scene in the beginning, about House feeling nothing, because I watched this video right after I finished the series and that was exactly how I felt at the moment, haha! I didn't feel good or bad; I felt nothing. And I felt like I needed something like House loves his Vicodin because I was so emotional, lol. Great video!
I think there are only a handful of videos on youtube where the ratio of likes to dislikes is 4400 to 28. That's pretty outstanding and it just shows how much of a great show this is.
This show has taught me so much about life!! I just finished watching it on Netflix. I did not want it to end! House is a show that everyone needs to watch! It will inspire you, make you laugh, cry, and say oh shit! did that just happen?

Great Tribute Man!!! Laurie playing Dr House will have to go down as one of the greatest role played in TV history. I've lived and breathed this show for 8 years... seen every episode on Mondays (or later on dvr) it will be tough..... plus they always have great soundtracks.

For a show that ran for 8 seasons, you'd think they were milking this show dry. Guess not, so happy it had an ending that made sense, unlike Dexter. I'd put House M.D up there with Breaking Bad and with other timeless shows.
This is beautifully made. House has been one of my favorite shows for a few years and to know that's it's ending is a depressing thought. It's such an intelligent show, but it also shows that even the smartest and confident of people have problems they must deal with. It has really touched my heart and it will always be one of my favorites.

Such a great character. I do share alot of his views tbh. And I think that many, if not most people do the same. For my part I realised upon watching this series that people indeed never change, that everybody (including me) lies. Damn, he even made me think about faith, or let's say, the stupidity of it. I deeply miss this guy.

The moment I started watching this movie my entire perspective on life has changed. It is the best and most complex of all the series I've seen and I'll ever see. I feel like a chapter ends with this season, but I will always remember house as the most iconic movie character and the whole series as the best ever.

I just think the people who understands him suffer on a daily basis. Enduring the pain and misery. Trapped in our loneliness, yet admired by many and hated by just as many. People who accept to become the scapegoat.
I find it more likely people who feel some connection to House will due to the loneliness in the long term become introverts. I don't believe they all are.

WalterPinkman - Your absolutely right. There is a little of HOUSE in all of us. While I will miss the Series The Writers did a great job staying on point. Hugh Laurie was a great choice in a Actor to play the HOUSE Character and he made that Character believable. and while I believe it also heightened the careers of everyone that played in the series It also reenforced my belief that great television shows are still out there in TV Land.

Based upon Sherlock with a man with Nietzschean ideas, WHICH makes this series original. The sherlock part isn't even the focus of this show. It is just a given skill. The greater thing of this show is the dialogs between every episode. How he shatters more and more and become less and less human.
Go re-watch it.
I think the only people who can understand Gregory House are introverts who are every day in pain and have depressions (like me). My mum is an extrovert who doesn't understand how depression works and every episode she says that House is a jerk and deserves it, but I like him. He's one of my favorite characters because every character is always so happy and has a lot of friends, but not everyone is lucky enough to have friends and feel good everyday. When they wake up, they feel pain and no will to live. Although House is a fictional character, he understands it and he feels the same. All of his atheistic and depressed quotes about how life works are true. When I saw the episode, when House cuts himself, I realized something. I realized that we are more similar than I ever thought. He really inspired my life. I feel like he is the only one who could ever understand, although he's a fictional character, sadly.
I know nobody would read this but: this is what came to my mind when I saw this video and thought about Gregory House. It was hard to express my feelings, also because my English is very bad.

Thankyou SO much to the makers of this show! This TV series has been life changing for me, and I'll never forget those great House moments, each and every one of them. Thanks for this very nostalgic take on one of thee best TV series I've ever had the privelage of seeing. Dr Gregory House is one of those characters that I will forever carry in my heart. It's sad that's it's almost over but I can't wait to see conclusion, and besides, I'm certain I'll still be watching it for many years to come.
